"It vanished," Lilliam said as he watched the red glow disappear.
"I can't fight it like this."
Swish!
Once again, the sound of the wind was heard. This time it came from his left side. Dodging it, he stepped back a few paces.
The huge club passed in front of him, vanishing once again into the misty dust.
Standing still on the ground, Lilliam stopped moving and focused all of his attention toward the sound to figure out the next direction of its attack.
A few minutes passed, but the expected assault did not come. Lilliam did not stop and continued to stay in that position.
Then he heard...
Swish!
"from my back!" With a step forward, he jumped to the front, avoiding the deadly club once again.
The two of them continued this routine for a while, with Lilliam keeping his sole focus on dodging. After a few minutes, Lilliam was completely exhausted due to the constant focused state.
"Lilliam!" Through the dust, Ronald's voice was heard.
Hearing the voice gave Lilliam a little ease.
"Sir," he replied.
"Get out of there. That cunning b*stard is taking advantage of the dust," Ronald shouted.
"I'll do, sir," Lilliam agreed as he abandoned the thought of battling it in the dust.
Outside the dusty area, below a huge tree, Ronald is leaning on the root of the tree. The part he is leaning on has been damaged by the strength he got hit toward it, and the armor that once gave him a heroic look is shattered in its back area.
If someone looks from a distance, the figure of Ronald leaning on the tree resembles someone resting in the breeze.
Looking toward the clouded, dusty area in front of him, he put one of his hands on the ground and tried to stand up. But as he exerted force on his hand, it trembled a bit and soon lost its strength, causing Ronald to fall again to the roots of the tree.
"Tch, I never thought I would have to use it here."
With an annoyed tone, he took out a small bag typically used for carrying coins. From it, he removed a tiny green-colored bottle. The bottle had a curved and slightly pointed shape, resembling the horn of a wild creature.
Flop!
He opened it and drank the green liquid inside, then tossed the bottle away.
"burgh!" A tiny burp came out from his mouth.
few minutes after drinking it, his body began to glow with a light green halo, and in a few seconds, it disappeared.
Lifting his hand, he bent his fingers inward, putting some strain on them. After doing this a few times, he once again put his hand to the ground and, with a display of strength, tried to stand up.
"That thing is going to pay for my healing potion," he said as he stood up.
Even though there were crushing marks across the back of his armor, it remained in place without falling off his body, almost as if it were glued to him.
"Now, what to do about this?" he said as he looked toward the dust. The dust in the area is constantly increasing, making it even harder to see through it.
"If I want to beat it, I have to lure it out of this dust, but how do I do it?" he wondered.
Hoosh! (instant)
From the dust, he heard the familiar sound of the wind.
"Is Lilliam still in there?"
Whoosh!
But at that moment, a strong breeze of wind blew from the south, passing through the forest, carrying away the troublesome dust that had been bothering Ronald and Lilliam.
Looking towards the calming wind, Ronald couldn't figure out what to say.
"It couldn't have come at a better moment," he finally muttered.
With the dust gone, the whole area became clear to his vision.
What appeared in was Lilliam, who stood on the ground without any motion in his body, still totally focused on the sound of the creature's attacks. But as he felt the blowing wind, he opened his eyes and looked forward.
In front of him, at least ten feet away, stood a creature with a gray-green-skinned body. Its height was more than two times that of him, and it wielded a club as a weapon, a large weapon for the creature's size.
"Damn ogre," Ronald muttered as he extended his sword toward it.
"Let's see how you play games now."
Lilliam quickly stepped back and backed up toward Ronald, standing still beside him.
"What happened to your sword?" Seeing Ronald's empty hand, Lilliam asked.
"It got stuck in its body; apparently, it's tougher than it looks," Lilliam replied.
"You can stay back; I alone am enough for this."
"Yes, sir." In response to Ronald's command, Lilliam stepped further away from him and the creature.
"Grhh," seeing Ronald in front of it, the creature roared and struck once again with its club toward Ronald.
On the other side, avoiding the blow, Ronald leaped forward and prepared to deliver a strike from his sword. But...
"Huh?" Before he could do something, something came.
"Arghhh!" With a roar, something dashed from the forest toward the ogre and sliced its hand in half.
"Raargh!" The ogre screamed in pain, holding its injured hand and stumbling back a few steps.
With the unexpected interruption, Ronald did not land his strike. Instead, he focused his attention on the newcomer.
"Raven, what's you doing here?"
Clad in silver-colored armor, the newcomer was Knight Raven , who was now covered with the green blood of the ogre.
"Same goes for you," he said, facing toward him.
"What are you doing here? Didn't you tell me that you needed to gather information about the Force of Ascend?" Raven asked.
"I did, but I heard that there's an ogre that's been running wild in the field where we grow our medicinal plants, so I came to take care of it," replied Ronald.
"But what brings you here?" he asked.
"Training," said Raven with a wry smile, resting his sword on his shoulder.
"Eh, sir!" from behind, Lilliam called out.
"It's fleeing?"
"What?" Ronald quickly turned his head and saw the ogre running.
"No, you don't!" Raven said as he leaped forward and dashed. He quickly appeared in front of the ogre, and as he did, he jumped up and slashed his sword across its face, making a deep wound.
