The air was saturated with the rich scent of aged paper and leather bindings, while reading tables and plush chairs were neatly aligned throughout the expansive hall. Every corner of the room contained rows of gigantic bookcases containing old and new books.
Olivia pulled the chair, causing the flat side of the chair's leg to make a screeching sound against the floor of the room. She looked around, lowering her head in apology, but no one seemed to mind her.
She sighed in relief as she seated herself, then adjusted the chair and her lower half under the table.
It was still quite early in the morning, so it was no surprise that there were not many people inside the library. However, the few people in the library were gossiping about her already.
A couple of girls hiding behind the shelves stared at Olivia, whispering inaudibly about Oliver and how 'sweet' they were a few minutes ago.
