Chapter 26 - Chapter 11.2 — Are You Alright, My Prince Charming?

As soon as I spoke, Ziro came out of Ui's pocket. Everything became clear instantly. Given that Ziro had the ability to fly, it made the situation possible, but the question that crossed my mind was whether they wouldn't be too heavy for him.

"How did you manage this?"

"So, it went like this, insect…"

Ziro told me the whole story. As we moved toward the next floor, he revealed that he had been following us and ended up falling under Saymon's control. He witnessed Ui falling and managed to save her in time. As for Idalme, she used a mini-parachute she had to save herself. I had never seen one of those before, but if she said she had it, it was plausible.

"I understand. So, that's what happened."

"What are we going to do with Mito?" Ui asked, with a concerned look.

"I kind of blew his head up. Sorry, Ui."

"Relax, you didn't have another choice."

Ziro approached the body and said:

"This insect is still alive."

"Really?" Ui asked, her joy evident in her tone.

"Yes."

It seemed like his head was on the verge of exploding due to direct contact with my blood. It was clear that he had directed all his energy to his head, probably as a desperate measure to avoid death.

"Max, can you do that thing?"

The situation seemed appropriate since he was completely immobile. However...

"Yes, but first, let's tie him up."

"Okay."

I asked Idalme to provide a sturdy rope, and together we securely tied Saymon, leaving only his head free. Idalme applied her healing ability, surprising me with her capacity to restore such a disfigured head.

I approached and touched Saymon's head with my index finger. What was the name of that operation again? Oh, now I remembered.

"Operation Brain Burst will commence."

"Okay."

"Yes."

"Insects."

I focused my explosion at the smallest size possible and realized that my control was better than before. Had pushing the limits of my body resulted in this? It seemed like I had genuinely become stronger.

'Izumi, I'm getting closer to you.'

My concentration was quick, taking no more than a minute, which was a considerable improvement over the past, where it would take about five minutes. Finally, I released the explosion directly into Saymon's head.

With this attack, I believed I had completely exterminated any demonic energy controlling Saymon's mind. However, I couldn't be entirely certain, and maybe it would be necessary to repeat the process once more.

"Done."

"But he hasn't woken up yet," Ui said.

"It'll take some time, but in the meantime, let's keep going. Izumi probably needs our help."

"Okay."

"The insect is strong. He won't lose."

"Yes. That monster is strong."

"Idalme."

"Sorry."

Getting Idalme to call him by his name would be a challenging task, but I was determined to make it happen.

"Let's go."

All of us shared a silent agreement and moved on, leaving Saymon behind. As we advanced, the sounds of explosions started filling the air. It was clear that an intense battle was taking place, and the possibility of Izumi facing the fearless was becoming more real.

"Let's run."

"Yes."

"Okay."

We ran towards a colossal door, about 10 meters high and 5 meters wide. It was hard not to think that the fearless could be a giant, even though the first time we saw him, he seemed like an ordinary middle-aged human.

The history said that the fearless were humans, but given the horrendous experiments he conducted with other humans, it didn't seem absurd to consider the possibility that he had modified his own body in a demonic way.

We kept moving forward and noticed various debris scattered about, with the ceiling completely destroyed, allowing sunlight to bathe the floor, creating a scene of destruction.

"What happened here?" Idalme asked.

"I don't know, but we'll find out soon."

"Everyone, come and see," Ui, who was ahead, said.

We approached a massive hole in the floor, which allowed us to glimpse the floor below. He started examining the room carefully, and at first glance, nothing stood out extraordinarily compared to the other floors. The only noticeable difference was the presence of a clock hanging above an empty throne.

The clock showed an irregular time. Considering the intense sun outside, he estimated that it was mid-afternoon. However, the clock precisely displayed 12 o'clock.

In my hometown, I had never seen a clock, but I had read about them in books. The technology to make clocks was unknown to us, making that object even more intriguing.

"Arrrrgggghhhhh!!!!!!"

That voice seemed to echo from above, and by the tone of agony, it appeared to be Izumi's. I couldn't be certain since I had never seen him scream in pain, but it was the only possible conclusion.

"Izumi!!!"

Even before I looked at the sky, Ui was already running and shouting intensely. Initially, I didn't notice anything remarkable in the sky, except for some clouds that were gradually obscuring the sun. I couldn't comprehend why she was so agitated and looking in that direction.

However, I soon noticed something breaking through the clouds. At first, I couldn't identify the figure, but it couldn't be anyone other than Izumi.

"Izumi!!!" I shouted.

I began a desperate run to save him, but he was too far away. Every passing second increased my certainty that he would fall to the ground and lose his life. I couldn't allow that to happen.

I ran desperately toward them, shouting his name with all my might. However, my hands still seemed out of reach due to the distance between us.

'Not Izumi, don't leave me alone.'

A deep feeling of sadness overwhelmed me, and I struggled to contain its intensity. The helplessness in the face of the impossibility of reaching Izumi consumed me. That's when I remembered that Ui was already running toward him.

"Please, Ui. Save Izumi!!"

"You don't need to say that!"

I continued running toward them while watching Izumi get dangerously close to the ground, fervently hoping that Ui could save him. And then, I witnessed a leap so incredible that the ground broke, and Ui caught Izumi in the air.

When they finally collapsed to the ground, I noticed Izumi glowing, a manifestation of her Iz abilities. Looking closely, I noticed a smile in her eyes, although at that moment I didn't question it. Izumi then looked at Ui in surprise. With joy, Ui asked:

"Are you alright, my prince charming?"
