The mirror starts to become foggy. At first, just a little, by the edges. Then, the fog starts to spread. They look like veins, white and grey, until they reach the center of the mirror. Then they make the mirror look like a diseased creature slowly coming to life.
"Watch carefully," Alp says.
"I don't see anything."
"Well, try to. The mirror is a medium. You have to look inside it."
I try as he instructs me to. His hands slithering under my shirt are not being very helpful. Neither is his breath on my skin. I try to release myself from his clasp, but as I do so his clasp becomes firmer.
"Stop moving so much," he scolds me.
"Well then let me go. You're hurting me," I whine.
"You need my touch to see through the mirror. You may have summoned her because of the sense of impending danger, but you will not be able to look into a mirror of time unless you have training, or somebody else to siphon power from."
