Chapter 2 - Dang, she's heavy.

EAMON.

I stood up from my seat, bolting for the door. Everybody around me shared looks of confusion, the teacher looking worried.

"Is something wrong, Eamon?" she asked, looking at my pale face.

"T-th-e wi-wind-dow," I stuttered, pointing out the window at the side of the classroom.

"Are you sure you're alright?" she asked again, ignoring my sentence.

A scream erupted from the back of the classroom, the large window at the back of the classroom breaking.

The rest of the class followed suit, screaming their lungs out.

A large octopus was trying to wiggle its way through the broken window into the small classroom that barely had 15 tables.

The class started to panic, the octopus tail trailing further into the room.

We shouted for the door, and the teacher just sat in a corner, her brown hair covering her face as she hugged her knees, cradling herself.

This morning was weird, but this is some scary sh*t.

I ran to the teacher looking for any keys in her pocket, and two other girls came to help.

"BREAK IT OPEN!" Someone shouted with fright.

I continued to search her pockets which seemed to be empty, I ran over to her desk which took up most of the space in the class.

I pushed her chair to the side, opening every drawer, and placing pens and pencils everywhere.

"BREAK IT" Another voice shouted, I could hear the teacher start to cry.

My fingers searched the drawer, the octopus' tentacle reaching deeper into the classroom, my hand immediately feeling a cold metal object.

"I GOT IT!" I ran up to the door, my hands trembling with fear as I unlocked the door.

I ran out the door, three tentacles shooting into the classroom faster than before, grabbing a boy by his leg, dragging him along and slowly retreating out of the classroom.

"Axton!" A blonde girl shouted, running towards the windows where the other bot was dragged out.

"AXTON!" she shouted again shrinking to the floor, an octopus tentacle reaching into the room again through the window.

"Look out!!" I shouted running running towards her and lifting her.

Dang, she's heavy.

I ran as fast as I could with the blonde girl in my arms, my classmates were already on the stairs.

I sped across the halls and down the stairs, trying to get somewhere safe, the girl in my arms crying louder and louder with each passing second.

I just started school today and things are already bad, it was worse than I imagined.

It was torture running through a school I had just started with a girl crying in my arms and a large octopus monster walking around the school.

I stopped for a second, taking my breath, the blonde girl in my arms finally looking up at me.

She was sniffling, and her eyes were red and puffy, her face pale.

"T-thank yo-u," she sniffed.

Her blue eyes looked at mine, even though she was just crying, she looked beautiful.

"No problem, but I'm kinda lost," I told her as she climbed out of my arms.

She smiled through all the tears and all the chaos, her eyes were empty, it was a half-hearted smile, but I still took it.

She took my hand and we started to run back in the direction I came from.

"You're the new kid right?" she asked as we ran. Her sniffle seemed to be gone.

"Yeah, just transferred here," I told her, trying not to rant.

"I'm Cressida," she said.

"Eamon" I stated as we suddenly came to a stop, she let go of my hand.

We stood on the pavement school grounds, there was nothing around, no buildings, no grass just us and the pavement on the ground.

No one else was running this was, just us, Cressida bent down a trapdoor at the fore of her shoes.

Knock Knock Silence Knock.

I looked intently at the wooden trapdoor, eager to know what would happen.

The hatchet opened inside-out, a face peeping through the trap door, the wooden trap door flinging open, and Cressida running inside and dragging me down with her.

I immediately fell into a large room, the room illuminated in a far corner, and a dart board hung up on the wall.

The room smelt of old milk, and there was a semi-circle-like chair in the middle of the room, a circular table in the middle of it.

"Who's he?" One of them finally spoke up, it was a tall girl, her skin was dark, her hair had strips of purple, and her eyes were chocolate brown.

"This is Eamon, let's just say he helped me." Cressida smiled at the girls.

"I don't think now is the time to care about who he is, we should be worrying about what the fu*k that was just now,"
