It would mean that he would have a target that was placed on his back and he would then have to be more careful and have to do more in order for him not to seem more suspicious and so that they wouldn't come for him once more.
This wasn't what he wanted. He wanted for tina and her father to have been locked up and for them to face the death penalty as it would have been done for anyone else that was in their situation.
Instead it was as though they were receiving the opposite and it was almost as though erven after everything that had happened there were those who sympathized with them and those that didn't blame them and even they didn't see it as their fault.
The people would have backed them no matter what happened and that was made clear even now.
"I can't believe this." Dick said out loud as he let out a sigh of frustration before he ran a hand through his hair.
Mary looked towards him in confusion as she wondered what was bothering him so much.
"What is it?" she asked him.
"How is it that tina got away. With it and all she is getting is probation. After she was the one who was responsible for killing all of those students and she was also the one who led to Mr. ken dying. On top all of that she blamed me for everything that had happened. She should be getting imprisoned and they should be sentencing her to death by now so why is it that they aren't doing that. Why aren't they taking the proper action that is required. And there is her father as well. He knew the truth and her didn't do anything about it. Instead he covered for his daughter and he even went on to blackmail a teacher into doing his bidding. He should be getting locked up for life but instead he is getting let go on a much lesser sentence. Why is that being allowed to happen." he said to her in frustration as he ran a hand through his hair and he began to pace the floors.
It was then that Ms. Mary understood where he was coming from but she was surprised that he hadn't seen it coming.
"I mean are you really surprised that they would find a way for them to be able to get away with his. They can get away with anything they want. This isn't the first time that they would have. Why do you think that Guderian has made it so far up and why do you think he has so much influence. It isn't because he did it the good way. He isn't a saint and the crimes he is guilty off aren't simply those of covering up for his daughter. He has had his own fair share of crimes in the past, but have you ever seen him get convicted for them. Have you ever seen him get arrested for anything." She asked him./
He thought over it for a moment before shaking his head.
He knew that she was right. And that Guderian had been practically untouchable. he knew that tina wasn't simply evil from nowhere and that she mut have had to have learnt it from somewhere.
The clear answer was that she had gotten it from her father.
He hadn't been punished for any of his crimes in the past and this was a first in fact.
"You are lucky that he is even getting punished at all. He is meant to have a clean record and I am sure that the only reason that he is being forced to go to prison at all is because of the fact that you made a public spectacle of it all. You gave them no choice and it was you who forced their hands." She explained to him.
"but that doesn't make it right. I thought that I would do this the right way that I would allow them to be dealt by the hands of the law that they would be able to serve them with the right punishment that they deserved but I was wrong because here they are. They aren't getting what they deserved and they get to continue living their lives." He said to her bitterly.
"well that is just how things are and that is how things have been for a long time. Their family had a lot of deep roots in the academy as well as the town as a whole. No one dare to touch them. Because if they tried to things would always end badly for the person that tried to do so. They are untouchable and that is how it has been for a long time. The law isn't on your side it is on their side and that means that whatever they do they can simply act like it didn't happen or even if they do get prosecuted the sentence isn't going to last long because no one is ever going to be able to get something to stick on them. Whatever happens they are going to find an excuse as to why they did it and find a way for them to weave themselves out of the situation." Sher explained to him.
He let out a sigh form his lips and he nodded his head at her in response.
He knew that she was right and he didn't know why he had thought that any of it would be in his favor at the beginning.
Things were never going to work out if he did them the easy way and reported the case.
The system weas unfair and there was no justice except for the one that you were able to get for yourself.
If he wanted things to work in his favor then he would have to be the one to do it himself and he would have to find a way to get his revenge on his own.
He couldn't rely on any one else because he had seen now that they were unreliable and they didn't care about delivering justice because the fact that was that the only way that you would be able to get things done was if you were to take matters into your own hands and you were to have thew situation handled on your own.
"And here I thought that I could have things fixed if I did it the right way. I guess that if I want to get things done it means that I will have to have things done myself." he said to her.
He was about to turn to leave when suddenly. She grabbed a hold of his arm.
He turned to look at her as he stared at her with a. look of confusion.
"What is it?" he asked her.
"I know what you are thinking and there is a part of you that wants to go and confront them and to get your revenge on them." She said to him and she watched as he gritted his teeth but didn't say anything against it.
