Before the sacrificial soldiers of the Blood Conquering Empire, dispatched to attack the Heavenly Don Empire, a sight unfolded that left them stunned. A town that hadn't existed before had sprouted in the space between them and the nearest city of the Heavenly Don Empire, Heaven City. Construction in the town was ongoing, and the soldiers were left speechless.
Ye Tian, the captain of the sacrificial soldiers and once known as Ot Tian, son of Emperor Ot Charles, called his troops to gather in a circle. Ye Tian had been stripped of his title and surname and adopted by a farmer named Ye Long, and now he is currently trying all his best to ensure the farmer lives a good life and that's why he came back to the ancestral zone to amass some wealth. With his current unrelenting determination and wisdom the sacrificial soldiers elected him their spokesperson.
"Brothers," Ye Tian began, "what are your thoughts? We might be called foils and sacrificial soldiers, but we can't just throw our lives away. I hope you have suggestions."
A lady among them voiced her concerns. "Boss, I believe the Heavenly Don Empire is well-prepared. Even the workers constructing the town don't seem alarmed by our presence."
Another man, more cowardly in tone, spoke up. "Boss, we love the Blood Conquering Empire, but it's clear we have nothing meaningful to offer anymore. Why should we die for nothing?"
Nods of agreement swept through the group.
"So what should we do now?" Ye Tian asked. "Going back isn't an option; our leaders would execute us on sight. Perhaps it's better to continue the mission, as we'll likely be killed either way."
Ye Song, Ye Tian's adopted brother and also a son of Ye Long, trembled.
Ye Song timidly suggested, "Why don't we surrender honorably to the Heavenly Don Empire?"
The notion of betrayal echoed through the group.
A voice, this time a lady, protested, "I don't see how that would work. How can there be honor in surrender?"
Ye Tian contemplated the dilemma. "I believe I have an idea. We will present conditions to the Heavenly Don Empire. If they accept, we will surrender. If they do not, we will wage war."
"But, Boss, have you thought about our families? If news of betrayal reaches them, you know they will be executed," voiced a petite young girl.
Ye Tian nodded. "That's why I mentioned conditions."
He continued, "Prepare yourselves for battle while I go negotiate the possibility of surrender."
The soldiers nodded and formed up in military order, ready to engage or defend as needed.
