Ever since Scarlet learned that Alex could feel what she felt, she tried to keep her feelings to herself but lost control after telling those people that their loved Ones were going to die. Then having to deal with the Wild Female it was just too much for her and the barrier on her emotions had just slipped.
Alex had started to feel her when she was on her way back. As soon as Alex felt the sharp pain in his heart, he knew that it was Scarlet and went right to her as fast as he could. He knew that whatever had happened at the makeshift clinic must have made her upset. Having been through so much these days he wanted to be with her and went out in search of her to let her know that she was not alone.
Snatching her up and running away he took her to a cave that he found earlier that day and said, "You are safe here and can feel any way that you want." Holding her she said, "Thank you." Leaning into his embrace Alex said "I am your Male, and I am supposed to be with you and help you in anyway. Besides with or without the Mating you are my top priority because I love you."
Scarlet was taken back by what he said. It was still New for her to except others with her past of always being alone and not trust anyone. Holding him close she let the tears fall and allowed herself to feel the emotions that she just couldn't contain anymore. She hated loss and didn't like for people to lose loved Ones. Killing to live was One thing that she had to do but the loss of a child or parent was different.
Alex realized that things could not be as easy as she made them seem in the past and felt horrible that she had gone through this alone, and he had just learned this information. She had hidden so much from them and endured so much without a hint or word about anything. Alex didn't know how to comfort a Female, but he figured out how to make His Female feel better. He held her close and said, "Don't worry my Sweet Scarlet I have you and Love you Very much."
Scarlet wrapped her arms around Alex and held him close breathing in his unique smell saying, "I Love you Fan Boy."
With tears in his eyes, he said "I Love you the most My Little Spirit." He wrapped her up in his coils and let her be weak in his arms. Scarlet was not used to being weak around others but couldn't stop the flow of emotion with Alex. They were now Married in the eyes of the people if this land, and Alex was Her Male now this connection was undeniable. The since of Security was so strong that she couldn't help herself but let go.
Scarlet could not deny the love that she felt for him at this moment. She had been lonely for so long because of her past in Her World and now she had people that she could Truly trust. It occurred to her that she had not trusted anyone for so long that she couldn't remember the last time she felt so safe.
After a long time in his embrace, she Looked up at Alex and said "I'm fine now we can go back. I Love You." Then Kissed his Cheek.
Alex was taken back by what she said and after a minute he smiled and said "Okay, You must be tired."
When they got back and settled down things seemed peaceful for a while. Around Three o'clock in the morning Scarlet grasped her chest and shot up out of breath, dripping in sweat. This freaked everyone out and Nick was the quickest to ask "What is it? What is going on?"
Scarlet couldn't speak and she could only hold her chest with her face contorted like she was in agonizing pain. The Group of Males didn't know what to do and began to panic and look for the cause. Alex could feel so much through the connection, and he couldn't tell what it was or even if she herself was hurt.
Since they were out of ideas, they weren't happy about the only solution they had. Handing her to Travis to see if that would help, she started to calm down, but Travis started to act strangely.
Finally able to take a decent breath Scarlet realized what had just happened. She grabbed Travis' shoulders and said "What we are feeling is loss. The sick from earlier have Passed on and we are feeling the Loss of life and the Grieving of their Loved Ones who were left behind. Just try to breath and let the feelings pass through you."
Travis did as he was told and after what seemed like a long time he said "I think it is getting better now. That was intense have you always been like this?" Scarlet shook her head and said "Not really. It was faint before. I leveled up since Alex and I Became Mates. So that must have something to do with it. I just need to get a better grip on my Heightened Abilities."
Doctor Sebastian said "Why did it affect you like that? That didn't seem normal." Scarlet's face fell as she said sadly "Yes and No. My Master is supposed to help me regulate my advancements, but since he isn't here, I need to make do with it on my own. That's why I was at a Bottle Neck before. The Master is supposed to help ease me into a Level up and make the transition easier."
Travis spoke up and said "You have me, don't you? You even said that I have the same ability as your Master. Just tell me what you want me to do, and I will do my best to learn and help you."
Scarlet thought about it for a moment and sighed heavily before saying "I don't have much of a choice now, I guess I need to. I don't know much about how to go about it though. My Master said that he would teach me AS I leveled up. He said that I was Unique and needed to be nurtured carefully. Although I didn't know what he meant by that back then. I guess this could have been what he was talking about, because that was a big leap. It could also have been Alex's power as well. It may have changed because of that."
The Group didn't like the way she talked about her Master but decided to pass it off since he wasn't here. Travis said, "I will do whatever is required of me to help you get stronger I Swire it."
The others didn't like that he was going to be so close to Scarlet and now he would never leave. Alex asked, "Do you want to get some rest and we can figure things out later?"
Shaking her head, she said "I'm not sleepy now I slept a lot yesterday and I need to burn of some Energy." Getting up and heading for the door she said, "Don't be so worried I'll be fine, just get some sleep I plan to leave in the morning." With that said she went to the water for a swim.
