Navigating the city's polluted atmosphere, I moved cautiously, the poisonous fog affecting not just the monsters but humans as well. The skin exposed to the violet fog turned black, a visual reminder of the perilous conditions.
As I pressed forward, a colossal shadow caught my attention. A massive monster, resembling a rhino, confronted an insect king species within the fog. The cries of the battling monsters echoed through the polluted air, a testament to the struggles unfolding in this transformed world.
With Hydra's venom feng gripped tightly in my hand, I continued my journey. The city's once-familiar structures now stood as a haunting backdrop to the ongoing conflict. The streets were fraught with danger, both from the monsters and the poisonous fog that permeated the environment.
[You have entered the region of the second main quest.]
[The land of this area is deeply polluted.]
[Be careful about your breathing and move out of this area as quickly as possible.]
The system messages urged caution, emphasizing the severity of the environmental hazards.
Acknowledging the urgency of the situation, I quickened my pace through the desolate streets, doing my best to avoid direct exposure to the poisonous fog. The distorted echoes of monster battles and the eerie silence of abandoned buildings created a disconcerting atmosphere.
As I was getting away by poisonous fog I opened my status window.

Distributing the attribute points to enhance my agility, I could feel a surge of newfound swiftness and responsiveness coursing through my body. The decision to prioritize agility seemed crucial in navigating the hazardous environment and evading potential dangers.
With the adjustment made, I continued my journey through the polluted city, my heightened agility proving valuable as I deftly manoeuvred through the dangerous terrain.
As I ventured deeper into the city, the atmosphere became increasingly oppressive, and the violet fog grew denser. The altered landscape revealed signs of both human and monster struggles, remnants of a world in upheaval.
I activated Shadow Step, allowing myself to seamlessly blend with the shadows and move with unparalleled stealth.
With each step, I harnessed the power of the shadows, avoiding confrontations and conserving energy for the challenges that awaited me.
[You have reached the edge of the polluted city.]
[You are now out of the reach of a polluted city.]
I deactivated shadow skill as I reached the outside of that content with poisonous gas.
The black skin soon started to turn normal as I released a tired sigh.
"That was the close one," I muttered to myself as I looked around my surroundings.
There are not many buildings anymore, but the remnants of a once-thriving city lay in ruin, a testament to the chaos that had befallen this transformed world. The landscape, now devoid of life, stretched before me as a desolate panorama of destruction.
From where I stood I could see a hill that led to the underground station.
"I should avoid the building as much as possible and get out of here by using the trail on the hill."
With that, I headed for the hill behind the old broken building. There was a trail with old wooden stairs and several benches along the path.
"It's so quiet here." Feeling a little disturbed I called out my 3 skeleton goblins outside of my shadow.
I didn't call Hydra because he would attract nearby monsters with his massive figure.
Two skeleton goblins walked in front of me while another walked one step behind me.
"Wait a minute..."
While walking up the trail, I suddenly stopped. Then the skeletons walking ahead also stopped.
A light breeze blew over the hill and passed over their heads.
Lowering my body, I turned towards a shady place among the trees.
Rustle—
Something was standing tall there. It seemed like a fight had broken out because there were several goblin bodies here and there, with pools of blood around. And a large axe was stuck in the head of a goblin's body.
There was also an unconscious woman right side of the monster.
At that moment, a guy who seemed to be the winner of the battle drew an axe, sensing human footsteps. He furtively turned toward me.
It was a green-skinned orc with fangs jutting out its mouth, a human as tall as two meters.
Lifting the axe high, the orc roared, signalling the start of the fight. It was signalingarged toward me with the axe. I pulled out my dagger while the skeletons dispersed in all directions.
The orc charged toward me with the axe raised high, a menacing roar reverberating through the desolate hill. I gripped Hydra's venom feng tighter, the sleek dagger gleaming in the eerie light.
With a quick sidestep, I evaded the orc's initial swing, feeling the whoosh of air as the axe missed its mark. Seizing the opportunity, I lunged forward, aiming for the orc's side.
"Paralyze!" I commanded, activating the special effect of Hydra's venom feng. The dagger's blade connected with the orc's side, injecting the paralyzing venom.
The orc's movements slowed, its muscles locking up as the venom took effect. Seizing this advantage, I swiftly retreated, creating distance between us. The orc struggled to move, its roars now reduced to frustrated grunts.
Meanwhile, my skeleton goblins closed in from different directions, ready to assist in the fight. The orc, still partially paralyzed, swung its axe wildly, attempting to fend off the approaching skeletons.
I seized the moment to assess the unconscious woman nearby. She seemed to be a survivor of the orc attack, possibly rendered unconscious during the skirmish. With a quick glance, I confirmed she was still breathing.
Deciding to focus on the immediate threat, I circled the partially paralyzed orc, analyzing its movements. The venom's effect would wear off soon, and I needed to capitalize on the opportunity it provided.
As the orc's movements gradually regained speed, I directed my skeleton goblins to coordinate their attacks. One distracted the orc from the front while the other two flanked from the sides.
Taking a deep breath, I prepared for the next phase of the battle, the eerie silence of the hill now punctuated by the clash of metal and the grunts of the orc.
