"Sir Carl, leave now," Asher commanded, his tone stern as he urged the owner to flee to safety while he handled the Pookas.
"No! They'll pursue me!" Carl retorted, using Asher as a human shield, aware that the Pookas would follow if he attempted to escape without a means to defend himself.
Though irritated by Carl's actions, Asher understood the man's fear, knowing he lacked combat skills.
"I'll draw their attention. Hide in the nearby trees," Asher suggested, intending to confront the Pookas directly.
"No! They'll kill me!" Carl protested, clutching Asher's shirt, preventing him from advancing.
Surprised by Carl's persistence, Asher warned, "Ignoring my instructions will lead us both to danger!"
