She stared at the wolf, puzzled, struggling to grasp its intentions. The creature blinked, its long lashes fluttering, as if trying to communicate. It seemed to be prompting her to do something, but she couldn't quite decipher its message.
"Should I close my eyes?" Annabelle eventually asked, observing the wolf's peculiar behaviour. It responded with a nod, heaving a sigh and rolling its eyes, as if relieved that she finally understood. Was she that frustrating?
With reluctance, she shut her eyes, sensing the wolf moving away from her.
Impatient, she inquired, "Can I open my eyes now?" However, the wolf responded with a growl, and she obediently remained silent, her curiosity giving way to caution.
The sounds of snapping bones, rustling leaves, and grunts reached her ears. But she continued to follow the wolf's instructions, assuming it was all part of some strange game, it was having fun.
