"Are you sure you want it like this?" The Sage asked.
They were in the duke's castle dungeon, where criminals were kept. In one of the dark and cold cubicles, the young woman had the man's head in her lap, as she was watching him sleeping deeply.
"Yes," Violet answered firmly. "He won't let me do it if he was awake…"
Her eyes gloomed as she watched the thick chains bounding his legs and hands. He was treated as the worst sinner even though he did nothing wrong. She took the coat and covered him properly. She knew that he wouldn't catch the cold easily, but she was still feeling uneasy leaving him there alone.
"We don't have much time," the Sage urged her.
"I know," Violet put Cassiel's head on a small pillow and left the prison. The heavy iron bars closed behind her as made sure to lock it properly. She then handed the key to Ophelia standing next to the old man.
"Lia, I'm counting on you…"
