When Elraine heard Bjorn's voice echo into the forest she was very excited. The boy she had fallen for was finally done with his journey and she could reunite with him. She immediatly start throwing all of her clothes into her spatial artifact. She was moving so fast that by the time she was done she had packed everything in her room including her bed.
When she saw her empty room she suddenly felt her chest tighten. 'I know I heard him say to follow him home, but what if he didn't mean as his wife. What if he wants me there just to tease me. What if his message was for another Elraine in the elven kingdom?' Like this Elraine let her mind spin out of control for almost three days.
On the third day it hit her. She should just call his best friend Baldir and see what she should do. She knows Baldir is loyal to Bjorn with his whole heart and he wont ever try to steer her in the wrong direction. She would call his other friends but there are multiple problems with calling anyone besides Baldir. First being Boros doesn't even keep his phone on him and probably forgot it at home. Rufus is just to serious and doesn't understand her heart. And then there is Sterling, Elraine hates Sterling with a passion for something he did in the past.
Pulling her thoughts away from the others she pulls her phone out and to find the contact information for Baldir. With a quick tap of her finger she initiated a video call with him.
*Beepbeepbeep*
After a few seconds the call was connected bringing into view of Bjorn's best friend Baldir.
"Hey there Elraine what has got you calling me I thought you'd already be at Bjorn's home trying to move in." Baldir greeted and started the conversation with a cheeky line.
"Baldir, you know I would love to live with him, but please don't joke around. I called for a very serious matter." Elraine complained at Baldir for teasing her.
"Ok fine fine," he said while raising his hand in a gesture of surrender. "I wont tease anymore now tell me whats wrong."
"Oh Baldir! It is horrible what if Bjorn doesn't want me to come up there. I mean I heard his voice but what if he was calling a different Elraine who knows how many different girls out there have the same name as me." As she finished her tirade her chest was heaving from speaking so fast and working herself up over what is pretty much nothing.
Baldir for his part was completely calm like he has had to deal with the elf more then once.
"Elraine listen to me closely. You are the only Elraine that lives in your region, and of course when he called out it was for you to hear. Stop worrying and just go and see him already. I doubt that you want us to get there before you and take up all his time." Baldir spoke so calmly that it almost seemed rehearsed, because it was. Elraine has a problem of over thinking everything about Bjorn no matter what and ends up calling Baldir to get get courage up.
"But Bal-"
"No buts Elraine just go to him in a couple days. That will give you a few extra days with him until we get there." Baldir interrupted Elraine and spoke sternly to her like he was speaking to a child but it seemed to work.
"Ok, I will...thanks for answering as always." Elraine said meekly before disconnecting the call and falling back where her mattress had been place on the ground in her room.
Taking a deep breath she got up and put her mattress back in storage before she moved out of her room. Walking through the palace she came upon a sealed door with dozens of guards. Without slowing down she headed straight at the door and the guards parted to the sides in complete sync with each step Elraine took.
Getting to the door she pushed it open after sending some of her mana through the identification plate on the door. Inside seemed like a higher plane with the purity of mana in the area. There babbling brooks on either side of the area. Exotic and beautiful flowers were all over the walk way leading up to the grand and giant World Tree.
She approached the tree swiftly and lightly placed her hand on it. Slowly her mouth started moving but no sound came out. She would pause sometimes like she was listening and other times she would respond in the same way as before.
Before long a giant tree branch reached down from the canopy and stretched in front of her. As Elraine watched the branch it slowly opened the leaves to reveal a glowing golden seed. Slowly and reverently she took the seed and put it between her bosom.
She left the area and went to find her parents to spend some time with them before she left to go find Bjorn.
A couple days later Elraine had just stepped out of the teleportation circle and found and extremely beautiful mature woman in front of her. "Goddess Gaia I greet you." Elraine bowed low before Gaia giving her the utmost respect.
"Fufufu, what a cute and respectful one we have here. I am guessing your one of my son's friends but I sure wouldnt mind if you became his wife. I bet he wouldn't even be able to take his eyes of off you. Hmm, are you alright darling you seem flushed."
Gaia enthusiastic as always barreled straight into Elraine with her bubbly personality. What she said did have a profound effect on Elraine like a weight had been lifted off of her shoulders when she heard Gaia speak. It was as if Gaia just said she approved of her and Bjorn being together.
With a beaming smile Elraine said," I would love to become your daughter-in-law, where is Bjorn? I must tell him the good news. Now we can be together even easier!"
Gaia was slightly taken aback at how fast this girl switched when she had joked about her being Bjorn's woman but she hid that quickly and smiled at Elraine.
"Mmm, he should be out having lunch with Ashlaine right about now, down in the entertainment district."
The cheerful smile faded fast from Elraine's lips. She pouted hard and took off before Gaia could say another word.
On her way to find Bjorn she thought to herself,' I cant let another woman get ahead of me I have to secure my spot right now!'
In less then ten minutes she had locked on to Bjorn's aura and found him quickly. She saw him talking with a strawberry blonde beauty and it set something off in Elraine. Without thinking much she put the full power of her aura on the other woman and started to step forward.
She watched as Bjorn stood up defensively for the other woman and she knew she had to do this. She mustered all of her courage stepped forward and grabbed the man by the collar and bringing him down.
