Chapter 32 - Are You Blaming Me?

At the first opportunity, Luck returned home and took the gold coins he had hidden with him, and immediately returned to Liam's tent.

Ignoring Devi, Can, and Velma who were looking at him with puzzled looks, Luck handed the bag of gold coins to the priest.

Luck's full attention was on Liam, who was unconscious but grimacing from the pain he must have suffered.

"Here is your money, now heal Liam."

The priest, who weighed the money bag in his hand for a moment, put the bag full of money in his pocket in a satisfied manner, then knelt next to Liam, closed his eyes, and after the priest said a few harmonious words as if he was singing, a golden glow began to emanate from his hands.

When the golden glow fell on Liam, Liam's skin began to heal visibly.

As the relatives of the injured people in the surrounding area watched this scene, some of them could see expressions of sadness, anger, and jealousy on their faces.

"If there was a place in town that sold high-class potions, we wouldn't have to rely on priests!" the man said angrily through his teeth as he poured a low-grade life potion into a girl lying on the ground.

Unlike the priest's spell, the man's potion had no noticeable effect, the only noticeable effect was a slight relaxation in the expression of the woman on the ground.

"Shh, shut up, you'll get in trouble!" the woman next to him hurriedly shushed him.

Acting or even looking at the priests, who were seen as the earthly hand of the God of Light, a deity recognized almost everywhere on the continent, could have severe penalties.

The priest either didn't hear their conversation out of exhaustion or was so pleased with the money he had made that he turned and walked out of the tent.

Luck was in no mood to give a damn about anyone, he was carefully examining Liam.

Liam's back, arms, hands, and finally his face were completely healed, so much so that anyone looking at Liam would never have guessed that he had been burnt to the point where his skin was melting.

"It's like a miracle..." Luck blurted out in surprise.

Devi realized Luck's astonishment and said, "Yes, that's why they have such a great power on the continent, except for the priests of the god of light, the number of people with healing power can be counted on one hand... There are priests of the god of darkness, but... They are of little use to living beings."

That was the problem for ordinary people, low-grade potions were available, but as the quality of potions increased, the supply of potions in small places like Victory Town decreased and the price increased.

"Watch out!" Liam suddenly got up from where he was lying, shouting.

Not realizing where he was for a moment, Liam looked around in confusion.

Liam thought 'Where am I?' ( ⚆ _ ⚆ )

"Liam! Thank God!" As soon as Velma saw Liam coming to, she jumped on Liam and hugged him tightly.

Velma continued to talk like a rifle while hugging Luck tightly.

"Thank God you're okay!"

"I'm sorry this happened to you because of me!"

"It was the boss who saved you, Liam! The boss paid a fortune for you!"

Velma was so happy that Liam was okay that she didn't realize that she was burying Liam between her breasts and leaving him breathless.

Devi (¬‿¬)

Can (⊙...⊙ )

Luck ( ͡° ʖ ͡°)

'let's say you deserved it, well done...'

After a while, Luck came to the aid of Liam, who started to turn blue from lack of breath.

"Velma Liam just woke up, you better not kill him right away."

Luck looked meaningfully at Liam and Velma's chest.

Realizing what she had done, Velma let go of Laim instantly.

"Ahhh." Liam, who was not ready for Velma to let go of him, fell to the ground this time and hit his head.

"I'm sorry!!! It's me again!"

Velma, who was in a hurry while trying to lift Liam to his feet, tripped on the ground and this time she fell on Liam.

Darkness... besides the pitch blackness, what Liam felt was softness.

'oh my god it's like being above the clouds....but I'm suffocating a bit!'

Luck: ( ゚д゚)

'what kind of luck is this? I want to be lucky too'

Luck, a virgin who was too lazy to leave his room and play games all day, couldn't help wishing for a little more luck.

...

After taking Liam out of the cliché tent, they walked together to the street where the shop was.

Their happiness at Liam's recovery was replaced by the realization of the seriousness of the situation when they passed through the market and saw the burning shops and the wounded.

Glancing furtively at Luck, none of them dared to say anything because Luck seemed to be in deep thought.

When he came to the burning shop, Luck finally came to a decision.

Taking out his money pouch from his pocket, Luck took out 100 gold coins and handed them to Velma.

"Share this money among yourselves, the shop will be closed for a while."

Velma looked at the pouch full of gold and said, "But boss, this is too much!"

Luck waved his hand and stated that he did not accept any objection, "I don't know how long we will be closed, so I understand if you want to find another job and work."

"Boss..." Velma looked like she was going to cry again while distributing the money in the bag.

Devi, without looking at the gold coins Velma put in her hand, said, "I would like to work with you when you open a shop again, boss."

Can nodded and said, "Me too, boss," indicating that he was thinking the same thing.

"My life is yours, boss. " Liam's mind reeled when he heard the amount of gold Luck had paid the priest to heal him.

He couldn't help thinking, "Was my life worth all that money?

But Luck had paid all that money for him without a second thought, which was the main reason that made them all want to work for Luck again.

The events that had transpired could have been connected to him in some way, but Luck had chosen to pay a fortune just to save Liam's life, Liam wasn't even sure if he would have done such a thing if he was in Luck's shoes.

"Luck you're here! Thank God!"

Luck turned round to see Halt and Horace gasping for breath.

Luck was worried when he saw Halt and Horace panting in blood sweat, "Are you guys okay?"

Taking a deep breath, Horace said, "Luck, you've got to run!"

Luck was puzzled "Should I run away why?"

Without giving Horace a chance to explain, Halt said "Someone claimed that you started the fire in the marketplace! The town guards are looking for you!"

Luck: (,,#゚Д゚)

Luck immediately thought of one person.

"Bastard, first you kidnapped me, then you burned down my shop and injured my employee, and now are you blaming me??
