The academy offered multiple entrances and exits, and she chose an inconspicuous one located behind the gymnasium.
Once safely outside the confines of the school, Lucienna made her way to a nearby mall, where she disposed of the items she had used during her investigation.
However, one crucial piece of evidence remained firmly in her possession, and that is the fur of a large feline, which she carefully wrapped in a clear plastic container.
As she held the container in her hands, her mind raced with questions and prospects.
The mystery of the murder at her school had only deepened, and Lucienna was determined to uncover the truth, even if it meant delving into the world of secrets and danger that seemed to lurk around every corner.
"I should eat well tonight!" she sighed.
Lucienna decided to grab a quick dinner before heading home. She needed nourishment to fuel her body and mind for the previous challenges.
As she savored her meal, her thoughts continually circled back to the mysterious murder and the strange actions of those who had arrived at the crime scene.
'Should I tell my family about this new group? But then, they would be suspicious of me. I will have another punishment by then because I tried to investigate alone! And even more so because I met people I shouldn't have seen.'
Lucienna couldn't help but wonder whether the answers to her queries were concealed inside the dark corners of her school's hallways, given the dramatic contrast between the busy mall and the mournful atmosphere of the academy.
With her hunger satisfied, she ventured back to her luxurious car, ready to make the journey home. 'I feel full of strength right now!'
The evening sky had darkened, and the city's lights painted a vibrant ambiance against the night.
Lucienna felt a sense of both excitement and nervousness as she turned the key in the ignition, her mind racing with thoughts of the secret investigation she was going to conduct.
'I can go to the laboratory to test the samples from the little kitten who left some hair in my room and the ones I collected from the crime scene.'
'Who said my family is the only supernaturals living in the city? I believe villains are unique by nature. And some of them can't be called humans at all.'
The drive home was uneventful until she neared her home, where an unexpected sight brought her car to an abrupt halt.
On the side of the road, she spotted the class president, a familiar figure but one who appeared to be in dire straits. He was injured, and it was evident that he needed immediate assistance.
'Why is he here?' Lucienna parked the car correctly, with its light shining brightly on Thanatos.
Without hesitation, Lucienna rushed to his side, her medical instincts taking over. "Are you alright?" she asked urgently, her voice laced with concern.
She scanned his injuries and quickly assessed the situation, ready to provide aid to the young man who had once caught her heart.
"Thanatos?"
"Can you hear me?"
"You need to go back with me."
A torrent of questions swirled in her mind as she waited for his response. 'What had happened to him?' she thought.
But the only response she got from the young man was, "You're here."
Thanatos passed out, and Lucienna was ready to catch him. Without wasting time, she carried Thanatos to her back seat. She hurriedly checked for his injuries and applied first aid.
'Thankfully, I have a kit in the car's trunk!'
She drove home and used the hidden door leading directly to her room. "I don't know where you live, but let's make do with this arrangement."
'Who would have thought I'd see him on the streets tonight? I remembered seeing him getting out of class early this afternoon. He did not even visit the homeroom teacher to give updates like usual. And here I thought he was busy.'
Lucienna slowly recalled what she observed during class, 'He was also silent the whole morning. And he rode a different car this time, and there was no Airi to sit with him during breaks.'
'I still can't believe he's here with me.'
The night had taken an unexpected turn, and Lucienna found herself taking care of Thanatos, a person she had always fantasized about sharing her space with, but he was unreachable.
As she glanced at the young man on her bed, her medical instincts kicked in, and she knew her first priority was to ensure his condition was stable.
'I hope his wounds won't get inflamed tonight. There are a few large cuts on his back and on his arms. He must have been fighting with someone.'
'But I could still easily determine that these wounds came from an animal's attack.'
'Oh, no! Was it related to the current murder?'
'Did he encounter the culprit?'
'The culprit must be roaming around the city!'
'I hope he's not one of the victims...' Lucienna decided to provide Thanatos with a change of clothes, considering his state of disarray. She moved to her closet and chose some clothes.
'Come on, think of it as dressing a patient in the hospital.'
Then, she deliberately blindfolded herself to respect his privacy as she deftly undressed him. Her movements were deliberate, guided solely by her sense of touch and smell.
'These muscles aren't for nothing! He must have worked out.'
'Oh... and this mermaid line.'
'Wait, why am I thinking of green things all this time? I should focus on dressing him properly. He can't catch a cold by staying naked.'
Once Thanatos was undressed, she meticulously cleaned his body with a wet towel, relying on her heightened sense of smell to ensure thorough cleanliness.
She then selected a pair of oversized clothes from her closet, carefully dressing him in fresh and comfortable attire.
'Even if I'm not actually touching it, the heat from rubbing his skin on mine...'
'Damn it! Stop lusting on an unconscious person!'
'You're a girl!'
'A girl!'
As she worked, Lucienna couldn't help but ponder the circumstances that had led to this unforeseen moment. Her thoughts were filled with questions and a growing sense of curiosity about the young man in her care.
'We've been classmates since he transferred to my school. But we were nowhere close to greeting each other as friends. He even likes to be alone or spend time with Airi.'
Once her task was completed, she hurriedly thought about cleaning the room, ensuring there were no lingering traces of the medical aid she had just performed.
'If Mom knew that I am a ghost doctor, she would hate me even more because working in a hospital is not a job she wished for me to take. How much more if someone cleans my room and sees the mess.'
