The first person Miley saw when she opened her eyes was Dexter. The man's face looked huge.
"Whoever passes the centre is a twit? Miley, do you feel comfortable lying on my body?" The man sounded annoyed.
Miley quickly got away and apologized, "I'm… I'm sorry!"
Only then, Dexter sat up. Just as he was about to lash out, he accidentally saw her body through her shirt's rolled-up sleeves. He quickly looked away as he blushed hard.
"Pig."
Immediately after speaking, he locked himself in the bathroom and started freshening himself up. Miley did not see Dexter out of breath as he looked into the mirror at himself.
This is impossible. Why would I be aroused by her…
Miley, on the other hand, just realized what Dexter saw. She shrieked in utter embarrassment.
"Ah!"
In the dining hall...
"Miley, What happened?"
Nellie asked Miley. She could feel that something was wrong with her.
Miley buried her face in her bowl. She did not dare raise her head and look at Dexter. She replied dully, "It's nothing, Grandma. I'm just still sleepy."
She simply ate a few mouthfuls, then excused herself after exchanging pleasantries. "Grandpa, I must hurry to work, or I'll be late!"
"Hey!"
"Why are you acting shy? It's not like I didn't see it before."
"Y-You!" Miley looked away when she felt her cheeks flush.
"Peter will send the gift again. Don't return it." He ordered as his eyes darkened and he looked at her coldly.
"I don't need your gifts. Just tell me the password of your card." Miley replied.
When she noticed Dexter's displeased look, she said, "I don't- can't recall the password."
"Then, Try to recall!"
As soon as he said this, he walked forward quickly.
"I told you...Is it your birthday?" she asked as she turned to catch up.
Without a word, he cast a cold glance at her as he quickened his pace again, and she caught up with him in a hurry. "Can you please walk more slowly? Don't you know that you have long legs?"
Miley got into Dexter's car. She curled herself up in a corner to distance herself from Dexter. Dexter started speeding so fast that the seatbelt tightened over Miley's body. It was painful, but Miley dared not voice out.

After work, Miley took her was wait for the elevator. Soon enough, the doors of the elevator opened with a chime when it arrived at the ground floor. Both of the women who stood inside and outside of the elevator were startled upon seeing each other.
Miley's countenance shifted into one of indifference when she ignored Helena and stepped out of the elevator. However, when she brushed past Helena, who was entering the elevator, the latter bumped her in the shoulder.
"What are you doing?!" Miley whipped around to observe the seemingly harmless woman.
"Can we talk?" Helena asked.
In Hope cafe...
Helena observed Miley, who quickly schooled her expression, with a smile on her dainty lips. Then, she took off her sunglasses slowly, placing them on the table in front of her. "Does this place look familiar to you?"
Miley takes a sip out of the lemonade in front of her with slight disdain.
Letting out a chuckle, Helena asked, "Do you still remember your promise to me when I left?"
Back when Nellie forced Helena to leave the City, Miley had met up with Helena to inform the latter that she would never stand between Dexter and her, nor would she marry Dexter during her absence. However, she relented when Nellie begged her, or rather, she broke her promise to Helena by marrying the man whom she also loved.
"What does it mean?" Miley raised her eyebrows. She couldn't understand any word coming from Helena.
"Miley, You are good at acting" Helena smiled. Although her smile was dainty, Miley couldn't help but feel a sense of dread when she saw that. "Do you know what is it that makes me hate you the most?" Helena asked.
The smile on her face melted away as she stared at Miley's dark and alluring eyes with a vicious glint. "Don't you even feel sorry for your parents? You used your late parents to get a man. You are disgusting....."
Before Helena could finish, she was given a loud, hard slap on the face. She wore an odd expression while observing Miley, whose chest was heaving due to anger.
All of a sudden, Helena's gaze became even weirder. After that, she snatched the glass of water in front of Miley to splash it on herself while Miley watched in bafflement. In the meantime, the weird look in her eye transformed into one of innocence and weakness.
As tears rolled down her cheeks, she retrieved a stack of photos from her bag before spreading them out on the table. Then, she began lamenting, "Miley, I know Dexter is your husband, but it's not what you think..."
