The original Dragon Ball universe was already absurd; its power scale made little sense, and its characters even less. Sometimes, it's hard to know just how faithful it is to its own logic.
Akira Toriyama claims that with a power level of a thousand in DBZ, you could destroy the moon. But then, the power scale goes into the hundreds of millions, and it doesn't even seem like the warriors can destroy a mountain during a fight.
The excuse Toriyama gives for this issue is that they restrain themselves from destroying the planet while fighting. But tell me, Akira, how is it possible for a berserk Broly to hold back while fighting?! Dragon Ball is one of those worlds where it's better not to dwell on details and just watch them throw punches and flashy ki blasts.
Finally, with the arrival of Dragon Ball Super, a completely audacious character was introduced, one claimed that when he fought seriously, the universe would be destroyed - Beerus, the God of Destruction.
There's something curious about Beerus, the purple anthropomorphic cat. His power has changed as the story progresses, always increasing. His power-ups are more blatant than Gege's boosts to Sukuna.
One thing's for sure, he's the strongest and most mysterious god of destruction. He's also the laziest and loves to eat. By the way, he's two hundred million years old and still throws tantrums like a little child. So, as I said, don't dwell too much on DB's logic.
...
Honestly, Allen didn't know how to deal with Beerus. Should he speak respectfully while hoping he doesn't act selfishly?
Beerus examined Allen with seemingly little interest in his eyes. "You're going to die..."
Allen broke into a cold sweat again but realized that it wasn't a threat from Beerus; it was more like a statement of facts.
"What kind of stupid kid gains the power of a God of Destruction when they're so weak? Do you want to die?"
"Beerus-sama..." Allen took a step forward and bowed. He wasn't used to using Japanese etiquette, but he knew that this was how Beerus was referred to in the original story.
"Well, at least you know how to be polite..." Beerus smiled. "Are you aware that if you annoy me, even though you're weak, I'll destroy you?"
"Yes..."
Beerus's face lit up even more at seeing Allen so respectful. "Well, I might teach you a little... enough so that you don't explode when you leave this room... of course, if you pass my test."
Allen felt something very dangerous and unstable inside him - the power of a God of Destruction from the world of Dragon Ball Super. However, Beerus was right; Allen would die if he left this place without learning to control that power.
"Beerus-sama, what should I do?"
A malicious smile formed on Beerus's face. Allen wore a dark expression as he mentally prepared himself for whatever was to come.
...
*Allen's POV*
Okay, I admit I said I was prepared for whatever, but what the heck?! I'm standing in front of a stove cooking while Beerus watches from a large table with a serious expression!!
I knew it... I knew in the world of Dragon Ball there are many absurd things, like the King of Everything having the mentality of a child and this glutton for Earth food.
"What's wrong? Do you have a problem?" Beerus frowned at seeing me still. "Your life and my appetite depend on this!"
'Yes, I have a problem, and it's you!' I thought but didn't dare say it out loud.
Never mind, if I have to cook for Beerus to train me, I'll do it! And not to brag, but my skill in the kitchen is not inferior to my current strength.
I put on my favorite black apron with the kanji for 'willpower.' It's a matter of mindset; I should accept that my path to strength lies through cooking. Just saying it makes me feel depressed, but it's okay.
My gaze sharpened, and I could feel Beerus's eyes on my back, but I was no longer intimidated. Right now, I'm a cook... I'M THE DAMN BEST COOK IN THE WORLD, AND I MUST CREATE THE BEST FOOD IN THE WORLD!
My hand moved to the ingredients; firstly, the quality affects the outcome, but there's no problem. In this world, everything can be manifested just by thinking, so I summoned the most perfect, highest-quality ingredients with perfect ripeness.
There was no need to clean them, but I did it anyway; it's some kind of ritual too, I washed them as if giving a massage to a lover.
"Oh... it seems I underestimated you."
Beerus's tone was more relaxed, with a hint of appreciation, but I didn't respond; right now, my mind was entirely focused on the kitchen.
Cut as precisely and quickly as my hands allowed. Preheat the pans to the right temperature, the oil, the right amount, and type, move on to the next - wash the meat, marinate it done. The more I immersed myself, the easier the manipulation of the ingredients became; I even used the six eyes during the preparation.
Wait, at this moment, the Malevolent Kitchen meme is canon!! Damn, it almost distracted me, but I managed to focus once more!.
One thing to complain about is that many professional dishes require many spices, but you must know what to put, how much, and at what time.
*End of POV*
...
Unexpectedly, Allen took Beerus's request seriously. While there was the threat of inevitable death if he failed, the God Beerus was pleasantly surprised by Allen's cooking skills, complemented by his respectful attitude. Lately, he's only encountered insolent people who refuse to listen, to the point that he's lost much of his initial prestige and presence.
'Unexpectedly, he doesn't seem like a bad human... but let's see his cooking...' Beerus relaxed as he listened to the noise from the kitchen; it was like music to his ears.
...
After an hour, the dishes started arriving, and Beerus's eyes widened in surprise at both the aroma and sight.
Allen's eyes showed satisfaction, having never cooked at this high a level before.
"Foie gras with sweet wine reduction, Fresh oysters with mignonette sauce, Lobster soup with saffron hints, Caviar served with blinis and sour cream, Black truffle risotto, Wagyu A5 steak with truffled mashed potatoes, Duck à l'Orange with Grand Marnier glaze, Omakase sushi with a variety of premium fish, Lobster tail with clarified butter, White chocolate and raspberry soufflé..."
As Allen finished naming them, he averted his gaze from the table, knowing how outrageously expensive it would be to prepare this in real life. It was fortunate that no ingredient had a price here. At the same time, Allen cursed Beerus in his mind for forcing him to prepare things he hadn't even eaten before.
The God of Destruction took the fork, trembling, and tasted the first dish. Allen covered his ears as if predicting his reaction.
"DELICIOUS!!!" Beerus shouted.
'I already knew...' Allen smiled and lowered his head, tired but satisfied.
Beerus began eating non-stop while Allen watched from a safe distance. Minutes passed, and each dish was cleared, even the leftovers. Finally, Beerus leaned back in his chair, burping.
"..."
Allen looked at him expressionlessly, causing Beerus to regain his dignified and intimidating appearance. But after seeing Beerus's previous display, he no longer intimidated him.
"It was a feast befitting a God of Destruction..." Beerus praised. "But it wasn't enough to be worthy of my teachings..."
Allen smiled as he still had a secret weapon. "I forgot the final dish, Beerus-sama!" Allen placed a huge tray in front of Beerus. "It's a castle of Madagascar vanilla pudding."
"You convinced me... I'll teach you!" Beerus immediately replied, getting up and patting Allen on the back.
Knowing Beerus's weakness for pudding, Allen only smiled falsely, seeing that his plan had worked.
....
To the viwers Allen simply closed his eyes for a moment. Is it cheating to gain power this way? It might seem that way from the outside, given the short timeframe, but no one can imagine how long Allen has been inside that world.
...
"What should I do?!" Thor stepped back as he endured massive blows to his body.
Thor is very powerful, don't doubt it, unfortunately, you can't see it in this situation. It must be understood that the regular Thor from the comics is not at the level of a Celestial, let alone Thor at this stage of maturity. So expecting Thor to defeat something that once faced seven Celestials, even if Loki currently barely rivals a Celestial, is very unrealistic.
Artoria is in the same situation; neither of them is weak; Loki is simply too powerful while wearing the Destroyer. Everyone is lucky because, as furious as Loki may be, he still has a limit. Loki desires to rule, not destroy; otherwise, the entire solar system would have disappeared long ago.
"Ugh..." With a final massive blow that made the atmosphere tremble, Artoria was thrown, though she managed to deflect the damage with Excalibur and her abilities, suffering only minor wounds. However, this left Loki facing Thor alone once more.
In Thor's eyes, it reflected that he was prepared to die.
"You've always been brave in the face of death..." Loki closed his eyes for a moment, almost hesitating in his actions, but he simply couldn't contain his rage. Perhaps the Destroyer was already affecting him, but that didn't matter; Loki had convinced himself of what he had to do. "but I am burdened with Glorious Purpose..."
"It's quite tiring to hear you say that..."
"...!"
Loki's movements stopped, not only his but also Thor's and Artoria's.
In several parts of the world, people felt a terrible chill, infinitely greater than when they saw Allen use Sukuna's Domain.
Allen walked slowly; his face seemed thinner and visibly tired, even Crown Clown had left his body and turned into a bracelet. Anyone would say that Allen hadn't eaten or slept for weeks.
Even so, strangely, this emaciated appearance of Allen caused unimaginable terror, although it was directed only at strong individuals; the normal public couldn't feel anything.
Allen continued walking slowly, not rushing; he didn't need to hurry for anyone. He advanced step by step, at his own pace, and no one else moved because he hadn't permitted for them to do so.
Allen reached Loki and looked at him without aggression or anger, just a calm gaze, but Loki's back was already covered in cold sweat. He had never felt such a sense of insecurity, not even with his father in ancient times.
It was such a ridiculously oppressive feeling that it took the breath away from the god; Allen looked at Loki with his eyes that had changed from gray to a faint purple hue.
"Loki, were you going to kill your brother?" Allen asked simply.
Loki began trembling with fear, something that even the madness induced by the Destroyer couldn't counteract. Loki's lips trembled, but he didn't utter a word.
Allen felt this was strange, so he thought for a moment as he looked up and then realized what might be happening.
"Loki... you can speak..."
"H-He's n-not my b-brother?" Loki's voice trembled but managed to utter a simple sentence.
"Nonsense, you lived a thousand years together; how could he not be your brother?" Allen shook his head. "Just admit that you don't want to kill him, but you're too proud to stop at this moment."
"N-No... it's not like that..."
"Yes, it is, but I think that armor isn't letting you think straight!" Allen slowly touched Loki's arm, just that, and the armor shattered into a thousand pieces.
"...!" Loki stopped breathing at seeing something so absurd. Allen bought a cloak from the system store and gave it to Loki, as he was naked. Loki took it robotically and put it on quickly. Then, he remained silent, waiting for Allen to speak.
Allen directed his gaze to the sky and felt several entities observing him, some even at a level he couldn't currently discern. However, Allen ignored them and focused his mind on Asgard.
'As I suspected, not even the power of a god of destruction is omnipotent in this ridiculous world like DC comics...' Allen thought, but without showing fear or weakness.
Allen's consciousness observed old Odin sleeping. "Hey, how long do you plan to sleep, old man?!" Allen said, annoyed; all because this old man had fallen asleep.
Odin immediately opened his eyes, feeling a headache from being forcibly awakened, but he didn't mind since Allen had done him a favor.
Without hesitation, Odin put on his armor and left the palace heading for the Bifrost. Frigga didn't stop him, but her gaze said it all; even if Loki was a traitor, she still saw him as her son.
