Hearing her name being called while she slept, she grumbled before answering reluctantly.
"Open your eyes, sleepy head, we need to leave," a feminine voice said, making her eyes flung open. It was a girl with chocolate hair and emerald eyes.
"Hi, my name is Emily, I'm Beta Luca's mate," she introduced herself, waving at Annabelle.
"The reason I'm here is to take you to the pack house, but before we leave, there are some few things you need to know about. The Pack house would be a dangerous place for you as a human, so you always need to keep a low profile. Try avoiding trouble at all costs so that it would also avoid you, and don't ever let anyone find out that you are the luna, understood?" Emily said in a rush.
"Okay…?" Annabelle replied slowly.
"Let us go, I'll tell you the rest when we reach the pack house."
Annabelle climbed out of the bed, and followed behind Emily who led the way within the quiet mansion.
On reaching the sitting room, unknown to her that Emily had stopped to bow at the Alpha, she continued moving, only to bump into her.
"I'm sorry," Annabelle apologized immediately, imitating Emily to bow, but then she realized she didn't even know who she was bowing to. Raising up her head, her eyes searched the sitting room, before she saw him. He was seated on a sofa, communicating with his phone, but almost immediately he turned to them, and she immediately averted her eyes to not meet him.
She prayed silently for Emily to straighten up so that she'll also do so, and luckily she did.
As they walked out of the mansion, she could still feel Alvin's gaze on her, and she subconsciously rubbed her nape.

Annabelle was stunned by the sight of the park house; it was as large as a community, and everywhere was as quiet as a graveyard.
They kept walking fast since it was already past one.
"Aren't we close yet?" Annabelle asked, already exhausted from walking for miles.
"We are almost there," Emily said as she continued walking towards the woods.
"Why are we trekking? Couldn't we use a car?" She complained further.
"We're trying to keep you disclose, so using a car would attract unnecessary attention. Please bear with us." Emily bowed after talking, and silence took over as they continued walking.
"Why are we in the woods?" she asked again, shivering in the cold.
"Because your house is in the woods."
"But why is my house in the woods?"
"I don't know," was Emily's simple response before stopping and staring at the gate in front of them.
Shoving the gate open, they walked through it before locking it and walking into the duplex which was surrounded by gardens filled with flowers.
"Wow!" they both exclaimed immediately they walked into the sitting room.
"This is paradise," Emily remarked as she sat on the couch.
"Indeed," Annabelle commented, feeling confused as she looked around.
"Let us go check out the rooms," Emily said, standing up from the couch and started walking to the room, with Annabell following behind her.
Their mouths slumped wide open at the sight of Annabelle's room.
"Omg, your room is wow," Emily exclaimed, her hands covering her mouth.
"You are so lucky to be the Alpha's mate," she said dreamily, hugging her.
"Lucky?" Annabelle asked with a scoff, making Emily pull out of the hug.
"Yes, girlie, you have no idea how so many ladies have wished and dreamt of being in your position as becoming the Luna of the blue sea pack. This is your chance."
"Then they should take it because I am not interested." Annabelle's reply was so boring as she threw the dress she was holding to the floor, while Emily's joy immediately died.
"Stop acting like a kid, Annabelle, this is a great opportunity, can't you see?" Emily asked, staring surprisingly at her.
"Thanks."
"For what?"
"Calling me by my real name and not the name I got here."
"Seriously, Annabelle, is that what we were talking about?"
"I like being called by my real name and not Luna, that's all," she said with a shrug.
"Annabelle, you should accept your fate and stop trying to fight back."
"What's wrong with all of you? I can't accept a fate of being the luna and mate to some fucking, stupid, cursed animals I know nothing about!" she said angrily.
"You haven't forgotten that I am also a werewolf, right?" Emily asked, and tears ran down her face.
Annabelle sighed in frustration. She was letting her frustration take the better of her and was hurting people. She wasn't the type that judged people anyhow.
"I am so sorry, Emily, but can't someone else be Luna? Someone like you," she said, feeling bad for speaking roughly about the werewolves because Emily was one of them.
"I have a mate, Annabelle, so you better accept your fate," Emily said, slowly getting up from Annabell's sofa.
"Everything for your school is prepared and kept in your room; if you need anything, I am in the other room," she said before walking out of the room.
"I am sorry," Annabelle tried apologizing as she followed behind Emily to her room.
"I said I am sorry, okay?" she said, holding her back.
Turning to look at Annabell when she was about opening the door to her room, she gasped as she saw the markings on her neck.
"What?" Annabelle asked as she looked behind, thinking Emily had seen something.
"You've been marked?" Emily asked with wide eyes.
"Oh… it's… I.." Annabelle stuttered, using her hair to cover her neck.
"I am so sorry," Emily said, staring at her sad face.
"For what?" she asked, not comfortable as Emily had seen the markings.
"You were forcefully marked," she said sadly, making Annabell quickly turn her face away from her.
"You should go prepare for school now, it's almost morning," Annabelle said without looking at her.
"Annabelle, this is good news," she squealed happily, receiving a deadly glare from Annabelle.
"But also bad news," she said quickly before Annabelle would kill her with her glare.
"The good news is that half of the bond has been completed and you'll soon become a Luna, but the bad news is that since you will be living in this paradise without your mate, you will pass through severe pains."
"How painful would it be?"
"Excruciatingly painful, Annabelle; werewolves also can't endure the pains, so I think it would be very difficult for humans to do so," she said with sympathy.
"I will manage it," Annabelle said, sitting on the floor.
"Annabelle, you can't. It is also very difficult for werewolves," Emily probed, giving her a sharp stare.
"Why not, why can't I manage it?!" Annabelle yelled, in frustration.
"Because you are going to die, Annabelle, you will fucking die if you want to manage it," Emily yelled back at her, tears already building in her eyes.
"I would prefer dying than staying with my so-called mate; I don't want a mate."
"Stop being stubborn, Annabelle, your life matters a lot. Just let me know immediately you start feeling any strange pains," Emily said before angrily walking into her room.
"What have I gotten myself into?" Annabelle thought as she wept on the floor.
She had regretted going into the woods to capture an animal with four feet for her take-home experiment because she ended up being the one captured by an animal.
And to worsen the situation, it wasn't an ordinary animal that had abducted her, but a freaking werewolf, a freaking half human half animal had abducted her and claimed to be his soul mate.
