"Stay behind me. I'll deal with them. Wait for a good time to attack." Halvor uttered, stepping forward.
Drakar smirked, "Hah, how are you going to do that? Alone against a hundred enemies? You overestimate your strength!"
Halvor narrowed his eyes, "Hey, you're a Creator, aren't you?"
"So what?" Drakar frowned, naturally amplifying his aura.
"You're an experienced mage, that's immediately obvious, so you should know one simple truth - the worst thing that can happen to a Creator is to be in a closed room with an Amplifier!"
At the same moment, Halvor's muscles tensed to the max, he seemed to double in size and his veins swelled, practically bursting.
Then, his Warp spun at breakneck speed, filling his entire body with mana and streaming toward the Tantum.
In Halvor's trembling hand, a blob of red essence appeared, looking simultaneously like mist and scarlet flame.
Drakar's pupils narrowed as he immediately set his Warp in motion. Seven blood clots appeared beside him, quickly transforming into spikes and raining down on Halvor.
However, it was already too late...
Halvor pointed his palm towards his chest, absorbing the scarlet essence. His muscles tightened sharply, becoming even smaller in size than usual as steam began to emanate from his body nonstop.
Whoooooooooooosh.
In no time, Halvor found himself next to the two black monsters, cleaving them with his massive axe.
A torrent of wind rushed from his movements as the slashed bodies of the monsters reached the ground, pouring blood all around.
"Evan, Klaus, we only have one minute! My body can't take much more! Do your best!" Halvor exclaimed, taking a step forward.
The moment his foot touched the ground, he appeared among the five parasite guards.
Lana blinked and Halvor disappeared, leaving behind burned corpses, charred as if they had been in the center of a massive bonfire.
"Bastard... Everyone, attack the others! That mountain of muscle I'll take on!" Drakar exclaimed, heading towards Halvor while dozens of monsters rushed forward, passing Halvor.
True, it was difficult for a Creator to fight against an Amplifier under these conditions, as each class had its own advantages and weaknesses.
If the battle was in an open forest or a battlefield where Halvor and Drakar were generals with their armies, Drakar would surely win.
Creators had more massive attacks suitable for taking out multiple targets, while Amplifiers were a real threat in 1 vs 1 battle, in arenas, or enclosed spaces.
If not for Halvor's sudden increase in power, which threatened to wipe out the parasites completely, Drakar would never have fought an Amplifier in such a situation.
'Shit... This isn't good, but all I need to do is hold out for one minute!' Drakar internally exclaimed, facing Halvor.
Halvor like flaming death, brought his axe in for an attack, cleaving the air in its path. All Drakar had time to do was create two blood barriers, putting his hands out in front of him.
The blood barriers tried to absorb and deflect Halvor's attack, but the pressure was too great, so... the barriers cracked, shattering and exploding.
The impact, threw Drakar aside, however, Halvor wasn't going to give him even a moment's respite, since he was already behind him, leaving a fiery trail of his feet on the ground.
'What...? Why the fuck is a mere hunter so strong!? Drakar inwardly exclaimed before Halvor's fist plunged into his face.
A stream of blood rushed from Drakar's nose as it landed amongst the chunks of flesh from the shattered capsules.
Step. Step. Step.
Halvor was approaching Drakar with the sole intention of killing. Perhaps Halvor was indeed kind, but he had been through enough things in this life to have the confidence to kill when needed.
"RRRRRRRGGHHHHHH!!!" The two parasites appeared in front of Lana and Ruby, pointing their broad paws towards them.
Two sharp claws reached Lana's face, her pupils narrowed, and she clamped down - all she could do while consumed by fear.
"Pfffft, how silly." A carefree voice rang out as the sharp blade passed through the monsters' necks.
Lana opened her eyes, only to see Klaus covered in blood and his scornful gaze.
"Did you really think that if you closed your eyes the monsters would disappear? This isn't a nightmare, this is reality." Klaus uttered before returning to the fight.
Lana clenched her fists in anger.
'Fucking commoner! You're still a nobody! No, even if you were able to kill two monsters, he's definitely useless!' Lana internally exclaimed, turning around to the side.
However, instead of seeing Evan running away or being beaten up, she witnessed a completely different scene.
Evan was walking among the ice, holding his broad sword with blood dripping from its blade. He limped slightly, his shoulder was wounded, and a few scratches covered his face, but his warrior's stare seemed unwavering.
In the end, due to his sword ability, he had killed more than ten parasites, but there was still a major problem ahead: the black monsters.
"Agh... Shit... Halvor wins, but it's not enough..." Evan muttered while looking at several black monsters.
Many of them hadn't attacked them yet as they were too worried about the main larva, making sure that Halvor's random attacks wouldn't hurt it.
Halvor seemed to have realized this as well, so instead of attacking further Drakar he found himself standing next to all the black monsters.
"Everyone, get down on the ground!" Halvor exclaimed as time ran out and a flaming orb appeared in front of his chest.
In three seconds, everyone was pressed to the ground when the orb exploded, unleashing its full power outward.
All the monsters around were turned to ash and even the main larva was threatened, the fire wasn't going to spare anyone.
"Fuck!" Drakar shouted, pulling the ring off his hand and throwing it forward.
The blue stone in the ring shone brightly, creating a thick wall of ice in front of the main larva, taking on a torrent of flame.
"Agh... Agh... Agh..." Halvor breathed heavily, looking at the corpses around him. His body had returned to normal, the steam had stopped coming out, yet he was at his limit.
"Just a little more... A few more attacks..." Halvor muttered, turning back to Drakar, who stood in the distance with a haughty look.
Drakar slowly pointed his hand forward, showing his second ring, a crimson one with runes.
"Not bad, but you should have spent that attack on me instead of those useless critters." Drakar said nonchalantly as the runes on the ring shone brightly.
At the same moment, dozens of dark chains emerged from the ring, heading towards each of them.
Before Halvor could realize it, the sharp end of the chain pierced his shoulder and leg, shackling him to the wall.
Klaus managed to dodge, unlike Ruby and Lana. They were felled by a direct hit from the blunt end that practically knocked them out.
"RUN!!!!"
Hana screamed, revealing her cursed eye. Red light fell on the chains, making them shake slightly, but soon enough they reached Hana.
Crackle.
A sharp tip slammed into the wall right next to Klaus, but before he could get excited, the blunt end flew from the other side into his temple, causing him to fall. He remained conscious, but everything in front of him blurred.
The only one to survive was Evan.
Several chains wrapped around his sword, which he held out in front of him like a tower shield while several chains fell because of Hana's eye.
"Damn... If it wasn't for Hana I'd be finished, but what to do now?" Evan muttered, looking at the grinning Drakar, who was clearly confident of his victory.
Now, the only one left was him, First Circle Creator, against a commoner who wasn't even a Knight.
'Heh, let's see what you can do, weird one...' Drakar chuckled inwardly.
