In a vast desert towering pyramids could be seen along side a river seemingly stretching into the heavens. It did not take long for someone to pick out the largest and most opulent of the pyramids.
Inside of the largest and most opulent pyramid there was a meeting taking place. Inside of this meeting there were a few distinctly different people sitting silently. Though they were sitting silently, they let off a suffocating amount of power.
The man at the head of the table (if you could call him that) was releasing a dark power of death from his body. His body was tanned with a slightly muscular build. He is tall but not large. The most notable things about this man though would have to be his head which resembles that of a dogs. He is none other than the Egyptian god Anubis. As the he sat there he scrutinized the other two with his dark golden eyes.
The first man he looked at was enormous to say the least. His sharp horns and blue scales that ran intermittently across his features spoke to his draconic lineage. He is none other than Enki, the missing dragon gods oldest son. The reason I say missing dragon god's' son is because Tiamat and her husband Apsu went missing along with Odin and Freya almost 400 years ago but that story is for another day.
Enki was enormous, standing at an easy 9 foot tall and at least 4 feet wide across the shoulders. He wore gold and silver pieces metal of to line his wings, The robe he wore seemed to have been spun from gold itself. He has striking golden eyes that seemed to hold immense power that swirled chaotically just below the surface.
The other man seemed to be one with the shadows and darkness. His long hair and beard start in a salt and pepper color then seem to just dissipate into the shadow. His frame is quite large. Wearing dark robes that seem to eat all of the light in the room could do nothing to hide the bulging muscles underneath. His eyes have an ethereal glow shining in a green hue. This is Erebus the Greek god of darkness.
"Why did you call us here Anubis?" Asked Erebus with a stoic expression on his face.
"To plan for this coming War Games of course."
"Bah, Anubis we have already planned again and again." Complained Enki with a sour look on his face.
"Variables change, plans change to accommodate. Variables have changed so we are here to plan again. Does that make sense to you lizard brain?" Replied Anubis to Enki's clear displeasure.
"Say that again and I will have to rename you to ER so you can be my emergency rations like any good dog should be." Enki said in a low voice.
When Anubis heard what Enki had said he was furious and went to jump up to attack, he found he could not move his body. Looking down he found himself covered in shadows from top to bottom leaving only his head exposed. Hearing a grunt his head snapped back to Enki to see him in the same position.
The one that caught the two of them had an annoyed look on his face. "You two fucking idiots can fight on your own time. Don't forget that I am an overlord and do not have the time to be here always while you two fight. Not to mention if Zeus or Ares found out that I am here you can kiss all of our lives good bye."
Both Anubis and Enki first looked at each nodded then looked back to Erebus. Seeing them understand that they had pissed him off once again, Erebus released his power on them and asked again.
"So Anubis why did you call us hear then?"
"Cahhemm, about that. It has to do with that boy Bjorn Thorson. We got information proving him to be a divine prince in the upper levels of the realm." Said Anubis after clearing his throat.
"We already knew he was powerful, that is why we restricted his army size to a third of everyone else's." Cut in Enki thinking this still wasn't enough of a reason to call the three of them together like this.
"We also got information stating that he was in the human lands fighting in wars. Apparently he has been seen to be a competent leader and brilliant tactician. Not to mention he is extremely good at naval battles." Anubis explained his reasons slowly as not to miss anything.
"Why would naval battle knowledge be useful? Have you finally found out who is hosting the War Games this year?"
"Yes, it is the Polynesian Pantheon. Apparently their new god king Maui has been put in charge of where the battles will take place. It is in the middle of the damn ocean."
Erebus and Enki looked at each other clearly surprised to hear this news. There is a couple key points that has caught their attention. The first being that Polynesian Pantheon is hosting the War Games this time, well it was more that they have a new god king among their ranks. Second was hearing the battle will take place on the ocean was a bit concerning.
It has to be known that there are a couple of the different god clans out there that specialize in different types of battle such as naval battles and more. To be honest when it comes to naval battles the Polynesian Pantheon and the Asgardian God Clan take the top positions as the best there.
In fact when it came to the overall strongest army it would undoubtedly be the Asgardian God Clan. Their fighters are just to diverse, ranging from Valkyries and Griffin Riders to an unstoppable naval and terrestrial fighting power.
"I think this is fine, this is another reason why we used the excuse of Bjorn being too strong to force them to bring a smaller army to fight in the war games this year." Said Erebus finally after a moment of thought. "Just be happy the Polynesian Pantheon can't participate this time since they are hosting. They would crush everyone if we had to fight them on the ocean as well."
"En, I feel what Erebus said makes sense. I am not staying here any longer... smells like wet dog in here." The last part Enki said under his breath so low no one but him knew he said anything.
"Damn lizard brain. His father Apsu the dread was much better than him in every way." Said Anubis.
"He is not wrong Anubis since we know where we are battling its useless to be here. I have to go set up my men with different gear now. I can't have my part of the team falling behind and since Zeus is so against helping me I have to do this on my own. He said he doesn't even need my shadow children to be apart of anything swearing to bring his niece Gaia's clan to its knee's this time around."
"Understandable, I say lets meet up in 5 weeks just before the games and finalize our plans." Said Anubis with a nod of his head.
Returning his nod without speaking Erebus's body then dissipated into shadows leaving only Anubis in the room.
"I still feel like we aren't doing enough to plan for this... I guess I will have to make my own preparations."
