Katrin held the girl's hand gently, letting her lead them back down the hallway. "So, tell us about this Eldor you knew?" she asked, trying to keep the girl engaged.
Catherine yawned, her steps slowing. "He used to come to our house when I was really little and tell me stories. He was very nice."
Katrin glanced at Ethan, before giving the girl a soft smile. "He sounds like a great friend."
Catherine nodded sleepily. "He was. I miss him. Maddie liked him a lot."
Katrin turned to Ethan cautiously, "Maddie?"
"Mhm. Maddie is my big sister. Ethan used to visit her for tea when she was really sick. She cried for days when he stopped visiting." The little girl was now watching her shadow move as they walked, "Shouldn't you know this? Maddie told me ghosts know about everything and everyone in the homes the haunt."
"Uh- well..." Katrin stuttered looking to her husband for help.
"We are new ghosts." The duke chipped in quickly.
