Chapter 349 - 349 The Boys: Anger On The Edge Of Death, Ice Queen and Akeno's Great Bounty.

While all this was going on, one question remained unanswered: why did a tank follow and obey William Butcher?

It all started days ago...

With the help of Madelyn and Rayner, Butcher had secured congressional support to prepare an attack against Vought.

No one was pleased with them after they assaulted Congress. Despite their denials, Vought couldn't hide something like this. Nevertheless, no one dared to attack Vought directly for fear of a response that would start a civil war. The large number of powerful and dangerous Supes at Vought, especially the Seven, or more precisely, Homelander, was the main issue.

From the moment The Boys began to hunt down the members of Payback and Soldier Boy, the risk of a final showdown was ever-present. Butcher swallowed his pride and spoke secretly with Mallory, not telling anyone, not even Allen. They planned a fake fight to lower Stan Edgar's guard towards them.

The government made a secret deal with Butcher and Mallory, "Prove that God bleeds, and we'll bite Vought in the neck."

...

Mallory, Rayner, and even Madelyn watched Homelander from a base via a drone, all operators in shock.

Homelander injured? Homelander on the brink of death? No, even the thought of Homelander being hurt was absurd!

Homelander knelt, wounded and bleeding. He had never done that before, even if he often found himself in a corner sitting in his containment room or being laid down for tests and experiments; somehow, Homelander maintained his dignity.

But now... God had bled...

Mallory looked at Rayner and Madelyn, and they both nodded. She grabbed a transmitter, "Begin the purge..."

Simultaneously, more than a hundred Vought facilities and buildings across the country were attacked. Guards and staff at all levels, including many Supes, would be arrested; if they resisted, they would be killed.

Of course, Vought fought back, and many Supes, confident in their powers, attacked the soldiers, expecting to crush them like ants. But among the soldiers, many used a version of Compound V called V24, which Stan Edgar had been distributing among various politicians of all levels and wealthy individuals to curry favor.

A kind hacker named "Rebecca Walker" provided a list of politicians who had accessed this V24.

Madelyn returned, even with all the preparation, defeating Vought would be dangerous. But with her help, several Vought executives defected from Vought, no one liked being used as a disposable pawn.

Ashley was the first to secretly abandon ship... but unfortunately, she could do nothing more than obey Stan in handing over the Ω (Omega) compound to Allen.

It was perfect timing, Vought was being destroyed and neither Sister Sage nor Stan Edgar had the mind to be distracted from killing Allen.

Everything went well... right?

No...

Allen's current condition and not having his power to help them defeat Homelander was unexpected by all.

"It won't end like this, it mustn't end like this, I won't let it end like this. I am Homelander! No matter how much they reject me, no matter how much they hate me, they can't get rid of me!"

Homelander grabbed the lever in his abdomen and tore it out, causing blood and part of his organs to be damaged. A normal person would be on the brink of death, but not Homelander, not a life form so tenacious to survive in the worst circumstances.

Annie wasted no time and attacked with her powers; Kanji used all his strength and lifted a tank that had been evacuated and threw it on Homelander.

"Don't underestimate me!!!"

Homelander stopped joking, grabbed the tank, and handed it back to Annie. Without wasting time, he attacked Butcher, who still needed help to get up....

Artoria narrowed her eyes; she knew Allen wouldn't be happy if they let Butcher die, but for Artoria, the most important thing was Allen; she silently apologized for him not moving from his position.

"Butcher!"

Butcher pushed Hughie away from him and grinned as he pulled his middle finger out to Homelander.

"BUTCHER!!!"

Butcher's death seemed inevitable...

But...

The bloody scene never came; the air grew cold, the ground froze, and the temperature dropped as if out of nowhere, they entered an ice age...

Artoria opened her eyes a little in surprise, she sighed and then went back to concentrating on protecting Allen.

Homelander never reached Butcher his fist was stopped by a woman.

"Who are you..."

"Your death..."

A large spike of ice appeared from the ground in an instant, freezing Homelander without letting him move; The light blue hair moved in the icy breeze while the blue eyes denoted coldness; her beautiful face was partially covered by some ice and longing.

The Ice Queen had returned!

...

...

...

With Allen...

Everything started with a flash in the darkness, the exact point where Allen compressed the energy of his attack to the extent that, for a moment, it became a solid object.

"Yellow..."

In front of Allen, Void blinked and appeared with a flash on his finger similar to his.

"Huh?!" Allen couldn't believe it.

Scarlet eyes flashed, "Interesting~, you compress energy that acquires solid properties for an instant; on release, you invert the process so violently it's like a tiny supernova, in size but not in power."

Both yellows collided creating a wave capable of affecting space-time. Allen separated from Void for a moment, surprised that he copied his technique; that's absurd!

Void had the same characteristics and abilities as Allen because he was created by him, so if Allen wanted to win, he had to be stronger than when he arrived at this place.

Yellow was just a small joke he made with the energy compression, but when releasing his true power, he evolved it into the technique explained by Void. However, Allen had no time to use the technique before Void replicated it.

"Hey," Void appeared in front of Allen with a terrifying smile, "I also created something interesting~"

Allen felt fear, "Clown Crown! Critical point at 1000%!"

The innocence functions by synchronizing with the bearer, the higher it is, the more powerful it becomes, but when it surpasses one hundred percent, an anomaly occurs, a mutation, resulting in tremendous power.

Allen didn't think of attacking; he used his sword to protect himself by instinct.

Void's red eyes smiled, seeing Allen's action, and spoke in a whispering voice, "Allen, do you know that you use the temporal phase shift skill with the cut that splits the world? You can cut something from the past?..."

Even with all his defense, Allen could not avoid being split down the middle..... He couldn't, because Homelander's attack had already happened....

"Urgh..."

It wasn't an illusion; Allen was indeed split in half.

Allen activated a "Save Point" and returned to the moment before being cut.

"Did it really work? Hahaha," Void laughed, amused. But Allen's gaze was anything but amusing. It was true that to win Allen had to become stronger than his version when he entered this place, but... Allen hadn't considered the possibility that his antithesis would become stronger and even faster rate than he did.

Monster...

Even that description falls short...

"Not yet!" Allen screamed, bringing the critical point to three thousand percent! Crown Saber shone so brightly it could turn the sky into day.

Void smiled as Allen lowered his sword, the sword passed through Void, killing him. However, he also activated his Save Point...

The Void cut in half, disappeared, and appeared completely fine, "Hehe, that's fine... it would be boring if I had an advantage..."

"You... what..." Allen was speechless.

In this place, there were no people, no system. Nobody saw it, or so Allen thought, so he stopped worrying about hiding things he would normally do.

A drop of sweat fell down Allen's cheek, his eyes were wide open, his pupils were shrunk, and his breathing was agitated. He couldn't believe that just now Void let himself be killed just to not have an advantage over him!

Anger was drawn on Allen's face as his eyes turned purple.

"Do you want to do this the old-school way? That's fine; I don't mind~" With a teasing smile, divine ki appeared around both while enveloping them with an aura so terrifying that it could destroy a universe with no problem.

Void's eyes remained red.

Allen crushed the ground creating a crack the size of a planet.

The calm smile on Void's face reflected on all screens as the fist was an inch from impacting.

Without loss, without delay, without a problem, Void slightly tilted his head just enough to dodge. At the same time came his counterattack to Allen's abdomen.

Allen had already anticipated that his blow would be useless and stopped Void's attack with his palm. Allen twisted his hand to twist Void's wrist, he just laughed and allowed his arm to be broken.

Void gathered energy in another hand in spiral form and placed it at Allen's side, he had to disappear to dodge. Void instantly healed his injury.

Immediately Allen was attacked by multiple cuts from Cleave and Dismantle.

Allen opened his eyes. It was the effects of the Malevolent kitchen dominion, but Void never extended his domain.

"...!" Allen created a ki shield similar to that of number seventeen in the power tournament. The cuts impacted without being able to penetrate the shield.

"Fiuu is a good shield~"

"Shut up!" Allen was furious and pointed at Void, his face changed with surprise, but Allen did not let him react.

"White!"

The space around Void warped; it was like seeing pieces of mirrors reflecting each other; he was trapped inside; he could no longer teleport either with spatial glitches or temporal phases.

Void's eyes looked at Allen in astonishment the same way Allen had looked at him not long ago.

"You..."

Allen didn't give him time for anything and collapsed the space around Void.

Void used another Save Point and appeared, he looked at his hands for a moment.

"Originally, the white you designed uses universal coordinates to fix a point in the universe where you make two universes converge; this is based on the theory that universes are flat, not round, and are superimposed..."

"However, this time, you didn't do that. You used two extra dimensions around me to trap me, and you made them collapse... how did you do that?!"

"..."

Allen watched Void in silence; after all this exchange, he managed to discover that Void was different from him. Indeed, both had the same starting point, but their ideals, mentality, heart, and desires are different; of course, their way of reasoning is also. Therefore, even if Void can do things that Allen could also do, such as combining effects of abilities... both can and will arrive at different results in more complex areas.

"Limitless" is an incomplete technique; no, rather, it is a very complex technique, so much so that even its creator and the following generations only reached purple.

Allen, in a desperate attempt and seeing himself cornered by Void, evolved what, for him, might be another type of "white." But since it was only an invention of his own, someone else could create a different white if they tried.

Allen was outclassed by Void, so using the same techniques would not work, the same " white " would not work. So, this time Allen based it on string theory, based it on three points:

– Everything is connected.

– There are eleven dimensions; humans and the earth exist in three, and the influence of the fourth... is time.

– Lastly, just as a two-dimensional being cannot interact with a three-dimensional being, a three-dimensional being cannot interact with a four-dimensional being.

The space that Allen created around Void was five-dimensional, and consequently, when it collapsed, Void couldn't escape.

Allen, who had been under pressure from the start, but for the first time, surpassed Void, gaining a trump card aside from Clown Crown.

"I'll tell you one thing, I have people waiting for me outside, so I won't do something as stupid as killing myself to have a good fight!" Allen narrowed his eyes, "Come on, poor imitation of me... show me that confidence you had earlier..."

Void smiled, but this time with irritation. He was a monster, but he forgot that Allen was one too.

...

"Beerus-sama, what do you think? Do you still believe that young Allen is unworthy to be your disciple?"

"Hmph, he should have defeated that poor imitation by now!" Beerus crossed his arms, unwilling to admit that Allen had impressed him.

Whis smiled as he watched Beerus act like a tsundere, his eyes focused on Allen and Void. 'Poor imitation... eh'

Whis did not despise Void...and deep down he knew Allen and Beerus didnít either.

...

Allen understood his current position; the five-dimensional white was a terrifying technique, but Void was a monster. If Allen used that technique more, Void would end up learning it, and it would be Game Over.

Allen decided not to use white until Void had only three lives left. Ideally, he would use white to kill him in his last life but that sounds unrealistic.

Allen's eyes turned golden, and he pointed his hand towards Void.

Void did the same... but was surprised because what came out of Allen's hand wasn't energy. Instead, it was a voodoo restriction. Allen did not use Sentry's power (Golden Eyes) but Alastor's (Red Eyes).

"You tricked me!... Well! you're learning!" Void smiled in frustration as the voodoo runes covered his body.

Allen's eyes were a disadvantage because they indicated what kind of power he was about to use, so Void didn't let his eyes change from red. Now Allen used that fact to deceive Void.

The fight between Allen and Void wasn't just about power, new techniques, exploiting the opponent's technique flaws, deceits, growth, evolution, and counterattacks. It was a physical, power, mental, and emotional battle that was constantly changing.

Allen restrained Void...

This tactic would only work once...

Allen disappeared and apparently had Crown Saber in his hand...

"Grant my wish... what I want to cut is you..."

Void's smile of frustration softened, "I'll give you one more life; you deserve it..."

Void was cut and died once more, then appeared looking up to see Allen standing in the sky.

Allen stared into the void with an enormous presence, one earned by facing and defeating powerful enemies.

"You already know, but I'll tell you once more," Allen's eyes sparkled, "you are the copy."

"Tsk... you said it," Void growled.

The remaining lives for Allen are Nine...

The remaining lives for Void are Seven...

...

Rias leaned back in her seat while her hands still trembled... she couldn't even gauge the level of the fight unfolding before her.

But one thing she knew was that either of them could easily destroy her world...

Rias looked at Akeno, who also had a pale face...

[Dear viewers, don't worry, Allen can't use his full power outside of his world, so even if he goes somewhere at some point, he won't be nearly as strong...]

The system was still concerned about Allen but also had to consider the viewers. For people who have seen Allen for a longer time, they know he's not a threat to innocent people, but for people like Rias and Akeno who just met him, he could be terrifying.

Rias sighed and calmed down, "Am I alright, System? I was just a bit shocked by the difference from the previous Allen, but I can see that, unlike his opponent, Allen is a decent person..."

[I'm glad to hear that...]

Rias looked at her queen, who was gripping her arm and watching the screen, her eyes showing pity.

"Akeno, are you alright? Allen is not dangerous... he"

Akeno shook her head a bit downcast, "It's not that, it just makes me a bit sad to think about what that adorable young man had to go through to change to that level..."

"..."

Rias looked at the screen, this might be more evident to them than to people who have been with Allen longer.

Allen grew up too fast, no, he was forced to mature by his circumstances. He went from reading comics in the bathrooms of his school so people wouldn't know his tastes to facing practically invincible monsters like Void.

Rias also felt pity, but when she saw Allen's eyes, she smiled.

"Don't underestimate him, Akeno," Rias gave Akeno a penetrating look, which surprised her, "He's not a boy who needs pity, better send him your support through the Chat, if that's still not enough you can give him a hug from that big chest of yours when you see him, that would make any man happy."

...

(Yeah 🍷🗿)

...

Akeno blushed at Rias's words but immediately returned to her coquettish smile.

"Ara ~ but if buchou is just as big why don't you show your nobility and do the same?~"

Rias's eyes widened, then she frowned while hugging herself, lifting her breasts, Akeno had an arrogant look and did the same.

['Host, you have to survive; the life that awaits you is very good, don't give up!']

The system knew Allen wasn't the kind of man motivated by lust, but at this moment, it didn't know how else to support him from outside.

===

A/N: Allen may not be motivated by lust, but he wouldn't turn down the BIG rewards being a gentleman of culture 🍷🗿

PS: This story needed an "Ara Ara~" character. 🍷🗿

PS: It's a good day for Esdeath's fans, she will return to history permanently.
