She wondered if this was the reason why she had invited in her coming over because she wanted something for her.
She knew that she shouldn't have been surprised by the fact after all they all wanted something.
But she had always projected the role of her being strong headed ad well as very opinionated and she would have thought that she wouldn't be coming to her if she needed something.
"But I mean he is tyour father. You are his daughter surely if there is someone that can talk to him and can convince him about this matter it is you." Ms. Mary said to her and tina couldn't help but hum at her in response as she nodded her head.
"that may be true that I am his daughter and that I am the one that he holds closest to him but the man doesn't listen to anyone but himself. He wouldn't listen to me if I suggested that he did a favor for you. Besides it would mean that the two of you would be starting off to a bad start." Tina said to her honestly.
She watched as Ms. Mary furrowed her brows before she asked her, "how is that so?"
"Well he doesn't like people that he seems to perceive as weak. And although he loves the thought of being below you and you having to go to him because you are desperate. He would want you to be able to stand on your own two feet and approach him with the matter rather than have me do it. I can assure you that he would help you. It may be a dept that you would later have to pay but I can assure you that he would love to have you owing him something." Tina said to her with a smirk and a twinkle in her eyes.
Ms. Mary gulped as she shook her head at her in response. "I don't think that I can do that." Ms. Mary muttered.
Tina looked towards her with a raised eyebrow. "Why not? I know that you are spineless but you can't be that useless. You have to stand your ground and do things on your own rather than you relying on someone else you help you get things done .I may have entertained you today but the chances are high that there won't be a next time and I won't always be here to listen to your musings." tina said to her with a warning tone in her voice.
Ms. Mary could sense that she was slipping away from her and she knew that she had to do something fast or else she would lose tina.
"I know that and I know that I am grateful that you were able to give me your time but the thing about your father is that I can't just talk to him." Ms. Mary said to her.
Tina shrugged her shoulders at her. "And why not? I guess you don't want the favor badly enough." Tina said to her.
Ms. Mary was quick to shake her head at her.
"No it really isn't that. It is just that your father is so much more powerful than me. I don't know how I would be able to talk to him. He is so powerful and overpowering that I would be too afraid to speak in his presence. That is why I came to you so that you could help me in order for metro be able to figure out a proper way for me to be able to talk to him." Ms. Mary said to her.
Tina hummed at her in response before she spoke up after a moment. "so let me get this straight you are wanting me to help you." Tina said to her.
Ms. Mary was quick to nod her head.
"well you are right and my father is very powerful and it would be bad if you ended up speaking to him and you managed to say the wrong thing. Or you didn't say anything at all. He hates it deeply when people dothat.so I guess I would understand why you would come to make for help first. But why come to me." She asked her.
"Well I know that you are powerful. I once would have thought that your power was low but I can see now that you also have quite a lot of influence yourself and I know that you are going to help me to get the hang of talking to someone with power that was greater than mine." Ms. Mary said to her.
Tina was quiet for a moment but Ms. Mary knew that her coaxing as well praising her was going to be something that tinea wouldn't be abelto resist. She knew that she would be intrigued by the prospect of helping her and that she wouldn't be able to stop herself.
"Well that is true I am pretty powerful and in every way more powerful than you are. But why should I help you out." Tina asked her.
Ms. Mary thought over it for a moment before she decided to speak up after a moment.
"Well I knows that you would like to be able to tell others that you are the reason why I was able to get to my station in the future and that you would be glad to brag about how you are the reason behind my success." Ms. Mary said to her.
Tina smirked slightly and Ms. Mary could see that she had truly grabbed her attention and in fact she had her exactly where she wanted her and all she would have to do now was to play her cards right.
"Excuse me for a moment while I go and get us some tea." Ms. Mary said to her.
Tina looked as though she was about to reject the offer but she watched as she shrugged her shoulders after a moment before giving her a nod.
Ms. Mary left the room soon after and she returned with two cups of coffee in her hand.
She placed the two of them down on the coffee table and tina noticed that they had already been prepared.
She found it slightly strange but she didn't speak about it at first.
"I thought that the two of us could share a cup of tea." Ms. Mary said to her as she raised the first cup in her hand before she offered it towards tina.
Tina thought that it was strange that the cup of coffee had already been prepared ahead of time and she couldn't help but narrow her eyes at the sight of it.
Her insides tingled with distrust and she knew that whenever she had a gut feeling about something that it was always best for her to trust that feeling.
"Well here you go." Ms. Mary said to her as she offered her the cup once more.
Tina was cautious but she gulped as she took the cup into her hand once more.
Ms. Mary couldn't help but smile at the sight and that didn't go unnoticed by Tina.
Just as she was about to place her lips against the glass she moved it away as she shook her head.
