Chapter 3 - Sinners dungeon tomb - 3

Deen had finally reached the southern foot of Little Hill. He looked around but there was nothing there that stood out much except for the overgrown trees and grass.

He made several manoeuvres looking for any clues but no luck. The sun was starting to bother him as he seemed to hate it, occasionally looking up and casting a very annoyed glance towards the sun.

"Darn it… Nothing."

He looked around a little more then finally sat down on a very unusually symmetrical rock.

"It has been five years since we came back to earth and earth literally has nothing Cosmic to offer. If only we hadn't made an enemy out of all the other planets full of Cosmic Energy."

After regretting a little longer, he stood and was about to start heading back when he noticed the rock he was sitting on.

"Mmh, Ruins? Seems they were all buried beneath the surface."

He darted his eyes around and finally seemed to notice a some sort of pattern from other symmetrical rocks lying around.

"Let's see."

He closed his eyes and started a 3d mental image simulation of the entire area he had walked around so far remembering every hint he might have ignored.

Soon he formed a mental image simulation of the possible size and location of the ruins.

"Looks like a building... no a castle of some sort."

He stopped and made a small wild smirk.

"Well well, something seems promising. I'm bound to find something here. All that is left is to find an entrance… assuming that the castle didn't falll on itself."

Deen soon was moving around the hill again looking for a possible entrance.

He seemed a bit more energetic and probably not feeling the sun as he had been probably because it would soon set in just a few hours.

The landscape wasn't the best for exploration or searching something. It was rugged , elephant grass blocking the view and the trees probably were hiding some parts of the ruins. That was his thinking anyway.

After a while he finally spotted something that looked like a wall. He closed in and rubbed some major dirt on it to get a better idea if it was really a wall, and it was.

"Finally…"

He then turned to look around for the presence of anyone then proceeded to do what he wanted to do to the wall.

He clenched his first hard to a point where is was audible and was about to punch it.

"Traveller, what is it you wish to gain by entering the Lost castle of Tarpeian. The place where sinners sleep."

Deen slowly turned to and made eye contact with the figure whom the sound was coming from.

The figure was that of a person and wore grey robs and held a golden staff with him. His face was covered by the robe's cap, unseen even under the light of evening light.

"Who are you?"

Deen asked peering directly to the person.

"I'm the seer of the grave of sinners. Nothing more nothing less."

"So you aren't here to stop me? You're not some sort of guardian?"

The figure tapped the ground with his staff and a small glimmer of golden energy pulsed from it.

"Those who enter the resting place of sinners my never return. Do you still wish to pass?"

The figure responded in a calm and eerie voice.

"I do." Deen responded with certainty.

The figure tapped the staff to the ground once again. The place suddenly started trembling and a deep fog engulfed the area.

When the shaking stopped , the visibly area quickly dwindled and Deen could not longer seen beyond the area where he was standing.

"Be warned Traveller, redemption cannot be found by strength alone. Only those who has abandoned everything all for redemption can truly find it."

The voice of the figure echoed as it vanished along with the figure.

Deen made a small sigh and proceed to walk forward despite not being able to see anything.

However it took just a few more steps and soon the visibility quickly returned. Deen found himself walking on a long and wide large hall way. The wall seemed ancient and some little mosses grew here and there inside the place probably due to a slight increase in humidity.

The place had a strong scent of ancient and unexplored place.

"Must have been ages since anyone was here…"

Deen continued walking forward for a few more minutes but soon stopped.

"This going to take forever."

His suddenly seemed to concentrate and in his irises that looked like like a distant star nebula, they patterns on them suddenly shifted and glimmered a bit.

"Ohh… This might be it. I sense so decent amount of Cosmic Energy this way."

Deen has a special ability called [.. Full Energy Location…] He could pinpoint exact location of all forms of energy. This involves also non supernatural energies such as heat. It's range is planetary.

However, if the energy is being concealed or lying in another dimension he won't be able to detect it.

Nova has the same ability but it's range is a normal sized city city and she can only detect supernatural energies so her ability is called [.. Supernatural Energy Location...]

Deen after locating the source of cosmic energy clenched his first again and landed an extremely heavy blow on the wall.

The wall cracked but didn't break. However the shock waves shoot the entire area and could make anyone inside think the entire thing was going down.

"Steady as hell, Just one more…"

He punched had once more and the wall exploded open giving him a way through.

Slowly he walked through it. Just a few seconds later the walls quickly mend itself and was it had been before.

Deen just gave it a short glance and didn't seem to care, he just proceeded to punch the next wall in his way.

Back inside the city Nova had already realised Deen wasn't gonna go to the bathroom as he seemed to suggest. He knew him well enough and his lies.

After finishing hear meal she went home changed some outfits and she was at the moment seated inside a library doing some research here and there.

Most of the books she was looking in seemed to be about ancient earth and proclaimed ancient relics along with supernatural sightings.

"Where is he going now?"

Nova spoke as she detected Deen's presence heading to the northern side of the city. His presence keep moving until it was completed outside the living districts.

"Did he find anything perhaps… well I'll just worker harder and be the one to find some more powers first."

She decided. She continued reading but at some point she got bored or didn't find anything helpful, or both and decided to exit the library. After putting the books carefully in their shelves she turned around to exit the place.

Suddenly her expression turned grim and pale. She stood frozen for a moment before quickly walking off the place.

Standing outside the library she turned her gaze to the direction where Deen's presence was.

"He's… He's gone! I can't sense him anymore…"

She abruptly touched her chest as if trying to feel something.

"Luckily our link is still there so he's probably still alive… but what happened. We can't waste anyone time here."

Nova leaped to the sky and flew towards the north.
