"Who are you and how come you know my name?" Alyssa asked Raymon as they stopped walking.
"She doesn't know me in real life?" Raymon looked at her with a sad face. "I am Prince Raymon, crown prince of Daichi kingdom," he said.
"Daichi?" "Where is this place? Is it on the world map?" She asked all at once.
"It's not on the map, it has a different exit to the main world," he replied.
"Wow, that's strange" she muttered before yawning lightly.
"You should go to the palace with me," Raymon said as he tried to hold her hand.
"No, no, no" Alyssa was scared and she staggered behind, quickly putting her hands away from Raymon, she didn't want to be in the palace.
"Why? You would be safer there" Raymon said, trying to convince her and he moved closer to her but surprisingly Alyssa took some steps back, she looked scared of him.
"I just want to be alone, " Alyssa replied. She was scared that she would harm people in the palace if she got there.
Raymon felt dejected, he finally saw her after all these years and all he wanted was to spend time with her. "Fine, I'd take you to a safe house," he said as he took her hands in his and walked towards his horse.
"This is where you'd be staying," Raymon said as they got to the safehouse."I'd assign some guards here, just in case someone tries to attack you"
"You're bleeding!" She said, "This is all my fault, what have I done?" She muttered.
"Hey! Alyssa, you didn't do anything wrong okay?" Raymon replied. "You were only trying to save yourself from those who were trying to hurt you" he added as he drew her into his shoulders for a warm hug. Alyssa let her tears flow finally, Raymon was being good to her while all she wanted to do was to kill him.
"Why are you crying? Did I say anything wrong?" Raymon asked worriedly.
"No, you didn't but you should stay away from me," Alyssa said.
"Why should I do that? He asked.
"Because I was brought here to kill you and they would never let me off the hook if I don't do what they want " she replied.
"Alyssa, I'm the crown prince, not any ordinary person, do you think I can be killed so easily?" He asked. "Those people who want me dead aren't brave enough so they sent someone stronger than them, but believe me when I say, I can't die, so stop worrying," he said.
"But they..."
"Oh, they can't do anything to us 'cause I'd be here to protect you, even if it means staying up all night and day, I'd do it, " Raymon said. "Just stop trying to push me away," he added. Alyssa nodded, Raymon was the second person who had shown her love after Kylie.
"If he could protect me at the cave, then he can protect me at any other time, I should also try to protect him," she thought. Alyssa soon fell asleep on Raymon's shoulder and he laid her on the bed as he watched her. She was the same person in his dreams, only that she didn't have the smile she had in his dreams.
"Whoever had taken your smile, I'd also take theirs in exchange " Raymon promised as he tried cleaning off the dried tears from her cheek. He telepathically summoned his brother, Zayn. "Alyssa was brought here to kill me, find out who brought her here and why they want her to kill me instead?"
The next morning, Alyssa felt her head banging though she surprisingly slept well without worrying about anything. She perceived a nice aroma and her stomach rumbled.
"Urgh! I'm so hungry" she muttered as she stood up from the bed. She looked around but didn't see any sign of Raymon.
"I guess he went home already, though he said he'd watch over me, tch, he couldn't even keep his promise " She sighed and walked downstairs where she heard little sounds coming from.
Raymon was in an apron, cooking breakfast for Alyssa. He smiled when he picked up her scent. "She's here," he said in his head. Alyssa was shocked to see Raymon in the kitchen cooking for her. Her anger immediately disappeared but then she realized he was a prince and shouldn't be cooking for a mere person like herself.
"Give it to me, I'll do the cooking," Alyssa said as she tried taking the spoon from Raymon's hands.
"Why?" Raymon asked as he pushed her back to the cupboard.
"Because you're a prince and you shouldn't be caught doing things like this," she said. Raymon chucked at her cuteness.
"Done!" He said as he turned the eggs into two plates. "Come, let's have breakfast together," he said. "Did you sleep well?" He asked again.
"Why have you been nice to me?" Alyssa asked with a teary voice.
"Hey, what did I do wrong again?" He asked.
"You didn't do anything wrong, just that people always like being bad to me, no one was ever kind to me and all I wanted was to be loved" Alyssa finally broke down in tears.
Raymon hugged her tightly, "Those people you met are monsters and they don't deserve you, Alyssa ". "Give me a chance to prove myself and protect you," he said as he held her face in his hands and drew it closer to his. Alyssa thought he was about to kiss her, so she jerked away as her stomach rumbled loudly.
"Hey, you have a stain on your face and your stomach needs food," Raymon said.
"Uhh, I'd clean it when I brush my teeth" Alyssa ran back upstairs to hide her embarrassed face while Raymon kept smiling.
"Hurry, Alyssa, the food would get cold," Raymon said. After breakfast, they cleared the house since they lived alone without any guards.
"How is your injury?" She asked.
"It's fine, stop worrying," he replied. " Do you need anything?" He said.
"No, I'm fine but you should go back to the palace," Alyssa said.
"Are you sending me away?" Raymon said with a low voice.
"No, not at all, you're the crown prince and you shouldn't be away from your duty post for too long, " she said.
"But if I leave, who will protect you?" He asked worriedly.
"Do you think they'd have brought me here if I was that weak?" She questioned him. "I can defend myself, crown prince, " she added.
"It's Raymon! Call me Raymon especially if it's just the two of us" he said.
"Fine, r..r... Raymon " Alyssa stuttered. "You should leave now, " she added.
"I'd come back for you, okay?" He said. "Don't go anywhere and don't think of running from me" he warned.
She looked into his eyes and didn't see any frightening look, she slightly smiled before nodding her head to Raymon. "He's different from the scorpion and dark eyes," she thought as she watched him ride on his horse.
