The wind blows with a calm solitude. The sun was up and Basking hot as usual, chatters of children playing around nearby. The atmosphere carries a sense of recovering from tragedy.
What looked like a hall, 11 year old Yami yoshita along with his friends and other children were gathered and sat as they listened with exclamation a tale from an old geezer.
A place where the sun never sets where night time was never experienced was believed to be a world paradise for the survivors of the present humanity. To go to that place was the only hope for humans survival, where some mustered up the courage to depart, most never had courage to.
The children believed about the existence of world paradise and hoped one day they would make it there. But reality was harsh.
"The sun is as hot as ever, don't you think jigoro?" A lady in her mid 20s said as she turned to her husband. "If only it would forever stay as it is, everyone would be happy hina" Jigoro replied looking upset.
Shortly after the tale, parents came to pick up their kids. " Yami come on now, let's go home before it gets dark " Hina called out to her child. Running towards his mom he replied "Okay, mom" as he turns towards his friends with a wave seeing them.
Getting home Yami curiosity triggered him to ask " Mom why can't we just go to world paradise?, The old geezer said he's been there" Hina chuckles as she said "Looks like old man nobizo has come rubbing off on you kids again, you don't believe he's really been to world paradise do you?" Yami looked down putting a frown on his face "Why do we have to hide ourselves before sunset, why are we scared of nightime?, The old geezer said, Years ago The world was free and peaceful and they were alot of technology and fun stuffs, our freedom was never restricted to night, Why now mom" Hina looking upset as she spoke the truth "I don't really know Yami, But our Ancestors told us that...." Jigoro interrupted "Stop Hina, it's to early for him" as he lean towards his son and puts his hands on his shoulders continued " Yami , you are smart and you know what always happens after sunset, There's nothing we can do but live with it, Besides we get to enjoy 15 hours of daytime you know " Jigoro smiles. Yami replied with a voice tainted in with anger "Dad i am smart, and not to brag, but my wisdom tells me your smile is fake, Why are you acting happy living like livestock?, I don't get it" Jigoro replied " I told you there's nothing we can do about it so live with it, or do you want our daytime to be taken as well?, By those night living creatures ?"
