Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

As the cold water landed on her face, Kaylee jolted out her unconsciousness, gasping heavily for breath while the water on her face dripped into her dress and got soaked.

Her heart could not stop thumping drastically in fear for a minute. She was terrified at the same time to be in the dimlight, strange, and damp basement at the moment her eyes went open.

After a while observing her surrounding, she noticed there were ten men present here who were on the other side and she wondered where the young lady who gave her a hard blow was.

"Ouch!" She groaned at the pain coming from the corner of her lips.

Kaylee moved her tongue on the place where the pain was coming from only for her to taste a warm blood of hers from the corner of her lips which had her lips burst probably because of the blow.

"Run, keep on running Kaylee until the end of the world." The feminine came from nowhere, reciting the words in a scary tone.

Kaylee swiftly raised her gaze in the direction where the voice came from when she the young lady. The young lady was walking towards her with a grim expression that lingered on the young lady's face.

The young lady was dressed in an expensive black leather jacket and trousers. Her short hair fell on the sides of her face, her ears were pierced into five holes adorned by earrings and her lips were painted red, giving her the appearance of a badass.

When the young lady came closer, she squatted down in front of Kaylee who was seated on the wooden chair.

The young lady had a relaxed facial expression with her jaw slightly clenched however it appeared dangerous. Studying the young lady's facial expression for a short while, Kaylee started babbling.

"You got the wrong idea, Willow. I wasn't running away, I was just doing some work out before I ran into you. The body needs to be exercise." She chuckled in humor.

Observing Willow's facial expression remained unmoved and looked more dangerous. Kaylee stopped chuckling and kept a serious face too. "No way I can run away from you with these short legs of mine." Kaylee raised her short legs at the last sentence.

After saying this, Kaylee could hear her heart beating faster in fear than earlier, knowing Willow Decker is a notorious young lady with a gangsters in New Brunswick.

"Kaylee, Kaylee." Willow called in a soft seducing tone as her lips curled into a coy smile while playing with the snap-off knife in her hand. "Do you think I'm in the situation to joke around with you?"

Kaylee lowered her gaze on the snap-off blade in Daniella's hands, praying to God in her heart not to be killed here without anyone knowing.

Willow looked down at Kaylee whose chest was heaving up and down. "It's been a year and yet you keep on running. You always disconnected my calls and never returned them. You seem to forget I can find you anywhere in New Brunswick, not only New Brunswick anywhere in the world. This is my territory, Kaylee."

"I Know about that. I'm sorry for disconnecting your calls and not returning them all this while, I didn't do them intentionally. Am working hard so I can pay your money back. We should settle things in a friendly way first since we have known each other for a long time and you shouldn't be this mean."

Willow raised a finger on her lips. "Shush…!" She brought down her index finger from her lips. "I don't like people who talk much about acquaintances."

"I-I'm sorry." Kaylee's voice trembled as her eyes were already wet. Her frightened heart was still beating rapidly. "Willow, trust me I'm going to pay back the loan I collected from you in three months. I couldn't pay in due time because things have been pretty hard these days for me."

"Do you expect me to trust you when you said two weeks over the phone and now requesting three months, Huh?" Her lips pursed, glaring at the latter. "I have been patient enough for giving you extra six months and since the six months are over, you should know that my patience has run out."

Kaylee wanted to convinced Willow but she could not dare utter a word, seeing the sharp knife in front of her which the young lady was playing leisurely with.

"It would be a shameful thing that no man would ever glance at your face when I leave a scar on it." Willow smiled mischievously at her.

Willow twisted her head to the side a bit signaling men to grab the scared lady. The men understood and moved to Kaylee as they grabbed her hand to the back, holding her in a tight grip.

Comprehending what was going to happen next, Kaylee pleaded in agony. "No! No! Please don't do it! This is bad! Please don't hurt my face!" She begged desperately.

Kaylee found herself defenseless, struggling on the chair, seeing the snap-off blade closer to her flawless face.

Willow played dumb ears to the pleading young lady while she raised the snap-off knife on Kaylee's face.

Kaylee felt the blade was slowly making a mockery pierce into her face which had her felt a slight pain. "No don't do this! Willow, I'm begging! I will pay off the debt! Please don't ruin my face! If you do, I'm dead!" Kaylee cried out loudly this time around as tears were dripping down her cheeks.

Willow smirked seeing how pathetic Kaylee was pleading to her. She stood up and gestured to her men as they let go of the helpless young lady's hands.

Looking at Kaylee who had her face hung down crying silently, Willow withdrew the snap-off blade, put it inside her trouser pocket, and then said.

"I won't let things slide next time if you think of disconnecting my calls. " Willow turned to one of her men. "Bring the papers!"

"Yes Boss!" The man answered and went to the table at the other side.

On the other side, Kaylee couldn't stop crying when she knew there was a slight cut left on her face.

Shortly the man returned with the paper and handed it over to Willow.

"Take this and sign here."

When Kaylee heard it, she raised her drained face and eyes at Willow. Looking at the heartless lady first before she brought her gaze to the paper that was written that was written in so many words.

"The collateral has been changed. Once your signature is written down your mother's local restaurant will be used as the new collateral. I bet you won't let anything bad to happen to it."

"Come on, Take this and sign it," Willow said, sounding impatient to Kaylee who was hesitant to take the paper from her.

Kaylee shook her head in disagreement. "No, I can't do this. I can't drag my mother into my mess."

"Alright. Then I will have to take Ellie."

Hearing this, Kaylee turned mute. The tears that had been hanging in Kaylee's corner of her eyes started to drip again.

"It's up to you to make a wise choice." Willow said with no slight trace of emotions on her face.

After their new collateral was settled, Willow ordered her men to bring Kaylee with them to a different strange and scary place.

When they got to the underground house, Kaylee could not stop scorching her eyes around this strange place in terror. However she tried to hide her fears while observing the musty dark house which had a bloody aura engulfing it.

"What is this place and why are we here?" Kaylee questioned with her gaze fixed on Willow.

"To play a game. You will be playing a game."

"So what game am I playing?"

"The Game of Luck." Willow answered abruptly.

"Game of luck." Kaylee muttered in confusion. "I shouldn't be here since we have finalized our agreement. I don't know what game of luck it is but I must leave here now. My daughter is waiting for me." Kaylee said angrily as she turned around to leave but Willow's men stood in her way.

"Willow what are you trying to do?" Kaylee sounded depressed at the ill treatment she had received today from everyone.

Willow was mute, staring at curious and scared Kaylee for a while before she finally said. "Don't ask so many questions and just get ready for the game which will commence in the next two minutes."

"Why!? What's wrong!? I don't want to partake in any game and even if I wanted, I have to be aware of what stupid game I am playing beforehand! I can't just play a sort of game blindly!" Kaylee yelled in a frustrated tone.

"Be watchful of your tone, Kaylee." Willow warned in stern expression. Kaylee kept quiet else she might not leave here alive if she eventually got Willow furious as she stayed calm and listened.

"You will get to know when the game commences. If you win, I will forget about the interest but if you lose then the interest would be double thrice." Willow said as she brought something out of her jacket pocket.

Kaylee watched the young lady unwrap the small thing stuffed it into her mouth and started chewing on the bubble gum.

"The game begins now."

Willow made her way into the room where the clattering voices was coming from as three of her men followed her and Kaylee followed behind while she prayed for the game to be a possible thing for her to win and get out of this hell place right away.
