Chrona's expression softened, "Does that mean that you both aren't together?"
Larcen, Bull, and Ben could see the hope in his eyes. Larcen simply shook his head and once he did, Chrona got extremely friendly.
"Haha, my brother! Of course, you guys aren't together. After all, all the girls like guys who are tall, not the short ones like you. Hahahahah, I knew that she would only be mine."
Larcen's left eyebrow rose up in amusement and he smiled, "Well, I meant that I didn't need to put any effort to impress her."
Before Chrona could clearly understand what he had heard, Larcen took out his pistol and raised it above his head, aiming at the sky before pressing the trigger repeatedly.
The sound wasn't as much as he had expected and instead, he looked at Ben who laughed loudly before picking up the two doors and banged them repeatedly against each other. While the sound produced wasn't too much, it was still louder than Larcen's pistol.
They repeated the exercise for a while and only after a few minutes did they see a group of goblins run in their direction. Bull looked at his friends for a second before giving out orders.
"Chrona, you taunt them and Ben will continue making sounds. I will kick them towards Jack and he will take care of the kills. The three of us will switch once every few minutes when one of us gets tired."
Chorna and Ben nodded while Bull took position on the other side as Larcen took out his machete from his bag.
A few seconds passed and a goblin emerged from the gap. Once it did though, Bull kicked it with all his strength and the force was so high that the goblin flew past Larcen and hit the wall behind him.
Blood oozed out of his skull and its vision turned blurry but as it tried to turn around, it suddenly felt like the world was spinning before its vision went blank.
Larcen stared at the beheaded goblin for a second before getting back into position. Bull reduced the strength he put behind his kicks and things went smoothly for the next few hours while the three of them rotated positions.
While the three of them felt energetic due to their efficiency, Larcen's shoulders began to hurt after so many swings. He dropped the machete on the ground before taking out his pistol and looking at the others.
"Let's change plans. I will shoot them once they come out and one of you can pull them towards you. My shoulders are hurting so I don't want to use my machete."
"Sure sure, do as you wish. If I'm not wrong, we should have killed more than a hundred of them by now right?", Ben asked as he massaged his biceps.
Larcen nodded, "I've been counting so it's been like.... 147 goblins right now. While this is kind of boring, this is an extremely smart and safe way to get SP."
"Hah, we have to give the credit to fatty Bull. If not for his laziness, we would be fighting the goblins like the other teams. We might not be as efficient as them but this really is the most easy and safe method yet. Also, we can take a rest whenever we want and continue once we recover.", said Chrona as he stretched his body, making audible cracks as he did so.
"Alright, let's get back to it.", Larcen said as he got into position and checked his number below the skill chest at the same time.
'It was at ninety yesterday and now it's at a hundred and forty-six... I'll save it and open it once I get back to the room.'
The rhythmic sound of two doors clashing against each other sounded and soon, the killing began. Larcen wondered how the goblins could be dumb enough that they walked into the trap again and again even though they saw their comrades die right in front of their eyes.
Sun slowly reached its highest point before descending back into the horizon while the group continued to grind points like game addicts. They grinded SP for an hour after the sunset and decided to head back when the rate of goblin appearances decreased.
Larcen got on his bike and let out a long sigh. He made a lot of SP but the process was just so boring and that just made it all extremely exhausting to him, but the others seemed to be full of energy and were full of smiles.
"Time for distribution!", Chrona shouted happily while the other two grinned widely.
Larcen nodded, "Alright, I made around 150 so it should be 50 each."
Bull shook his head when he heard it, "Brother Jack, we will take forty each. I want you to keep the thirty for yourself or you can spend it on getting us some drinks. Ask your friend... what's his name again? Lambon?"
"Larcen....", he corrected him before nodding, "Sure, I'll ask him if he has some whisky or wine or something like that."
The three of them put their hands forward and Larcen did what he had to do and transferred forty SP to each of them before turning on the bike.
"One of you can get on. The other two will have to walk back.", he said but Ben shook his head.
"You go ahead Jack, we will come behind you slowly. Get the drinks and stuff ready for us okay? Maybe try inviting the others too if you can."
"Alright, see you guys in a few minutes then.", he said and drove off while opening his system screen.
'Some meat... let me get some beef, pork and chicken, whisky, wine, beer and let's see.... spices and vegetables. These should be good enough.', he thought as he simultaneously replicated all of them with 1 SP each, filling up eight of his inventory slots.
He believed that the others had some kind of stove or fireplace to cook food so he simply did not care about buying any kind of fuel.
'A decent meal huh... I hope it'll be fun. I really need to learn how to cook properly.'
