Baranor with his new group of ghouls rushed forward into the horde that was in front of them, slashing and hacking his way forward. As the ghouls he commanded pushed forward, the enemy ghouls were confused as to why their brethren turned against them, however it didn't matter to them as they started to attack the ones Baranor dominated. Baranor realizing that in order to fulfil the mission he had to start actively trying his hardest to dominate all the ghouls he came across. Baranor let his sword hang down as he let the ghouls be his front line, as Baranor started to focus his energy once more. Time one again slowed as he focused on the new assault of the ghouls he felt power of the ring and forced his will upon the creatures.
"Serve me!" Baranor said
As another batch of ghouls fell to the ground just to stand up once again to turn against their old allies. Baranor pushed forward once again with Talon by his side and having a somewhat stable frontline to keep the horde busy. This gave Baranor enough time to go deal with the long ranged mutated ghouls. Baranor rushed forward while leaving the ghouls under his command to deal with the constant barrage of ghouls. Baranor reached the mutated ghouls just in time as the ghouls under his command fell to 0. Baranor wouldn't let their sacrifice go in vain as he was already assaulting the ghouls back line, Baranor rushed towards the closest mutated ghoul which had a small group of about 10 ghouls guarding it.
'Perfect!' Baranor thought
Baranor instantly dominated the ghouls close to the mutated one making them turn and attack the mutated ghoul and bring it to Baranor. The mutated ghoul looked slightly stronger than a regular ghoul but other than that nothing really stood out apart from the acidic goo dripping from its mouth burning the ground. Baranor went up to it and and attempted to dominate it, Baranor instantly realized the deference between dominating a mutated ghoul and a regular one, as the mutated one forced him to focus a bit harder on just dominating one of them. Baranor with his new squad of ghouls, along with a mutated ghoul and Talon, once more pushed forward to their next target. Baranor continued his rampage across the forest until he finally had 50 ghouls under his command including 7 mutated ghouls.
'Not too shabby!' Baranor thought to himself in excitement
--------------------------
-Mission: Dominion (Complete)
-Quest: Fill up the Domination bar
-Current: 50/50
-Skill: Domination: (Level up!)
-Now able to dominate 100 beings with a slightly higher mental capacity
--------------------------
Baranor looked at the quest complete with a smile, although his 50 ghouls compared to the swarm of ghouls Infront of him wasn't much he could still at least put up a decent fight, but now that the limit was increased and the mental strain put on Baranor was lessened he now actually had a chance to win. Baranor rushed forward with Talon and the ghouls under his command into the horde as they started to slash, bite, tear and lob attacks at the enemy. As Baranor was actively making an effort to dominate as much ghouls he could, he realized he could dominate slightly more than before, instead of just 10 he could dominate around 12-13 ghouls if he pushed himself, however he also realized the mental strain using this power was putting on him as his head started to thump in pain. Baranor seeing the situation Infront of him ignored the pain coming from his head and kept pushing forward. For every ghoul Baranor lost he would actively try to dominate 2 more to replace it making sure to dwindle the enemy ghouls number slowly but surely.
When Baranor finally started to see a dent in the horde of ghouls a sudden roar erupted from the back of the horde which seemed to be a more powerful roar than all the other ghouls surrounding him. The enemy ghouls all of sudden started to screech in unison and attack more ferociously and desperate. Baranor responded in kind commanding his ghouls to increase their onslaught of attacks, however Baranor knew that this would simply tire his small army of ghouls out and eventually he himself would probably succumb to the excessive use of his ability and the ring. The more Baranor used the ring the more he started to hear strange voices in his head as they slowly grew longer as the fight with the horde went on, making Baranor rash in his decision making. Baranor knew he had to end it soon as he felt his conscious started to slip, he commanded his ghouls to make a way and jumped atop Talon and commanded him to rush forward through the horde of ghouls.
On the way to the main problem of the ghoul horde, the ghoul krol, he slashed at any and all of the ghouls who tried to grab onto Talon and Talon himself trampled any who were Infront of him. Baranor seeing the count of the ghouls he dominated starting to drop more rapidly he felt rushed to end it, however he wasn't foolish enough to face the ghoul krol alone. Once Baranor was close enough to where he could see the ghoul krol who was easily twice the size of a regular ghoul and had eyes that were glowing yellow with teeth as sharp as daggers and claws to go with it. Baranor jumped off of Talon and rushed forward while dominating the ghouls nearby, bringing with him a group of around 50 ghouls. Baranor started to feel strange, as if his head was clouded being overrun with a constant whisper that was so loud it was basically screaming, yet he couldn't understand a single word. On the outside, Baranor suddenly froze while the ghouls rushed forward to the enemy, Talon looked at his master confused wondering why he froze all of a sudden. Baranor started to feel as if he was starting to slip into a deep slumber until he heard a sudden piercing voice that spoke a language he could not understand with a burning blue eye with a white iris looking at him, Baranor stood there frozen in his mind. Baranor could do nothing except look at the burning eye as he felt stiff as stone even when he tried to use all the will he could muster to move his body simply didn't listen.
All of a sudden Baranor felt his body moving however it was as if it wasn't him in control, as if he was but a spectator in his own body. Baranor or rather whoever was using his body at the time grabbed ahold his sword and pointed it forward as a strange mist enveloped the area blinding the enemy, however what was strange about this fog was that Baranor could still see perfectly fine as if it was a translucent mist. Baranor still watching all this happened was quite confused on what was going on until finally he had some control of his body, yet he felt different, his head was strangely clear yet clouded at the same time. Baranor looked on at his ghouls pushing towards the ghoul krol and he felt this strange feeling of superiority.
Baranor looked at the ghoul krol and felt as if he was above having to deal with such a creature yet he still felt a need to destroy it. Baranor took a step forward and nearly instantly he was Infront of the creature, the creature in question could hardly believe what it was witnessing. It was watching the man with a look of disbelief as the man took control of his use to be minions, looking at the small group of traitors with the large bear of the forest which intruded upon its territory, the ghoul krul was extremely annoyed at what was happening. Yet it kept its head clear and used the perks it held as an advantage over the enemy, a horde of ghouls so large it seemed impossible for anyone to face it alone.
The ghoul krol watching Baranor witnessed the mans eyes glow a blue hue as a strange mist surrounded him and its comrades and one second later the man appeared before it with his sword raised high. Baranor ready to strike the creature down slashed at its chest with such force it made the creature fly away, the creature in question couldn't react fast enough and was in disbelief in what happened. The ghoul krul was not a weak creature even without the horde of ghouls by its side it still was classified as a tier 2 creature which was just as strong as Talon if not more so, yet it was destroyed so one-sidedly. Baranor with the power of the ring and the buff of the mist was able to one-sidedly handle the ghoul krul with ease, however the strange feeling within him didn't settle down, and in fact it kept increasing as he was filled with rage as to why someone as brilliant as him had to even deal with something like this.
'A coup? Who cares I'm above such things! Reven-' Baranor suddenly stopped his way of thinking and realized something
'What the hell is happening to me!' Baranor thought to himself
