The bridesmaids and page boys are all children from the royal family. Her father and King Alexander must be the ones who choose to take the role of their wedding.
As the door of the church finally opened, she saw a few people who turned their heads on her.
She didn't have an idea of what to do or maybe she was anxious because it was her first time with a lack of guidance for her upcoming wedding.
She paused a little bit while gripping her bouquet of Charles White Peony and a sprig of myrtle. They thought she'd run away not until she took a step forward.
Yukie decided that she would walk on her own without King Harry on her side and her father was surprised. She ordered Heine to not let her father walk beside her.
She also wrote that when she ordered Heine to deliver a letter to King Alexander personally.
The guests were surprised that she'd march without her father, but the page boys hold the tail of her veil on the back and the bridesmaids are behind them.
Walks on the aisle with grace as the sound of a piano and the angelic voices of choirs perfectly match the rhythm and music of her march as it sounds like a fairy tale in her ears.
She kept smiling at the guests as if everything was normal.
King Harry would want to scold Yukie publicly as he was informed by Heine that he should stay behind and not let Yukie walk beside her, his angry expression is still present and Queen Delphinium saw that.
She just sighed in satisfaction seeing her brother-in-law's facial expression.
Sophia Lynn was surprised to see Yukie's look as a bride. She was supposed to be the bride but she did not want to marry King Alexander and Prince Viktor is her dream groom.
She was supposed to be the beautiful guest in her older sister's wedding but Yukie unintentionally took the spotlight.
As she heard the whispers from their guests about complimenting Yukie's looks.
They were also surprised that she was King Harry's eldest daughter since they only saw Sophia Lynn.
Prince Viktor was also there at her wedding and he couldn't believe what he saw on Yukie.
When Sophia Lynn saw that look, her dagger gaze pierced Yukie's back and the bride was too focused on her mission.
She faced the back of her groom. He looks so tall, with broad shoulders that his body frame looks muscular.
His black-brown hair combs neatly even though there's a little bit of kempt.
Wait.
Why does Yukie feel familiar with her groom's physique?
The groom wears a black military dress with a sword hanging on his left side.
'Yukie, you can do this' her inner thoughts say a mantra, as she is nervous about her wedding, and it is an impromptu but she won't have to fail, for the sake of citizens and people from Derora.
Yukie finally reaches the altar and faces the officiant with a smile as the music finally stops.
Then Yukie faced her groom and she was surprised.
Her ocean azure orbs are bulging, mouth agape in pure shock and surprise to see her groom King Alexander.
It looks the same as when they met with the handsome mysterious guy at the Peony Flower Farm.
Square jawline, high cheekbones, brows like two-fat caterpillars, high forehead, Greek contour nose-shape, and black orbs!
But he is not wearing his square-framed eyeglasses.
Is this him? Is that really King Alexander? Or maybe that mysterious guy at the flower farm and King Alexander look the same.
She was surprised as she tried to pinch her cheeks.
A sharp pain is tingling the skin of her chubby cheeks.
King Alexander cupped her face lightly even though the veil was blocking his touch on her cheeks and gently caressed it.
"Am I really that handsome for you, Mi Dama Hermosa? Yes, I am your groom and my name is King Alexander Spencer Arison."
Said with a sweet honey-like deep husky voice which the guests who happened to witness this serene cute scene said in an AWE voice even they're royal and noble members.
Yukie blushed in deep red as she couldn't help but surprise and get giddy at all.
Is Yukie too, starting to develop an interest in him?
She had these weird feelings the moment they met at the Peony Flower Farm.
She did not expect that King Alexander, her groom, would be nothing like what she and anyone have expected on their wedding evening.
He is sweet, loving, and handsome.
King Harry would not expect this result as he did not expect to see King Alexander showing his sweet and gentlemanly side to Yukie which he is now perplexed.
Sophia Lynn grips her black lace fan as she's fuming in anger and boils in envy.
She expects King Alexander to be scary and cold like how they met but he acts differently to her older sister and it's her first time to see him in a fluffy side.
Prince Viktor, on the other hand, wounded his pride, as he felt ironic that Yukie was marrying a King and that King was King Alexander.
What wounded him and his pride more was King Alexander was the youngest king ever in royalty history.
"Mi Dama Hermosa? Wait you are the man I met at the Peony Flower Farm?"
Yukie whispered back that only she and Alexander could hear.
King Alexander just smiled at her and whispered back.
"YES, THAT'S ME AND FINALLY WE MEET AGAIN." Then King Alexander faced the pastor and Yukie caught off guard.
She did not expect that it was him when they met first and she felt embarrassed about their first meeting.
Yukie diverts her attention to the officiant who let them two have their moments before the ceremony starts.
The officiant starts speaking for the opening of their wedding.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the presence of God and these witnesses to join Princess Yukie Mae Assfrior and King Alexander Spencer Arison in holy matrimony. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a lifelong commitment of love and support. Let us begin this joyous celebration with a prayer."
The bride and groom did not realize they slowly felt a weird and strong magnetic feeling that floated them up in the air.
It gives an enchanting feeling to Yukie and King Alexander.
"Heavenly Father, we gather to celebrate your gift of love, and its presence among us. We rejoice that these two people have chosen to commit themselves to a life of loving faithfulness to one another. We praise you, Lord, for the ways you have touched our lives with loving relationships such as Princess Yukie and King Alexander's, and we give thanks for the special love and friendship you have put in their hearts. Renew within us an affectionate and loving spirit.
Enrich our lives with the gracious gift of your love so that we may embrace others with that same love. May our participation in this celebration of love and commitment, give us new joy and responsiveness to the relationships that we cherish. In your loving arms, we pray, Amen. You may all be seated."
The guests obediently follow the officiant's command while Yukie and King Alexander stand at the altar.
Hearing the prayers earlier, she knows that their marriage is only in papers and for alliances of their kingdom but hearing it feels like it's an ethereal.
Not only Yukie is thinking about that but also King Alexander.
These two clueless people, a princess, and a king are thinking intrusive thoughts without letting each other know.
They both know that it's only an arranged marriage but now they met again, it feels like they want more than that.
'Stupid Alexander, it's only for marriage alliances but why did I feel this way?' is what his mind says behind his serious expression. He slowly took a glance of Yukie as she listened intently to the officiant then Alexander went back in front of the officiant as he read a Scripture.
"In 1 Corinthians 13: 4 – 7: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Let us pray for this man and woman as they make their marriage vows."
The officiant gives a short sermon about marriage, love, the duties and responsibilities of a husband and wife, a mother and father for their children, sacred words for love and sex, and being loyal and committed to their partners.
This is Yukie's dream about marriage.
Even if she doesn't marry the man she loves the most, she knows that King Alexander won't hurt her.
She understands that falling in love with her as his wife's chances are very slim.
King Alexander on the other hand, when he heard a sermon, realize he screwed up.
But he knows himself that he slowly developed feelings for Yukie but he was rushed to the wedding at the will of his family.
He was grateful that he'd agreed on King Harry to marry her instead of Sophia Lynn.
He wouldn't be happy if he didn't agree to exchange deals with her father.
"Yukie and Alexander, you have come together this day, that the Lord may seal and strengthen your love in the presence of this community of family and friends as well as I. And so, in the presence of this gathering, I ask you to state your intentions: Have you both come here freely and without reservation to give yourselves to each other in holy matrimony? If so, answer by saying 'I do'"
The wedding ring is made of pure Welsh gold but the ring for Yukie has a Sapphire stone.
The officiant said a word to King Alexander to repeat his word plus he added a vow to Yukie.
"With this ring, I thee wed. Wear it as a symbol of our love and commitment. I used to be scared of what-ifs. But every time I take your hand I'm more excited for the future than scared.
To promise to love you in sickness and in health, in good and in bad is the easiest promise I've ever made because vowing to love you was something I decided when I first met you."
King Alexander slipped a wedding ring to Yukie's dainty ring finger while gazing at Yukie. Admiring her beauty and eyes.
He badly wants to back in time and meet Yukie cause even if it's only a rushed marriage, he is sure that he wants to marry Yukie and be his wife.
Is it not too late for him? Or is he?
The officiant also instructs Yukie the same to King Alexander thus she grabbed the wedding ring for him.
He decided to break the protocol of a traditional royal wedding cause when he met Yukie, he wanted to experience exchanging rings aside from vows.
"I take you as my husband, with your faults and your strengths, as I offer myself to you with my faults and my strengths. I will help you when you need help, and turn to you when I need help. I choose you as the person with whom I will spend my life.
I pledge to you my faithfulness to show you the same kind of love as Christ showed the Church when He died for her, and to love you as a part of myself. In His sight, we shall be one.
I vow to support you, inspire you, and love you forever and always.
With this ring, I thee wed. Wear it as a symbol of our love and commitment."
Then she placed a wedding ring on his ring finger with a loving look.
Yukie knows that this is an act for the sake of their royal reputations and relationships but her vow to Alexander is honest and genuine even if he won't love her.
These two cannot help but know that they slowly develop romantic feelings and attachments.
The guests were clapping and someone found it romantic at their wedding, Heine was also surprised at this, especially at Alexander.
He is hoping that this is not an act as he is worried that he might hurt Yukie since he's scary and intimidating.
The officiant speaks for a declaration of intent and then he declares a pronouncement.
"Those whom God has joined together, let no man put asunder. In so much as Princess Yukie and King Alexander have consented together in holy wedlock, and have witnessed the same before God and these witnesses, having given and pledged their faith, each to the other, and having declared same by the giving and receiving of rings, I pronounce that you are both husband and wife. You may now seal the promises you have made to each other this day with a kiss."
Yukie was nervous after all, they needed to exchange kisses?! She wasn't informed of that but she had to as her groom slowly opened her veil.
He paused a little cause she was more beautiful when he uncovered her veil. Then he whispered to Yukie.
"I am sorry if we must do this, but I won't go hard on you, just relax." That soft but husky tone is making her heart race.
He leaned closer as he pressed his lips to hers while cupping her face. Yukie was surprised but she closed her eyes and responded to the kiss.
Their hearts finally beat as one when they kissed.
It's gentle and innocent as if their hidden message is expressed through their kiss, and the guest applauds for their kiss.
They did not know that this bride and groom had an emotional attachment but secretive, they should have met in the first place after all.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Mr. & Mrs… Arison.
The married couple of the Kingdom of Adkins, King Alexander Spencer Arison and the soon-to-be Queen Yukie Mae Arison."
After the officiant made that announcement, loud gasps and shocks could hear, even Yukie.
"Wait pastor, I think you announced it wrong. It's Queen Consort, not Queen."
Yukie corrects the officiant cause she doesn't want to make her wedding fail but Alexander responds to her that it made her jaw-dropped.
"No my wife, you are now a queen here in Adkins, you'll be crowned soon after this wedding ends."
And they saw her family sides facial expressions in a pure dumbfounded and also Prince Viktor.
She is surprised that he is here but Yukie doesn't care about him now.
And King Alexander's lips formed a triumphant smile to King Harry.
