Chapter 65 - Chapter 65 Negotiate

"Well that isn't my fault. I wasn't aware of the fact that there was a goblin horde that was coming our way and it isn't as though I could have predicted it. They aren't a supposed to be spotted this. Far north so you can't simply put that blame on me."

She said to him with a hissing sound.

He raised his hands up at her in surrender. "It isn't your fault I understand. You didn't know. But the fact is that you should have known. It was your job to take care of the children. they shouldn't have been out here taking care of themselves and so in an away you are partially to blame for what is happening."

He said to her as he pointed an accusing finger towards her. She gulped as she cast her head down slightly but didn't say anything at first.

"I understand that but don't you think that the students will become worried and feel as though something is going wrong when they see that we are switching places with one another." She asked him.

"Not as worried as they were when they. had to watch helplessly as their fellow student got raped. How do you think Tina feels right now. She believes that this is al your fault. She told me herself that she isn't entirely comfortable with having you around anymore and that she is relieved that I was able to get here in time to see her." He said to her.

That part had been a lie but he had to say whatever he could in order to get her to give up her position.

He knew that she would feel bad if she were to learn that Tina didn't feel comfortable around her and that she felt as though she couldn't trust her.

"Well I guess that in a sense you are right and that you are correct to some degree." She said to him in as mutter.

"Well yes and now think about what the parents will say. You wouldn't want them to learn that you left our students unattended to in order to go and hunt down wolves and that because of your own carelessness one of the students was left physically and emotionally scarred." He said to her and she found herself shaking her head at him in response.

He could see that he was getting to her from the way that her face fell slightly and he couldn't help but feel a smile come over his face at the sight as he came to learn that his idea to use guilt against her was coming to play and that it was working.

"And you see if parents are to start asking questions there will be no one to blame here but you."

He said to her and she looked towards the other teacher who was confused at first but he seemed to agree.

In a sense it was her fault and there was indeed no one that they could blame but her. "What do I do then?" Ms. Mary asked as she felt as though she was being backed up into a wall.

Ken smiled at her as he shrugged his shoulders at her in response. "Well it is smile really. All you have to do is to give up your position and allow me to be the one that will lead the students for the remained of the time being. We will keep the fact that you failed between us and you can return to school. Because the other option isn't as fun and I am not entirely sure if you would enjoy." Ken said to her.

Md Mary bit down on her lip as she stared between the two of them. "Well I guess that we don't have another choice in the matter. I guess that I will have to leave."

She said to them in a mutter and for a moment she was under the impression that they would try to stop her or that they would tell her that she could stay and that they would be able to find a way to figure it out.

Instead Ken nodded his head at her as he crossed his arms over his chest and a smile made its way onto his face.

"Yes we are sorry to have to so this but it seems as though this is the only way. This is what will be best for you and for the students. But there is one more thing. I think that it will be best that you keep what happened to Tina to yourself. We don't need to have others finding out about what happened." He said to her.

She furrowed her eyebrows as she looked towards him in confusion as she couldn't help but wonder what the reason was for him to say that.

"Well you see Tina is a girl and this is something that hurt her as a woman. I am sure that she wouldn't want the whole school to learn about the fact that she was raped.it would hurt her and it would also in turn hurt her ego and that is the last thing that she wants or needs at the moment." he said to her.

"I am still not so sure about this." Ms. Mary said in a hesitant tone.

Ken looked towards Tina who had a firm scowl on her face and he could almost feel her burning holes into his skin.

"You don't really have a choice unless you want me to go to the board and inform them about what is going on. You know that they will take your job from you without hesitation and you will most likely be put in the dungeons. But feel free to go and appeal to them." He said to her in a challenging tone.

She couldn't help but gulp as she shook her head at him in response. She was well aware of the fact that he was challenging her and essentially daring her to test him. But she wasn't about to take his bait.

Ms. Mary knew that if she went to the school she wouldn't be able to win because deep down she knew that it was her fault.

She had failed the students and she had betrayed her position as a teacher. "you are right. I will leave.": she said to him and she watched as Ken beamed at her.

Ms. Mary felt horrible as she turned towards the students who seemed to be oblivious to what was going on.

She cleared her throat to get their attention and she watched as they all turned towards her with raised eyebrows.

"I know that I am your teacher and I was supposed to be your leader but unfortunately I have failed you.." she said and she looked towards Tina specifically with a look of sympathy on her expression.

"Some more than others." Tina crossed her arms over her chest as she kept a passive expression on her face. She seemed to be unmoved by her speech.

"Well it has come to my attention now that I can no longer properly look over you and guide you ads your teacher and that is why I will be leaving."
