The undisturbed people of New York, in another one of their working days, wearing their usual office suites and fashion clothes went with their daily life in their urban landscape. The constant sounds of engines and horns swirl midst of this urban hustle in tune with people, like echoes of yesterday, move with no change.
A certain large digital screen flashed breaking news, getting the attention of passersby.
[Breaking News: Prisoner escaped from Supermax --- Name: Zephyr. Details:...]
[The ADX director has yet to release a statement.]
[Speculations say that the inmate...]
An image of a boy no older than twenty was spreading everywhere on the internet and the topic was soon brought to the masses' notice without delay.
The crowd around the screen swelled, particularly a group of students heading to college.
"Hey, isn't ADX...?" Chris asked, trying to recall.
"The most secure prison in the world? Also known as Supermax? Yeah. Until this Zephyr guy came along, it was," Robert explained.
"... Hmm, I feel like I've seen him somewhere."
"Forget about him. It's getting late, dude. Look at the time."
"Oh, sh*t."
As they hurried along, Robert noticed something unusual. There were more clouds in the sky than usual.
Robert couldn't pinpoint why, but it didn't sit right with him. There was something eerie about it.
"... The weather report didn't mention rain today..." he mumbled.
"Hmm? What are you talking about?" Chris asked.
Robert glanced at his friend and then shrugged it off. "Never mind. It's probably nothing."
Then it happened.
A small drop of blood fell from the sky.
Robert felt a cold sensation on his cheek, and when he tried to wipe it away, his fingers came away stained with crimson. He looked up, and to his horror, he saw millions of raindrops falling from the sky, all tainted with the color of blood.
The city was bathed in red as the bloody rain continued to pour. Panic swept through the streets as people screamed and cars crashed into each other due to the obscured vision.
Thump!
Something heavy fell from the sky.
It was organic, it had a hideous face and a screeching voice.
"Kiiii!"

[Director's Office]
"Do you understand the mess you've caused, Warden Tanya? I hope you have a damn good explanation for all of this," the Director demanded.
Tanya stood in silence, the weight of the situation pressing on her.
"The footage clearly shows you helped him escape?" The director said. "And there are many eyewitnesses."
Tanya finally spoke, her voice trembling. "No, sir. I witnessed him using magic. It was impossible to stop."
The Director scoffed, not believing her. "Don't feed me that nonsense, woman!"
Tanya's attempts to explain were futile. "But..."
"Just get out," he ordered, dismissing her.
Outside the office window, the blazing sun suddenly vanished from view, casting an ominous shadow across the entire prison complex.
The Director felt a strange unease in his heart. He stepped outside to investigate.
A colossal asteroid, unlike any he had ever seen, hurtled towards the state prison. Upon its surface, monstrous creatures akin to dragons, with reptilian appearances and scales, were swarming. Among them stood the smallest, yet most imposing of them all, the DragonKing Drakaroth, leading his army of draconic terror.
"Heh! We're finally allowed to Descent. " Drakaroth said.
A catastrophe was about to unfold.
But just then a message appears in front of Tanya.

In the dimly lit labyrinth of the sewer system, a wounded man walked with staggering steps. His ragged breaths echoed off the cold, damp walls as he stumbled along the narrow passages. The faint glow from distant manholes above provided the only source of light, casting eerie shadows around him.
It was Zephyr. And his real name was Kai.
His clothing was torn, and blood seeped from a gash on his arm, leaving a trail of blood behind him. The pain was visible on his face, and his injuries were unbearable. The stench of sewage and the echoing sounds of dripping water... He hated all that.
But he had no choice. He was a wanted criminal now.
He had taken refuge in the sewers, hoping that the complex network of tunnels would conceal his trail.
As he ran, the memories of how he ended up in this desperate situation flooded his mind. 'It's all because of him,' he thought, and he vowed to find a way out, to emerge from this nightmare and into the safety of the world above.
But Kai knew better, 'It's not safe above either. '
It was not freedom that awaited him on the other side. He had a vision of this day coming three years ago when he had heard the sounds of earthquakes and the dust falling from above.
"It's starting... The apocalypse is coming! I have to get out of here!"
Hell awaited him, and he had to find a way to survive it.
