He wanted to make sure that he got what he deserved. He knew that he couldn't simply let them go and he knew that her had to be the one who would deal with them because he knew that the school wouldn't do it and the law wouldn't ensure that justice would be served.
And yet here she was trying to tell him that he shouldn't do that.
"What do you mean by you trying to tell me that I shouldn't go after them. That is the only thing that I should be doing. They have been allowed to get away with things for far too long and it is time that they finally face the consequences of their actions and they came to realize that they aren't going to always get what they want." He said to her.
His tone was slightly raised and he could see how her eyes widened as she took a step back away from him.
He let out a sigh as he ran a hand through his hair. "I am just trying to say that you have to be careful what you do right now because the fact is that they are going to be expecting you to make your move. They may not be certain that you are back in the city but thew moment that you try to do something then they will know that you are back for sure. They will be able to connect all of the dots and they will instantly know that you are the oner who is behind it all." She said to him.
He let out a sigh from his lips as he knew that her words were the truth but he decided not to voice them out loud.
If he were to act out and do something right now it would mean that he would have blown his chances of him being able to take them down himself in the future.
He had to be rational about it and he had to think it rthrough. He didn't have many more chances for him to be able to ensure that it worked and that he could secure their downfall.
"So you are saying that I should just do nothing." He asked her and he watched as she let out a sigh form her lips before shaking her head at him in response.
She shook her head at him as she spoke. "that isn't what I mean. I want you to get back at them just as much. I also want revenge. What I am saying is that you have to think about this properly. Any mis step on your part and they are going to come for you. I know that you want revenge but you have to think about yourself and how this would affect you. It isn't worth risking your own life just so that you can make sure that you are able to take them down." She chastised.
Dick was quiet as he knew that she was right. He had to think about himself in the situation and that was why he couldn't simply rush into it.
"Guderian might be locked away right now but he has men on the outside and they are going to be watching out for you and any sign that you are back in town they are ging to come out. Looking for you and they aren't going to stop until they are sure that they are able to take you down." She explained to him.
Dick was silent as he listened to her words intently. He didn't want to say anything against her but the fact was that he knew that her words were the truth.
"He will kill you if he is to catch wind of the fact that you are back and that you are alive. And I am sure that he will be able to. Connect the dots that you had something to do with everything that hasppebed. I am not saying that I am going to stop you from carrying out your revenge because it is d clear the fact that you can't rely on the school for the law in order to ensure that justice is truly served. If you want to get justice then it is something that you have to get on your own." She said to him.
He let out a sigh from his lips as he nodded his head at her in response. He knew that her concerns were right and he didn't want her to think that he was simply doing something reckless because he was out for blood.
However he knew that he couldn't simply sit around and do nothing about it either. He had to. Do something and he knew that he had to take proper action in order to ensure that he took them down and that this time when he did it, it would be for good.
"I understand that but I am not going to give up. I am going to do whatever it takes. I know that I have come way too far in order for me to back down now and I know that I have to take the proper action." He said to her and he watched as her nodded her head at first but she was quiet after a minute.
Although she did like his enthusiasm and she was glad to see just how passionate he was about everything and the fact that he wanted to ensure that he was able to see it through.
However she on the other hand didn't feel that way.
"I am not though." she said to him in a whisper and she knew that he wasn't going to be happy with her decision and. So because of that she turned her face away not wanting to meet his gaze.
"what do you mean that you are not." he asked her in s whisper as he did his best to ensure that he kept his tone calm.
"I an go0ing to leave the city I can't stay here." She said to him.
She watched as he gritted his teeth at her in response before he shook his head.
"You can't be serious. you are a step away from taking them down and I already assured you that I am going to make sure that they get what they deserve and that they are takin down." He said to her.
"'I. know that you said that and I do believe that you will go through with that but I can risk it." She said to him.
"so you are saying that you are just going to give up. You aren't going to stay. Back and fight. Weren't you the one who was encouraging me to go through with everything. You are the one who said that we had to take them down and you are the one who said that it was time that they were able to get a taste of their own medicine." He said to her.
"yes well that was how I used to feel and I can assure you that if I had a choice that would be how it still felt but I have to think about myself." She said to him.
