Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: Mariejois

The Grand ship of the World Government, sailing at full speed, swiftly returned to the Holy Land, Mariejois.

Saint Rosward disembarked, entered the palanquin carried by slaves, and made his way back to his mansion.

Before long, news about the Five Elders reached him.

The Five Elders wished to summon Saint Rosward.

Without hesitation, Saint Rosward entrusted his slaves with the matters concerning his son's relics and hurried to the center of Mariejois.

The place where the Five Elders were often seen was the Room of Authority inside Pangea Castle.

"I greet the Five Elders," Saint Rosward respectfully bowed his head upon seeing them.

Despite being a world noble, he knew the importance of showing respect to these councilors who held the highest power.

"Have you found any results?" asked Saint Shepherd Ju Peter, with his blonde hair.

"My son..." Rosward's expression darkened as he recounted the events at the headquarters, including the Cameko incident and the statement of the female ghost provided by the Marines.

"The Marines are inept. They fabricated a story to evade responsibility and even claimed that the female ghost caused harm. They are all incompetent!" Saint Rosward's face flushed with anger as he spoke.

"A Cameko?" The Five Elders frowned upon hearing this and turned to CP0, who accompanied Saint Rosward.

"Provide a detailed report on this matter," they instructed.

"Also, gather detailed information about the prisoner Lucas in Impel Down within a day. You may use any means necessary, even if it leads to his death, to obtain the information."

"Yes, councilor," CP0 nodded and withdrew respectfully.

"Lucas... a name I haven't heard of," Saint Marcus Mars, with his long beard and mustache, whispered as he sat on the sofa.

In a room at Mariejois, a CP0 agent who was packing Saint Charlos's belongings suddenly found a Cameko in his clothes.

"What is a Cameko doing here?" CP0 was stunned. Since he had always stayed in the Holy Land, Mariejois, he was unaware of this item.

Outside the door, a CP personnel greeted Saint Fitzschel.

"Greetings Saint Fitzschel," the CP personnel said respectfully.

The CP0 turned to look back and saw a young man with upright tresses arriving in a palanquin carried by eight slaves.

"Isn't Uncle Rosward around here?" Saint Fitzschel surveyed the situation inside the mansion.

Although the Heavenly Dragons are known as world nobles in the world, it does not mean that they are an interconnected family. They are also divided into several families.

One of Saint Rosward's family members has passed away, and the Heavenly Dragons from other families are rushing to attend Saint Charlos's funeral.

However, a Celestial Dragon's funeral is much more luxurious and grand than the outside world.

"Saint Fitzschel, Saint Rosward went to the Five Elders under their orders," the CP0 agent bowed his head respectfully as he spoke.

"I didn't expect Charlos to die so early," Saint Fitzschel shook his head, his expression somber. He had a close relationship with Saint Charlos and they were childhood friends. One of Saint Charlos's 13 wives was even recommended by Saint Fitzschel.

Saint Fitzschel's expression suddenly changed as he looked at the CP0.

"It's not only the Marine's incompetence but also your Cipher Pol's incompetence. Charlos, whom you were tasked to protect, is dead. While you have this item in your hand, do you have the audacity to watch a video here?"

"Saint Fitzschel, I beg your forgiveness. This item is one of Saint Charlos's possessions," the CP0 quickly explained the situation, fearing dire consequences.

"A relic of Charlos, you say?" Saint Fitzschel's face relaxed upon hearing this.

"If Charlos saw fit to keep it, it must be something of great interest to him."

Saint Fitzschel signaled for the Cameko to be brought to him.

"I'll take the Cameko. I want to see the last memento Charlos left in this world," Saint Fitzschel said, with a touch of sadness, remembering the life he had shared with Saint Charlos.

Editor: I had several problems enhancing this chapter with my AI and the new character Fitzschel.... first he was Fitzscheler and then Fitzschel? Fitzschel is better.

Master this Master that, do people really call them Master? eh i just changed it all to Saint, and servants? heh, might aswell make them all slaves, it suits the celestial scums best.

Seems like the author didn't know the names of the five elders, so i added it :P.

I also hate the word sedan chair, doesn't sound pleasing to me so i changed it to palanquin
