After getting dressed and steeled my heart, I recalled what I needed and how to lead the conversation and practiced them. Though it won't go 100% to my liking but I had to practice as my past self didn't do negotiation or business-related stuff so I am unsure how it'll go.
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
After opening my door, I saw Arthur there who after looking me up and down smiled and beckoned "You look as if you're going to war or something. Relax kiddo, it'll be fine"
Saying so, he put one arm over my shoulder and used his other to ruffle my hair as if petting me which I found annoying but this damn body found it comforting and nostalgic so I couldn't even remove his hands even if I wanted to.
With him laughing and patting me, we reached the door to the main office which was hella big, way bigger than I imagined. To my surprise, while I was admiring this wonderfully carved and designed door, rather than knocking or calling out, Arthur just nonchalantly opened it.
He led me in and I looked around, finding bookshelves on both sides, an entire glass wall on the opposite side that portrayed our mansion's garden which had a work desk right in front where my father, Davin, was sitting.
I saw my grandfather, Nathan, sitting on one of the luxurious sofas casually looking outside, averting his gaze as opposite him was my mother Viria who was staring daggers at Nathan. I tried finding Evelyn but she was nowhere.
Arthur whispered into my ear after seeing my darting eyes "Mother sent Evelyn to her room and she is against this whole charade, so don't worry. We will protect you so just speak up, okay?"
I merely nodded at him relaxedly but I turned serious as Nathan coughed for the attention in the room and to evade Viria's glare.
"Cough... So, you are here, Jarien. Come take a seat" Nathan said quickly to disrupt Viria's attention.
I answered his cue by sitting next to my mother who caressed my face lovingly, for some reason I felt comfortable and as if it was okay to let loose and I unconsciously relaxed.
"Why? Why did you..." muttered my mother but she could not complete it. I also stiffened at her question as I could not speak the truth and for some reason, I didn't feel like lying.
I just stared at her face and opened my mouth then closed it. In the end, I just clenched my fist as my heart was aching seeing her like this. I knew these weren't my emotions but I could still feel them so it hurt.
"I... I didn't." I barely managed to speak these words which silenced and shocked the four of them. I resigned to my instincts and told the truth, making my entire carefully crafted plan go down the drain.
"If... I am just saying If I wanted to do that, I'd know when, where, how and what to do. I am not an idiot who would do it just to let you guys save me and be under constant monitoring to never even try it again after failing once" I spoke without a shred of doubt as if it were the universal truth.
"Explain." said Nathan while staring down at me.
"I mean, I knew there are guards secretly protecting me whenever I leave the estate alone and secondly, I don't like pain so I would've taken a painless poison not a slow one in case I can be saved. It is contradictory to the truth" I replied in a calm tone while staring into his eyes.
"You... Jarien do you mean you were poisoned? Father! Someone tried to assassinate my son and you want to punish him for it?" Said my mother as she hurriedly hugged me and consoled me which she couldn't earlier while shouting at Nathan.
'My entire plan fails if I don't get punished, I didn't want to resort to this but these damn emotions of Jarien are controlling me so I can't manipulate their emotions but at least I can use some tricks.' My thoughts were all over the place but I needed to come with contingency plans urgently.
"Mom, I ate it knowing it was poisoned" I said to change the situation. My mother had a surprised gentle smile at 'mom' I guess but then it turned into an angry expression but I couldn't let her intervene into my plan.
"I took some antidote back then so I thought it'd be fine but who knew it was such a strong poison. But it helped me in a way that after I gained consciousness, I realised that I have awakened my bloodline" I finished but the room turned deathly silent.
"There is a problem though, I have inherited both mom and dad's bloodline..." This statement startled them completely as dual bloodline was very very rare. Due to their emotional fluctuations, waves of pressure rippled stopping me from continuing.
"You... You do realise what you are speaking right?" My grandfather asked me to which I nodded and he started chuckling rendering me speechless.
"Old man, stop! This also turns things dangerous for him and his life will be at risk whenever this information gets revealed" said my father and everyone's countenance turned grim and serious.
'This went smoother than I expected... Maybe it is because my eye colour changed from fiery orange to heterochromatic and my hair colour also strangely shows four colours. This is different from the memories I have.' I'll ponder over this later.
"That is why I think you should punish me" I said in that suffocating silence.
"Jarien, what's wrong with you? Have you hit your head somewhere?" chided Arthur out of nowhere.
"NO!! What I mean is, if I am punished the mastermind would think he/she is safe and you can find them while I can be sent to a safe place to prevent anyone from discovering the fact that I have awakened the dual bloodline. As well as the mastermind will send more assassins so it's three targets with one arrow" I laid my plan bare.
"Not Allowed! You should stay near us so we can protect you. And what's with the bait? I won't allow you to risk your life." said mom.
"Viria, he has proposed this plan himself, so at least hear him out first." said my grandpa, saving me from a lot of explaining and convincing.
When I looked at him feeling the need to give him a thumbs up, I saw him smiling craftily as if he was planning someone's doom sending a shiver through my spine, so I could only give him a thumbs up secretly inside my heart.

The perspective changes from 3rd person and 1st person are there for a reason. The change of using name to mother to mom and so on is also for a reason. It's not an error.
