Zira's eyes fluttered open,it was already morning, she had managed to find a place to sleep last night. It dawned on her that she was lost in the woods and needed to find her way home.Standing up and dusting her beautiful dress which had turned ragged and dirty overnight, her stomach let out a loud growl, hunger gnawed at her empty stomach as Zira looked around in search for food. Sighting one she flew and perched on the branch of an old tangerine tree, her small, white fluffy wings quivering with fatigue. Her breath was shallow, her tiny body trembling from exhaustion. She gazed at the golden-orange fruits hanging from the branches, their scent teasing her senses. With a resolute nod, she reached out and plucked a few, their weight surprisingly heavy in her delicate hands. Carefully balancing them, she prepared to fly down.
