Chapter 27 - The Village Defense - Boss Wave (end)

The robed goblin raised its hand, its body emanating a glowing aura.

It then transforms into light particles and moves onto the orc hero's body.

The orc, which had seemed lifeless moments before, was now alive, its hand gripping Circe and forcefully throwing her towards the ground.

Circe was spun in mid-air to mitigate the impact.

She landed deftly, her claws slashing through the ground to steady herself.

"Shit," she cursed, realizing the goblin is a healer.

Meanwhile, Faust, observing the scene through the camera, quickly assessed the situation.

He shifted his gaze to Aurelia and Nex, who were engaged in a fierce battle with the orc hero.

He then looked at the goblin. 'We need to kill it first.'

Faust then glanced at Leslie and Billy, who were still busy clearing out the remaining goblin mobs.

Faust picked up a small stone nearby and engulfed it with Agony.

He then shifted his focus back to the remaining goblins and took aim.

BANG! BANG!

His shots rang out, each one finding its target.

"Leslie, try to shoot at the goblin with the robe again," Faust called out.

Leslie nodded in response, steadying her breath as she lined up her rifle's sights on the goblin.

Meanwhile, another explosive shockwave tore through the battlefield as Aurelia's fist, with dark energy, collided with the orc hero's shield.

Nex seized the moment, jumped into the air, and thrust his spear toward the orc hero.

The orc dodged to the side and moved its attention back to the goblin as he felt danger in it.

He then prepared to throw its shield.

Swish!! BANG!!!

Faust fired a bullet as a decoy, concealing the true attack – a small, silent black projectile that he had flicked.

The projectile struck the orc's hand, causing his movement to slow down.

Seizing this opportunity, Nex dashed forward, thrusting his spear through the orc hero's chest.

At the same time, another shot from Leslie's rifle rang out, striking the goblin healer in the head and ending its life.

As the orc hero faltered, Aurelia advanced forward.

Reaching its face, she delivered a powerful punch.

CRACK! CRACK!

The orc hero's bones cracked under the assault.

Nex, with a firm grip on his spear, swung with all his might, decapitating the orc hero's green blood spurted out as its head fell to the ground.

Faust briefly glanced at the notification.

However, he quickly shifted his focus back.

His hands continued to fire at the remaining goblins, each shot taking one of them down.

...

At other places, Circe faced a new challenge.

The orc, now slightly reduced in size, abandoned its shield, wielding only its broadsword, making it more agile and quick.

The orc hero swung its blade in a wide arc, which Circe narrowly dodged.

She swiftly retaliated, aiming for the gaps in the orc's armor, but her enemy was quick to react, leaping back just in time.

The clash of metal rang out as Circe's claw scraped across the orc's chest armor, leaving a visible mark.

Panting heavily, her body slick with sweat, 'I need to focus my attack.'

Circe leaped forward, ducking under the orc hero's sword, slicing through strands of her long black hair.

She quickly retaliated, clawing at the orc's back, her strikes growing more forceful and precise with each hit.

She was carving deeper marks into the orc, dismantling its armor step by step.

She continued to tear away chunks of the orc's armor.

Finally, her persistence paid off – a patch of the orc hero's green skin became visible through the gaps in the battered armor.

Seizing the opportunity, Circe dashed forward, her claws aimed at the exposed flesh.

Her sharp claws penetrated the orc's skin, causing green blood to gush from the wound.

"Circe, dodge!" a voice from behind.

Asura launched a fireball at the Orc Hero.

The fireball exploded upon impact, scorching the orc's bleeding wound and cauterizing it, effectively stopping the bleeding.

Circe internally cursed. 'This idiot... just swooping in to steal my point and even healing the orc in the process...'

Despite her annoyance, Circe didn't lose focus.

She leaped forward, aiming for the gap in the orc's armor that she had created.

Her claws transformed, concentrating their sharpness into a single finger, making it long like a spear.

With precision, she stabbed through the gap, angling her strike to reach for the orc hero's heart.

Circe relentlessly stabbed the Orc Hero multiple times.

However, the Orc Hero, not going down, spins its body and slashes at Circe.

TWANG! TWANG!

A flurry of bolts rained down upon the Orc Hero, each striking its armor with a resounding clank.

Skillfully dodging the Orc Hero's sweeping blows, Circe felt a surge of frustration.

'My point, My Exp… All of you thief, just wait!' she thought bitterly.

Her frustration only grew as another fireball from Asura soared through the air, joining the continuous barrage of bolts.

Circe's heart ached with every hit the Orc Hero got, knowing that her rewards were dwindling with each strike.

Finally, the Orc Hero collapsed to the ground, lifeless.

As Circe looked at the notification, she noticed Asura and his group approaching her location.

Moving swiftly, she dashed forward and picked up the back armor plate of the Orc Hero.

With a quick motion, she slid her claw inside, extracting the crystal from its heart and slipping it into her pocket.

She then continued to pick the armor apart.

Asura stood beside Circe, watching her work on the Orc Hero's armor. "What are you doing?"

Not breaking her focus, Circe replied, "I want his armor."

Her hands continued to move, detaching pieces of the armor.

"Don't worry about that. You'll get your share," Asura assured her with a dismissive wave of his hand.

"Let the others tear it apart."

Circe glanced up at him, a playful smile on her lips.

"And how can you be sure no one will pocket any of it?"

Asura smirked confidently, "We'll make sure to check everyone thoroughly."

"If we find someone stealing, we'll simply kill them. That should stop anyone else from trying their luck."
