Chereads / Anomaly: The Vampire Prince / Chapter 7 - Weapon

Chapter 7 - Weapon

A few hours later, Elie finally opened his eyes slowly and saw two beautiful ladies sleeping beside him; visible tear stains on their cheeks indicated they had been crying.

Elie started replaying what had happened when he suddenly felt a headache and touched his head, feeling a little fuzzy.

"I don't want to experience that hell again," he grumbled, still traumatized.

Elizabeth, half asleep, heard someone whispering about her being a vampire. She could hear it and knew who it was.

Elie, who felt his mother's gaze, looked at her with an apologetic smile. He thought his mother had fallen asleep from worrying too much. Even though she was a God, her love for her children was unmatched. A small wound on their hand would cause her heart to ache.

In the past, when Elize was around five hundred years old, she had wanted to explore the universe. She got hurt with just a tiny slash on her hand by some enemy, and Elizabeth ensured that the entire world where the event happened was destroyed. Luckily, that world was irrelevant. If not, she would have been punished by those 12 beings.

So when Elie screamed like he was being devoured alive, she was heartbroken. She felt useless; what's the use of being the strongest when your child is in pain, and you can't do anything about it? It was a daytime nightmare for her.

Oblivious to his mother's thoughts, Elie couldn't help but sigh. He held her hand while wiping some of the tears from her eyes. He cupped her face and hugged her, letting his actions speak how sorry he was for worrying her. She didn't need to worry about him.

His sister, still lying beside him, was woken up due to the commotion. Elize had passed out from an exhausted heart; just like her mother, she, too, was heartbroken.

Sniff.

Hearing a sniff behind him, he looked at his sister, then hugged her.

After a few minutes of hugging, Elize looked at her brother with a shocked expression. Elizabeth, too, looked at Elie with curiosity. Feeling their gaze upon him, he couldn't help but ask, "Sister, mother, why are you two staring at me like that?"

"Your appearance changed again," Elize answered. She then made an ice mirror appear in front of Elie.

"Did I become more handsome and manly?" he said, looking at his face while touching every corner of his body.

In front of the ice mirror stood an ethereal beauty, a male vampire in his early twenties whose allure was nothing short of mesmerizing. His most striking feature was the raven-black hair that cascaded like a never-ending waterfall, flowing silkily down to his lower back, a mesmerizing curtain of darkness that seemed to defy the boundaries of time and space.

His porcelain complexion, as pale as the moonlight, accentuated the striking contrast of his dark tresses. Each strand of obsidian hair glistened with an otherworldly sheen, adding to the air of mystique that surrounded him. The vampiric pallor of his skin only served to enhance the enigmatic charm of his appearance as though he were a being not entirely of this world.

But it was his eyes that genuinely captured one's attention and held it captive. The amethyst orbs that gazed out from his alabaster face were deep and mysterious, like the heart of a night sky filled with distant galaxies. Their violet hue held a rare, ethereal quality, and within those depths lay untold secrets and a silent promise of both danger and allure. His gaze was like a magnetic force, drawing in the curious and the captivated, yet shrouded in an enigma that left one yearning to uncover the stories hidden behind those amethyst-colored eyes.

"Aren't I becoming more and more handsome every time," his thought leaked out, making his mother and sister look at him weirdly.

"Aren't you a narcissistic guy, baby brother?" Elize said, waking him up from admiring himself too much.

"Let's get this reward thing done already. You've already missed a lot of things, baby. We need to start your training after this," Elizabeth said seriously. Elie also agreed that just receiving a reward made it long enough to be called a 'reward collecting arc.'

"System, collect the last two remaining rewards."

DING* [Congratulations, Master, for obtaining the 'Morphic Aegis.']

[Morphic Aegis: The "Morphic Aegis" is a mystical, shape-shifting weapon with an ethereal, formless appearance. It can transform into any desired weapon or tool, adapts to elemental affinities, responds to telepathic commands, and is indestructible. Its origins are rooted in a legendary civilization with ties to celestial entities. This powerful weapon becomes a central element in the protagonist's journey, symbolizing adaptability and limitless potential.]

Reading the description, Elizabeth couldn't help but be shocked again. Seeing Celestial entities were involved, she couldn't help but get excited. She stayed quiet while pondering something profound.

"WHAAT!!" They shouted in unison.

Elize and Elizabeth were also shocked because of this weapon's abilities. Even Elize, who attended the Multiversal Academy, hadn't learned about this weapon. This means no one had ever heard or seen this weapon.

DING* [Congratulations, Master, for obtaining 'Celestial God Soul.']

[Celestial God Soul: The "Celestial God Soul" is a state of spiritual enlightenment where an individual's consciousness becomes deeply connected to the celestial forces governing the cosmos. This connection bestows profound wisdom, the ability to commune with Celestial beings, and the power to manipulate the very fabric of existence. It transcends mortal limitations, offering insights into destiny, time, and space.]

Elie winced as the transformation began, but this time, the pain was not as excruciating as before. His earlier experience with obtaining the Celestial God Body had prepared him, fortifying his resilience and reducing the intensity of the agony. Though the pain was still visible on his face, it didn't overwhelm him as it had previously.

Breathing heavily, he gritted his teeth and pushed through, his determination evident. Unlike before, he managed to remain conscious, his body enduring the transformation without succumbing to the torment.

Elizabeth and Elize watched him with a mixture of awe and concern. They could see the strain in his expression, but there was also a new strength there—a strength born from his previous ordeal.

Finally, the transformation completed, and Elie collapsed back onto the bed, panting. He glanced at his reflection again, noticing the subtle yet profound changes in his aura.

"Are you alright, Elie?" Elizabeth asked, her voice trembling slightly.

Elie nodded weakly, a small smile forming on his lips. "I'm fine, mother. It wasn't as bad as last time. The Celestial God Body must have helped reduce the pain."

Elize, still holding his hand, squeezed it gently. "You didn't pass out this time. You're getting stronger."

Elie chuckled softly, his amethyst eyes shimmering with newfound power. "Yeah, I guess I am. But that was still no walk in the park."

Elizabeth and Elize both smiled, relieved to see him in better shape.
