At night, Jenson reached home late after attending an unplanned meeting.
He shrugged off his coat and changed into his indoor slippers. As he was about to head upstairs, he noticed a slim figure curled up on the sofa.
At that moment, the laptop screen before Kristin flickered. Jenson noticed an interior design plan opened on the screen.
Although it was just a rough draft, Kristin's ideas and thoughts that went into the design were apparent. Every stroke of the drawing showed off her skill and talent in designing.
A rare look of admiration flashed across Kristin's face. But he was bewildered.
Why was she under the radar for all these years if she had such talent?
"Nghh…"
She turned over in her sleep. A teardrop fell from her eye and sunk into the sofa cover.
He stood next to her and watched as she muttered again after some time.
"Dad…"
His eyes flickered. The cold glint in his eyes turned into a scoff.
The next day.
Kristin woke from her sleep. She was confused as the blanket draped on her shoulders slipped off. She exercised her stiff shoulders and started at her blanket. Something struck into her mind that she hurried to upstairs.
When Jenson went downstairs, a mouth-watering aroma wafted up to his nose. He saw Kristin coming out of the kitchen with an apron around her waist. Kristin noticed him and greeted him. "Where did you kept your bowls? I couldn't find it."
Jenson went to the drawer containing utensils. He pointed. "The bowls and chopsticks are there. Don't forget that."
After breakfast, Jenson handed a key to Kristin. She gaped at him in disbelief. "Why are you giving this to me?"
"I told you yesterday. You can drive that Ferrari." Jenson said.
"I am fine." Kristin replied but quickly took the keys when she saw Jenson's scowl expression.
"What about you?" Right after Kristin asked that question, she regretted uttering those words. There were plenty of cars in Jenson's garage. Of course he had plenty of choices!
Jenson was holding his blazer when he heard Kristin's question. The man raised his brows and grinned, "Do you want to follow me to work?"
"Ah?" Kristin's was astonished. When she realized what he meant, her face flushed red. "That wasn't what I meant!"
Kristin wasn't that good at driving, but she was a stable driver. Although this was her first time driving in a long time, she was slow and steady, hence nothing happened on the way to work. She managed to reach her office in time.

"What's wrong?" Tyler asked the moment Janice entered with ugly face.
"Today, I saw Kristin came to work in Red Ferrari. She kept saying we hurt her, but that was merely her excuse. She must've been secretly dating another man all along."
Janice's heart was full of hatred. She thought the person Kristin loved the most was Tyler. For the past year, she deliberately crossed paths with Tyler so that the man would notice her and fall in love with her.
Janice was not only confident with her looks, but she was also good at putting up a front and presenting herself as a sweet, pure woman. She was popular in the entertainment industry – there were plenty of people who were obsessed with her. So, she was certain that Tyler would fall for her instead of that dull woman.
As she had expected, Tyler fell for her and started pursuing her passionately. Janice's schemes progressed as planned and they ended up together naturally. Tyler was even willing to dump Kristin to be with her.
Janice thought that she had humiliated Kristin badly and had thored her younger sister under her foot, but now Kristin had found herself another wealthy man? No, this couldn't be it!
Beep! Beep!
Kristin frowned when she saw a message from Patrick.
'why aren't you here yet?'
Looking at the traffic outside, Kristin quickly replied, "I'm almost there. The traffic is heavy."
"You have fifteen more minutes. If you're not here by then, you have to bear the consequences."
When Kristin stopped her at the door of the private room.
"Why are you so late?"
"The traffic was terrible."
"I have to make this clear to you, Kristin– this deal is crucial to us. It will benefit you if you can sign this deal."
Before Kristin could digest his implied meaning, he shoved her into the room.
"Sorry for being late."
Everyone in the room was Cooper's business partner. They turned around and appraised her.
"You must be Kristin. Mr. Davidson mentioned you just now," Patrick Windsfield said with a smile.
"You're finally here, Kristin!" Oliver Hudson added.
