Casindra was sat across from her. Everything happened in slow motion. Though there was a table between them, the wine spill was still going to reach her.
So, Athena got up from her seat. The wine splashed across her plate and onto the ground below. Queen Catalina was shocked by her daughter's actions.
But there was no saving her now. King Orion's expression said it all. He slammed his hand down on the table, making everyone flinch.
Athena's heart was pounding in her chest. It looked like her training paid off. Her reflexes had improved, allowing her to dodge the wine.
When Casindra realized what she had done, she knew she was going to get into trouble. So, before King Orion could say or do anything to her, she started to cry.
"How could you say that to me?! If it wasn't for you, I would have been betrothed to Lord Darrion by now!" She cried.
