Lisa's eyes widened slowly, "Wh– what are you–"
"Marry me, then you can enjoy all the privileges of being Mrs. K without strings attached."
Lisa swallowed greedily. What a mouth watering offer. But the image of lonely Kai suddenly flashed past her mind.
'What would Kai think of me?'
As that thought crossed her mind, Lisa frowned slightly. Why is she feeling uncomfortable? Why is she getting this weird feeling that Kai would be sad if she said 'Yes' to Lord K? Didn't she come here to look for a wealthy boyfriend? So, why is she concerned with what another woman would think of her?
Wrapping the feeling at the back of her mind, she turned her face away from Lord K's fingers and emptied the last content in her glass before saying, "Marriage is a serious matter, Lord K. I still have a long way to go and lots of things to achieve before I settle down."
