Ui quickly followed me without even changing her clothes. Her attire was different, loose-fitting, consisting of a short pair of shorts and a long-sleeved shirt. Perhaps she was wearing that to sleep, and thinking about it, I remembered that my mother used to make me wear something similar at bedtime.
"Izumi, where are we going?"
"Wait, and you'll see."
"Alright," She said, attempting to grab my arms.
"Don't bother," I dodged her.
"You're so difficult," She muttered, pouting.
I continued my journey through. The black market was a dark and hidden place, a shady part of the city where illegal businesses thrived. The gateway to the black market was behind a small liquor store, an apparently ordinary door that led to a completely different world.
On my only previous visit, I witnessed a series of illegal activities happening there. The market was a meeting point for criminals, smugglers, and individuals with secrets to hide. Tension was always in the air, and negotiations were dangerous.
At that time, my identity was known to only a few. As I advanced down the path, I ended up eliminating several people, all convinced they were superior to me. Given the dark nature of the black market, most believed I was just an urban legend, an unfounded rumor.
As for the extras who crossed my path, it was predictable that they had no idea who they were dealing with. Many of them met their end without even realizing what had hit them.
Now, with Ui by my side, I wondered how she would react to this dark and dangerous environment.
"Hey, you there. Take me to the black market."
"Who are you?"
"Who am I?" I said, letting my murderous intent slip. "Does that answer your question?"
"You're Lord Izumi. I apologize for my insolence. Please, follow me."
Using my murderous intent proved effective against these unsuspecting people who didn't know me. As I employed it, everyone trembled in the face of my presence, a satisfying feeling. Then, we began following the extra.
"You're amazing, my love."
"What? What did you say?"
"My love."
"Never say that again."
"Of course, my love."
" …"
I desperately needed someone to get rid of this woman. However, I pondered on how I could approach this situation. Simply asking someone to eliminate her wouldn't be an easy task, as not just anyone could carry out such a drastic action.
With that in mind, I realized my next step would be to contact the most influential figure in the area, the only person capable of making this situation a reality.
"Hey, you."
"Yes, Lord Izumi."
"Take me to the most important person in this place."
"Certainly, Lord Izumi."
I didn't need to rely on just one person but rather a group of individuals with skills similar to hers. Haha! This will be exciting. Witnessing the triumph over this woman will be truly gratifying.
"Darling, where are we going?"
"…"
"Darling?"
"Yes."
It was incredibly annoying, a sensation that ate away at me deeply. I could barely contain my eagerness to find a way to rid myself of this weakness you represented, so blatantly obvious and painful.
Every second we spent together only increased my desire to get rid of you, and the prospect of it was simply delicious.
"We've arrived, Lord Izumi. The most important person is here."
"Alright, now disappear."
"Yes, Lord Izumi."
"Darling, isn't this a bit dangerous?"
I entered the establishment and was met with an intriguing scene: several people, both men and women, with expressions filled with hostility, fixed their gazes on me.
The bar was steeped in a tense atmosphere, as if the mere presence of a stranger could trigger some kind of imminent confrontation.
"Tell me, you lesser beings, who is the boss of this place?"
"And who the hell are you?" said a bald man, his face contorted in anger.
"Do you think I'm you?"
"Just tell us who you are!" The furious bald man tried to attack me, but I firmly grabbed his arm and squeezed it tightly.
"I am the one you fear the most in this city, the most powerful of all. Now, answer me, who are you?"
"Are you Izumi?" He stammered, clearly overcome by fear.
"Yes, and inform your boss that I'm here."
"Alright." As soon as he finished speaking, I kicked him like the rabid dog he was, making him fall to the ground with a groan of pain.
While the bald man backed away to call his boss, the rest of the group seemed unable to face me, except for a few individuals who maintained a fearless gaze. It was impressive. If it weren't for the mission that brought me here, I would have considered eliminating them all right then and there.
A moment later, a second bald man appeared with a confident expression, surveying the surroundings attentively. It was remarkable how many bald people were in that place, unusual for the city.
"I'm the boss here. What do you want?"
"Come closer."
"Of course."
"I want you to eliminate the woman who is by my side now, but be cautious; she is formidable." I whispered in his ear.
"Understood."
"Love, what are you saying?"
"Hm!"
When I looked at Ui, I noticed that she was visibly terrified. I began to wonder if she had heard what I had said. It seemed unlikely, as I had spoken in a low tone, unless her hearing was exceptionally sharp.
"How can you ask them to do that?" Tears began to well up in her eyes.
"You're insufferable. Fortunately, you'll die here."
"I meant nothing to you?"
"You never did."
Her eyes remained fixed on me, tears slowly streaking down her face. As I watched that expression of profound emotion, an involuntary smile formed on my lips. A feeling of contentment and triumph flooded my being as I witnessed her reaction, so visceral.
"Kill her."
A group of men, following orders from their leader, launched a coordinated attack against her. However, she remained passive, offering no resistance while repeatedly being the target of the attacks. It was evident that a profound sense of sadness enveloped her.
Regrettably, my natural enemy was destined to meet its end.
