After Oribella had been healed the sisters calmed down. For a time they worked together well and contently.
Ni struggled to share his time between his two families, but thankfully Oribella liked Lage.
Rara was not happy that her daughter liked her aunt so well, but let it go. She could see how happy Oribella was. She was happy to allow her to have that.
For now.
Another girl followed Lage's twins and then a boy. She named the girl Merrit and the boy Coret.
All the children were a beautiful combination of their two parents.
Even when Ni was with Rara he spent all the time he could with his crowd of children. The halls of the palace were filled with the noise of laughter. Oribella had no trouble keeping up with her siblings since her healing.
She began to show her powers. Kithel declared she was a spirit of charred wood. Secretly he worried for her knowing that charred wood would mean fires and destruction.
Kithel aged and when he reached adulthood he took his place in the palace on his own throne. Kinntho and Kithel had a happy union soon after.
Soon they welcomed their own daughter and son. They named the girl Riva and the boy Nerio.
Their children were less content to stay in the palace. They wanted to be in the water. Their parents insisted though that they spend time with their cousins. Finally, Kinntho turned one of the spare rooms into a small but deep pool. That appeased the two siblings.
The peace could not last. A storm was brewing on the horizon.
