Elizabeth read through the system while nodding, pleased with what she saw on Elie's status information.
"Why is my baby's talent a question mark?" she asked, not out of anger but concern for Elie's mental health.
Ignoring that the system seemed to be hiding something, Elizabeth continued reading and stopped at 'title.'
"How does this system know that I'm the strongest? Not even those old-timers know about it." She was shocked and started guarding herself up.
Elie and Elize felt their mother's aura fluctuate a bit. "Mother, is there something wrong?" Elize asked, worried.
"Nothing, I just put a barrier around our castle. I'm just making sure nothing is watching us." Elize, who knew her mother the most, knew something was happening, but she couldn't pinpoint it.
Elizabeth cleared her throat and said, "So this is what you were talking about, baby. Don't worry, Mother will guide you, but you have to learn everything yourself."
Elie understood what her mother meant. Learning by yourself helps you grow to be a strong and independent person. Depending on someone every time limits your potential.
"All vampires have this passive ability but a weaker version. You should praise me," she said proudly.
Elize couldn't help but laugh inwardly at her mother's antics.
"Yes, thank you, Mother, for everything, especially for adopting me." He then went and hugged her.
"Silly, you are my baby. Of course, I would give everything to you, just ask. And stop calling yourself adopted. Remember what happened before your three months of sleep." She said while patting his back.
"Un, I remember." Elizabeth then started checking Elie's system again.
After a few more minutes of checking, she was finally done.
"Let's open your reward, baby," Elizabeth said.
Soon, ten chest boxes appeared in front of him. Elizabeth sent a bit of aura into the boxes, ensuring there was nothing harmful inside.
**DING** [Congratulations on obtaining 'Infinity Eyes'.]
[Infinity Eyes: Eyes that have limitless abilities. Their power is only limited by the user's imagination. With incredible creativity, the user can create endless possibilities. These eyes can grant powers such as enhanced vision, the ability to see through illusions, manipulate reality, and much more, limited only by the user's imagination and mental strength.]
Looking at the skill description, Elie and his mother and sister's eyes bulged out of their sockets. What kind of absurd eyes are these? Is this even allowed?
Elizabeth cast a barrier around their castle for real this time. She went all out, casting barrier after barrier.
"Let's continue," she said.
**DING** [Congratulations on obtaining 'Dimensional Travel.']
[Dimensional Travel: An ability that allows the user to teleport to any dimension the user has traveled to anytime and any day. It costs no mana to use and has no time limit. This ability also allows the user to bring others along and to transport objects between dimensions, offering nearly limitless travel possibilities.]
They were shocked again.
**DING** [Congratulations on obtaining 'Strongest Defense.']
[Strongest Defense: An ability to block any physical attacks for 5 seconds, even from gods themselves. This shield activates automatically when a fatal attack is detected and can only be used once every 24 hours, making the user virtually invulnerable for a short period.]
They were shocked again, especially Elizabeth, because she was a goddess herself.
**DING** [Congratulations on obtaining the 'Family Seal'.]
[Family Seal: It's not an ability but a reassurance. Those who have a family seal cannot betray the host. If they do, their cultivation will be erased. Once they accept the seal, they cannot leave and will be forever with the host even after death. Their body and soul belong only to the host. This seal can also enhance the user's bond with the sealed individuals, allowing for telepathic communication and shared strength in times of need.]
"Can this be used on us?" Elize asked. Elie was shocked as to why his big sister asked that. He then turned around and looked at his mother. She felt that her son was looking at her with a questioning gaze, wondering why her sister said that. She just smiled at him.
"Baby brother, cast this on us," Elize said with a serious tone. "Let's see if this is effective."
Elie looked at his sister, shocked. But as he gazed into her eyes, he could tell she was dead serious. Suddenly, a wave of happiness washed over him, causing him to smile extensively. He brought his hand up and hugged his sister tightly, feeling a warmth that he couldn't quite describe. Elizabeth, who was watching from the side, got up and hugged Elie too, sandwiching him in the middle.
The three of them held onto each other for several moments, feeling the warmth of their embrace. It was a moment of pure joy and happiness, a moment that they would remember for years to come. As they let go, Elie felt a sense of gratitude wash over him. He was grateful to have such a loving sister and mother.
"System, how do I use the Family Seal?" Elie asked.
**DING** [First, the Master will draw a rune on the person's chest right on the person's heart. Second, the Master needs to ask if she/he is willing to be part of your family for all eternity. Lastly, the Master will need to drop blood right where the rune is.]
Elie looked up at his mother with a sense of curiosity in his eyes and asked, "Mother, can you tell me what our family insignia is? I want to use it as a rune when casting it on someone dear to me in the future."
His mother smiled warmly at him and replied, "Of course, my dear. Our family insignia is a pair of intertwined bats encircling a blood-red moon with ancient runes inscribed around it."
Elize squeezed in some words, "Baby brother, in case you don't know, our family is the ruler of our race. Mother was the queen and also the progenitor of vampires, which means we are the royalty of vampires."
"I guessed as much considering Mother is the strongest being in the world." His eyes lit up with admiration toward his mother.
Seeing her son looking at her with admiration, Elizabeth couldn't help but ruffle his hair.
He decided that he would use the family insignia as a rune whenever he welcomed someone into their family. He knew that it would be a symbol of their unity, strength, and love for each other. He felt a deep connection to his family, and he knew that this was something he wanted to pass on to others. As he looked at his mother and sister, he felt grateful for the love and support they had always given him. He knew that they would always be there for him, no matter what.
"Mother, big sister, are you ready?" Elie asked, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness.
Elizabeth and Elize nodded in unison, their expressions serious but supportive. "We're ready, Elie," Elizabeth said softly.
Elie took a deep breath and focused on the task at hand. He visualized the family insignia and began to draw it on his mother's chest, right over her heart. The intricate design took shape under his careful hand, glowing with a soft, ethereal light.
"Mother, are you willing to be part of our family for all eternity?" Elie asked, his voice steady.
Elizabeth smiled warmly, her eyes filled with love. "Yes, Elie. I am willing."
Elie pricked his finger, letting a drop of his blood fall onto the glowing insignia. The light intensified, and Elizabeth's body seemed to resonate with the power of the seal.
Next, he repeated the process with Elize, drawing the same insignia over her heart. "Big sister, are you willing to be part of our family for all eternity?"
Elize's eyes sparkled with affection and determination. "Yes, baby brother. I am willing."
Another drop of blood fell, and the seal took hold, binding them together with an unbreakable bond.
As the process completed, Elie felt a surge of power and connection with his mother and sister. They could now communicate telepathically and share strength in times of need.
"Welcome to the family," Elie said with a smile, feeling the depth of their bond like never before.
Elizabeth and Elize embraced Elie, their hearts full of love and pride. They knew that, together, they could face any challenge that lay ahead.
