Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1

Mount Olympus

Everywhere was dark, the skies underneath the tall castle called Mount Olympus grey and dull.

The pointed rocks surrounding the castle become blunt, a scent of emotions: death, love, and boredom filling the air.

Emotions were so strong that they moved in the air like a scent, the gods sighing in boredom.

"Zeussss" A singing voice called.

"Hello Erato" Zeus spoke his voice deep and commanding, though boredom was evident in his voice.

"Ares wants to speak to everyone, he says he has an announcement," Erato says in a very high-pitched voice.

"FINALLY! Tell Ares I'm waiting" Zeus said in excitement standing up from his large throne made of stone.

His white shirt flowed down, anything below it covered, a gold ring-like object connecting the front of his shirt to the back.

A tall figure walking in the open room with only pillars and a roof- could hardly be called a room.

"Are the gods of Mount Olympus  that  bored?" Ares called stepping into the room, his armour clinking as he ascended into the middle of the room.

"Ares, what was so important that you called every god to the centre of Mount Olympus?" Zeus questions, a delicate eyebrow lifting.

Ares moves his hands from his side, raising to his face and snapping his long fingers covered in tailored metal.

A mirror appeared next to Ares, its frame was golden, its glass carrying not even a single smudge.

The mirror was enchanting, carrying a purple-like aura around its elegant frame carvings.

The mirror was dark though, it almost looked like a TV screen that wasn't plugged into a socket.

The Earth's mirror.

"WHO WANTS TO PLAY A GAME!" Ares announced, the gods' ears peaked, excitement moving through the air.

Moros lifted his hand above his head, his golden rings moving around his fingers. "How about a doomsday game?" Moros, the spirit of doom suggested.

The irony.

"I don't see why not," Ares stated, his head turning around, facing toward Zeus as if to ask for permission.

Zeus opened his rosy lips to speak but was immediately cut off by a soft feminine voice.

"I'll tell you why not" her voice boomed as she she moved forward, her white peplos with gold detail touching the ancient grounds of Mount Olympus.

"Seems like a perfect idea to me Tyche" Zeus challenged.

Tyche, goddess of prosperity and fortune.

Voices of the gods and goddesses ran across the room as they mumbled to themselves.

"Shall we take a vote?" Tyche asked.

Zeus looked around, his golden orbs glistening.

"I have no problem with that" Zeus responded clearing his throat, rolling his large hands into a fist, putting it upon his chest, and letting out the loudest cough.

"ALL IN FAVOUR OF THE DOOMSDAY GAME SHALL RAISE THY HANDS" Zeus roared, his voice echoing throughout all of Mount Olympus.

Dionysus's hand was the first to go up, he was the god of entertainment after all.

Ares's hand shot up as quickly as Dionysus, but even more graceful.

Moros's hand is followed by those of Aterus, god of destruction, and Circe, goddess of magic, with many other hands following suit.

Iapetus, god of mortality, Charon, the ferryman of Hades, Mania, goddess of insanity, and many more.

"Do we need to ask for those against?" Zeus questioned.

The majority of gods and goddesses already decided, Tyche let out a breath of frustration, flipping her long blonde hair as she walked away.

Zeus and Ares watched her walk away, smiling as she exited the room, "Where shall we start?" Ares thought tapping his chin.

"How about something entertaining?" Dionysus announced, "That is my specialty".
