Teri and his group were awarded points, he's the only rank M student among them, while other four were rank N, Teri's group had team up with Martha's group during the assessment and Teri and his group gathered a total of 30 beasts' core while the other gathered 20.
The result continues with every group having lower beasts' core. The head generals didn't expect any best from them again as this set of students were refer to as the weakest first year students the school ever had, but they were still waiting for a particular student and his group because his brother has always been doing well in the assessment.
"Blake Hoodwink." General Francis called out the 46th person in the row.
Blake walked out with confidence, the air around him boom with confidence and as he walks, it had made the other student behind him feel sick. He walks to the right corner of the stage.
"Do you think they have more beasts' core than we do." Idan asked.
"I'm not sure, you know, he has that strange dark magic, so he might have used it to gathered as much beasts' core." Diana replied.
"That damn demon in a human form." Temmy said in a disgust taste.
"Well, there's no rule in the power we use to gathered beasts' core." Timi said as he keeps staring at the bag in Blake's hand, the others couldn't help but look at him as he said those words. "I mean, they all knew he has that power and none of the head generals asked him not to use it and there aren't any given rules." He said.
Blake dropped his bag besides the small clear bag at the front and as he did, the number started rising.
20
30
40
50
The number keep increasing, the students couldn't keep their mouth closed and the head generals were also surprised.
"No one has achieved this before." Head general Michelle said as he keeps looking at the number going up.
"Not even his brothers." The general next to him said.
"Chris's group highest score was 90 when he was a first year student." Another general said.
"And Chris is said to be the strongest in the whole school."
"Do you think without his power; Blake will achieve this." Another head general asked.
"He might not use his power; he's grouped with high ranking students so they might also be as strong as him to achieve that." General Michelle said. "But I'm more interested in another group."
"Which group." They all asked. Pointing towards Timi's group they all thought he's crazy.
"Because they have the assumed strongest student in their group?" Head General Suso who hadn't said anything in their discussion asked, he's tall man with a cold look on his face.
"No, but these people are strange, for the three to team up with the two lowest ranked students in the academy, don't you think it's strange." General Michelle replied.
"Yeah, I'm also interested in them." General Suso said.
---
The number finally stopped at 105 and the students couldn't believe their eyes.
"210 points." General Francis said making the students snapped out of their daze. "The best result so far, the best ever result. A new record has been set, Blake and his group have surpassed the former record of this academy, which was 90 points, the record set by the best student in this whole academy, Chris Hoodwink and his group. Now it has been bested by his brother, Blake Hoodwink and his group. This looks more like a family record." General Francis said.
"This is crazy."
"How did they achieve that."
"He must have used that strange power."
"This is unbelievable."
The students were left in awe, having different thoughts running through their minds.
Blake couldn't stop smiling to himself and his group were also happy as the students keeps staring at them and some were hailing them as they walk to the stage, Blake look towards Timi's group, he wanted to see the look on their face, he wanted to see how surprised they would be, especially Idan.
But looking at them, his heart had thump faster as he could see a bone chilling smile on their faces except Gary who had his heard down. Sweat was running down his face and his heart was beating faster, the smile was making him feel sick and the others besides him also notice how strange he's acting.
"What's wrong." Jake who was closer to him asked, but he didn't answer and just reposition himself and keep moving.
'What's that?' He thought as he couldn't get the strange smile off his mind. 'Did they have more beasts' core than we do.' He looks towards them again and could still see the smile on their face, Jake who was looking at him had caught the movement of his head and could also see the smile on their face but he didn't think anything strange of it.
'I swear, if l lay my hands on you four, I'll crush you.' Blake said inside.
---
"I thought the number will keep moving up." Timi said as he couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"With all those confidence that make me feel sick, so that's all they have." Idan replied as he keeps staring at the large 105 on the bag.
"I think he's looking at us." Temmy said and as the others see him looking at them, they couldn't stop smiling as they imagine what Blake's reaction will be when he saw their score.
"They'll all be in for a surprise." Diana said.
Gary listening to them from behind all this time with his head down finally raised up his head and move towards them.
"I accept the offer of training with you people." He slightly bowed down. "I can now see how great you people are, even with Blake's power and high ranking students grouped with him, he still cannot achieve what you people have done, so I accept to train with you guys." Gary said without looking their face.
"Huh? Great? this is the first time I'm hearing thatt." Timi said.
"Me too." Idan said.
---
Blake and his group got to the head generals' table to have their awarded points.
"Blake, you'll will be awarded 55 points and Jake will be award fifty, while others will have 35 each, you agree?" Head General Musoro said holding onto a long stick and flat wood on his table with ink by his side.
Blake think about it for some minutes, but he couldn't think of any good thing coming out from Timi and his group's smile.
"No, deduct 5 marks from each of their points and add to mine. Fair enough." He said and his group members didn't say anything, even with the 5 deducted marks their mark is still higher than other students.
"Huh? Okay." General Musoro said as he started writing their points in front of their names.
After the last four groups were called in the first set, head general Francis announced the rank of everyone in the first set. Some of them ranked up to the next rank while some had remained in the same rank and their points increased but not enough for them to rank up. The only group who had no point was the group of rank H who have no beasts' core.
Jake has ranked up to the rank F upper class, the highest rank in the school, the three rank H among them also ranked up to rank F lower class. None of the other students had ranked up like that, is either they remain in the same rank or they ranked to the next rank, but these three rank H students had skipped the next rank and rank up to F. This was because their point was enough for them to do that, they were already at the peak of rank H before the assessment.
Many students in the rank F lower class were unable to move to the upper class because they don't have enough points, Jake and another girl were the only one who had move to the upper class to join Blake and Idan.
Blake's point is now above every other student in the F upper class, nobody is close to him in points, even Idan who was above him before with about 5 points was now below him.
"Blake Hoodwink and his group has achieved what is not possible for any first year student, Blake has now surpassed the strongest first year student, Idan Kidan." General Francis said.
"Idan was assumed to be the strongest student because he best Blake in one on one duel and his point increased by five when that happen so he was above Blake with 5 points, but now Blake has bested him in this assessment with 70 points, so because of this, we announced Blake Hoodwink as the first year strongest student, before Idan could best him again, he would need at least 75 points which might be impossible but we know he has also done well in his assessment." He explained to them.
The students couldn't stop saying all sort of things among themselves.
"So now let's move to the second set."
