Wednesday had already arrived and things were still a little off with Daniel, everyone tried their best to cheer him up, but he would just force a smile and act like nothing was wrong, but once he thought no one was looking the sadness took over again, and it was quite evident.
They all woke up Daniel by singing Happy Birthday to him. Lisa and Abigail prepared a big breakfast for him, and although he was feeling sad that his family forgot it was his birthday as well, at least he had those who cared for him celebrating with him.
"Danny… I don't think we should go over to Mom's lodge" Abigail said as she and Daniel washed the dishes.
"No, I want to go, I am tired of Mom treating me like I don't exist, I realized that I have people here who love me and celebrate me on my birthday, so I want to go and just get it over with… like a last goodbye to all of them," Daniel said with a small smile.
