Lucia's pov's
I lay down on my bed while tears dripped down from my eyes and I wiped them withe the back of my hands.
Just what did I do to deserve this?
I got home only to recive slaps and insult.
Mama wasn't like this before. But ever since we went for the school spelling competition two years ago and I came first, she changed.
I cried to sleep that night and hoped mama would change for the better.

I woke up to the sound ot music coming from our neighbors house.

I stood up and yawned then I turned and ...
Ahh ...!!!
"The fu**!! It's 8:0'clock!! I'm late for school" I screamed and ran to the bathroom.
In the next five minutes, I was rushing downstairs with my bag and books in one hand and my shoes in the other.
I went to the kitchen and saw a pan cake and apple on the table.
No one was at home so I guess that was my breakfast.
I also saw my lunch money in my money bag and I smiled.
Dad is so awesome.... He never forgets my lunch money.
I quickly ate my breakfast and ran out of the house.
I took a cab soon I arrived at the only college in winneburgh.
Winneburgh trailblazer college.
That was the name of our school. I ran through the gates.
"Morning max"
"Yo, morning Lucy. Your late."
That's our security officer. My best buddy.
He always let's me sneak out of school to go for rehearsal before the end of classes.
"I know, won't be tomorrow" I replied still running.
" Yeah right, like I believe you. "I heard him mumble and I laughed.
I always say that but I'm always late.
As soon as I entered my class....
"Good morning miss shellberry. What's the time on your watch?"
The witch
That's what we call her, our geography teacher.

"Um, I'm sorry Mrs morthil. I woke up late cause I caught a cold . It won't happen next time." I said.
She just looked at me and shook her head, then gestured for me to take my seat.
"Thank you Mrs morthil."
I quickly ran to desk and took out my books.
"As we all know, winneburgh is a small town In capitola which is close to Santa Cruz..... " She started teaching.
Just then the class room door opened and our headmaster, Mr Rogelio walked in with a tall boy wearing a hoodie and a nose mask.
"Good morning Mr Rogelio." The whole class greeted.
" Morning lovelies. Umm we have a new transfer student who will be joining you in your senior year. " He said and looked at the boy.
" I know is weird but be nice to your class mate. " He said and told the guy to introduce himself.
"Jarrel Dimitri." He said

That's all?? Just his name and nothing else?
He his one wired guy....
Mr Rogelio looked dumbfounded but didn't say further cause the boy already walked to the back seat and sat down.
The headmaster left and class resumed.
Then I noticed something.....
He was sitting close to me....
ME..???¿
I sat at the back close to Sonia and there were two other empty chairs close to me.
But he sat at the one close to me...
Ahh... Lucy what are you thinking?
Focus focus.
"Hey, what happened to your face?" Someone said.
It was my bf, Sonia.
Shit!! I forgot to put makeup on the place mom slapped me yesterday.
That mean I've been moving around with a slap mark on my cheeks?
Hmmmm
I gave a fake smile and said to her
"I fought with Leila yesterday night. I woke up late and rushed to school without applying my concealer."
" Your sister is one hard but to crack. "She said" during break I'll apply the concealer for you. " She added.
I smiled my friend is the best!!
During lunch time, we both went to the canteen to get our lunch.
I took an apple , hamburger, sauce and bubble tea.
Sonia ordered the same thing.
Then we sat down to eat close to the window. Other students were already there.
Then all of a sudden we heard some noise.
"Oh my, Henry is so handsome"
"I know right. Wish he was my boyfriend"
" Yeah, you wish . He's girlfriend will reap your head off. "

I found out and confronted him and he said he didn't want a girl he can't have sex with.
Yeah, you heard right. I'm a virgin and I plan on keeping it that way till I'm married.
So we broke up though we've been dating from our junior year, we didn't even feel the pain of the break up so I know we're not meant to be.
He walked in and soon his 'girlfriend' followed behind.
Then he looked straight at me with a strange look...
A remorseful look.....? No that can't be.

I looked away and continued eating.
"Girl, did you even hear what I just said?" Sonia said angrily
" Huh? Did you say something? "
"Ugh, what were you thinking?"
" Nothing, just some stuff. " I lied
" Whatever, anyways I said the new guy in our class is weird don't you think so too? " She said
I nodded
" Me too, does he really have too hide his face like that. "
" Hmm, what if he's a criminal and he's hiding in winneburgh? " Yeah that's Sonia with her crazy imagination.
"Yeah right, and he came to murder you" I sassed and she smacked my shoulder while I laughed.
"It's not funny!! I'm serious here."
"I know, sorry. But sweetie I don't think he's a criminal, maybe he's shy or he's just an elusive person." I was still saying when I noticed a presence behind me.
"Hey Lucy, can I talk to you for a minute?"
I looked at the person who spoke.
Camila.
"What do you want?" I went straight to the point cause we aren't friends.
"Chill girl, it's Henry's birthday in a week time and since you're his 'EX', you should know what he likes. So do mind telling me some so i can make him happy".
I knew she was out for trouble so I'd just

"Oh really, I forget. Well he's been your boyfriend for two years now plus when you both cheated behind my back. So I'm surprised you still don't know what he likes." I said and Camila's face turned black but I went on.
"Well, seem your not that much of a better girlfriend than me cause I don't remember what he likes since my feelings died along with our relationship. Why should I keep remembering what he likes?"
" How dare you say I'm no better than you wench !!! " She fumed and raised her hand to slap me but I silently watched her.
"Stop that Camila. What are you doing." A voice said from among the crowd that had gathered around us.
It was Henry, Camila's boyfriend and my ex.
She immediately pressed out tears from her eyes
"Babe, I just asked her if she remembers something you like so I could give you but she started insulting me." She quickly defended herself.
Henry turned to me while I also watched him.
"I'm sorry if Camila offended you, I'll bring her away."
I smiled
Camila stiffened.... Then she looked enraged.
"What's your problem? Clearly she abused me and now you're apologizing to her?" She screamed.
