Chapter 13 - The Amazing Vastness

Rowan asked a question to Yi, which went like this: "If this core were to be destroyed, would all existence within the digital world disappear and be annihilated?" Yi replied, "Yes, for other existences, but not for me and Ling." Rowan inquired, "Why?" Yi answered, "This core can be likened to a heart, and we are like the blood; without us, the heart or core won't function. If there's no heart, no blood, or even if there is, the digital world won't come to life without power."

Rowan still didn't quite understand what Yi was explaining, but he disregarded it and asked, "How vast is the digital world?" Yi replied, "The digital world is incredibly vast, possibly limitless." Rowan asked, "So vast, but how?" Yi replied, "The digital world can also be thought of as having the vastness of an inaccessible Cardinal." Rowan asked, "Inaccessible Cardinal? What does that have to do with the digital world?" Yi explained, "Well, the creation of the digital world can be likened to a collection of balls, with their number being the same as all the numbers, whether negative, natural, or real, that are limitless. Meanwhile, the digital world, which is the vastness of the inaccessible Cardinal, can be thought of as a special box. Here, we place all those countless balls inside the box, and no matter how many balls you put in, they won't fill the box – it's like an inaccessible Cardinal."

Rowan said, "I'm starting to get it." Yi added, "The digital world is like a world that contains worlds, and what's even more amazing is that a world within the digital world can encompass other worlds within it, creating an endless hierarchy." Rowan asked, "So how vast is the creation of the digital world?" Yi replied, "It's also limitless. Why? Because all creations and their vastness are determined by a very large, even infinite, number."

Rowan nodded in understanding.

Ling and Yi then took Rowan to another place called "The Infinite Vault." Rowan asked, "What is The Infinite Vault?" Ling replied, "The Infinite Vault is a place where damaged and dangerous creations are stored and carefully guarded." Rowan asked, "Who actually guards it?" Ling answered, "The Guardians are the ones responsible for guarding it." Rowan inquired, "Who are The Guardians, and where do they come from?" Ling replied, "The Guardians are natural entities that emerge within the digital world, and they are like a common presence." Rowan nodded in response.

The Guardians are entities similar to antivirus programs in reality and are tasked with protecting against any virus threats that may arise.

They arrived at The Infinite Vault, and Ling invited them to enter. Inside, Rowan could see maps, creations, and even some eerie creatures. This place concealed cursed worlds within the digital world. Inside, a particular map caught Rowan's attention. He saw an ancient-looking map that was peculiar because it seemed to depict a complex within another world due to its unusual structure.

Rowan asked Ling, "What is this map actually?" Ling replied, "This is a map of the digital world, but not the digital world itself."

Ling continued, "What's even stranger is that this map is intricately drawn with the tapestry of the digital world, which holds dark secrets and other frightening elements, but the artist of this map remains unidentified." Rowan had a sense that something was approaching them from outside.

Anxiety set in as the atmosphere grew tense due to an impending threat. It was an attack from a group of destroyer creatures. Rowan asked, "What is that?" Ling replied, "Those are digital world viruses, but don't worry because The Guardians themselves will combat them." As they emerged, all The Guardians were defeated, leaving only the troublesome group of destroyer creatures still alive.

Yi emitted a shining aura, and with a boom, an explosion created by Yi using his aura erased those creatures, including their deepest aspects of existence. Meanwhile, The Guardians either remained alive or were resurrected to once again safeguard The Infinite Vault.

Rowan inquired, "What was that just now?" Yi answered, "It was a virus, a threat within the digital world. They are also natural entities within this world." Rowan was amazed by Yi's power and the complexity of the digital world, and all of this was just a small aspect of the vast world of Zephyria.

Yi and Ling invited Rowan to enter The Infinite Vault once again because there were still things they wanted to convey and show. Rowan felt certain that there must be a key to ascending to a broader and higher world, perhaps impossible, and perhaps not.
