While Arthur was unhappy with the realization that he would be forced to be the next family head, Viria decided to leave with him to sort out her still conflicted feelings and also talk with him regarding potential suitors, so she took Arthur with her, giving the father-son duo some privacy.
"Father, do you really believe that?" asked Davin.
"Haha, no way" chuckled Nathan in response and continued "On the surface it seems perfect but it's just on the surface. He is a kid after all, but to think he hid things yet Viria agreed to it knowingly is praise-worthy and he even left it to us to perfect it" said Nathan while smiling with a dangerous glint in his eyes.
"Davin, find who dared to harm him and let's follow along his plan for now but if it gets dangerous withdraw him even if you have to knock him unconscious" finished Nathan.
"I agree and I think people have forgotten the wrath of our family so let's show them what happens when someone messes with our family" replied Davin with an ominous cold smile.
"Do not reveal his plans to anyone other than the family and make preparations so he leaves tomorrow night" said Nathan and left without waiting for a response.
Davin stood there with mouth agape realising the weight of his father's words and steeled himself for what was to come.

While they were using their brain to overthink and cause chaos, I was walking towards Evelyn's room while thinking 'they must've realised my repulsion to the family head position, right? Besides this, I don't believe they'll reach any serious conclusions.'
While going to her room, I was mentally repeating the lines and how I would scare and warn her but I didn't know that it was all for naught as I wasn't in control fully yet.
[Evelyn's POV]
I was reading the books on magic and alchemy that mother gave me, so that I wouldn't embarrass myself when asked about it.
I was disturbed by someone knocking on the door close to midnight.
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
"Who is it?" I asked in an impassive tone as I was engrossed in my studies knowing it must be something important for it to be at this hour.
"Evelyn. It's me, open the door" Jarien replied in a commanding tone.
'Why is he here? Shouldn't he be getting punished? Did he snitch on me? No right?' I thought but still opened the door anxiously. He closed the door as soon as he entered my room.
"So, you were reading huh. Good for you" he remarked while looking around as my books and notes were all over the place. I felt irked due to his tone as if he was mocking me. So, I thought to get to the point but he cut me off before I could even speak.
"Evelyn. This is serious so listen carefully." His tone suddenly turned extremely solemn so I stared at him waiting to continue.
He smiled and stared right into my eyes "You're way too anxious for someone who enjoyed watching me get beat by your 'hooligans'"
'What's with him? Wasn't this supposed to be serious?' I thought but he continued in his condescending and mocking tone.
"Evelyn. Congratulations, I am leaving the duchy" his words echoed into my ears and I stumbled on my feet but he held my shoulders and kept staring into my eyes. I didn't think he'd say this directly after that kind of tone but it seems like he hadn't finished.
"I am giving you advice, since you're my younger sister, stop feeling inferior to me as that led you astray and you've forgotten whose daughter you are."
"Stop your silly actions and your pursuit of me. Don't act like you haven't realised it yourself. You craved mother's love and felt jealous towards me and you even hurt my only friend due to your feelings."
"I forgave you then and I forgive you now. But don't test me anymore and if you want to chase after someone, then chase after mom or grandma Vanessa. I am not a mage after all."
"Also cut off your rotting parts this time and grow anew. You may believe I am just older than you by a few minutes and what right do I have to lecture you, then you'll regret it. Trust me, if you've ever thought of me as an elder brother for even a second"
"Stop. I'll leave after this; we may never see each other again so let me say my piece and goodbye to you at least. And don't worry, no one knows about what you did."
"I know you won't change but at least mull over my words and seek advice from our family, I'm sure they'll help you. Stop hiding yourself behind that stupid pretence of yours."
"I hope you do well in the academy next year and try making good friends for your own future. The family loves you; you just never had the vision to see it, idiot"
"I was poisoned not suicidal so take care and don't trust strangers easily. Lastly... Remember it's okay to cry so let go now 'Lyn."
With that, I broke out in tears. He didn't let me refute or talk back but made me cry and left without a word, he's such a bad brother. He knew it always, but then why? Why did he never stop, complain, teach me, and let me do as I wish? I don't know. I have never hated him but I couldn't accept the fact that he got everything without asking while I tried so hard yet I didn't even reach him and now he's leaving just like that... Should I tell mother everything? She'll definitely stop it right? But what if she hates me after that? I can't decide anything. I will definitely...
Ding!
[You have one new message!]
The entire room was silent except for a girl's sobbing and sniffling and she had barely controlled her emotions to check her message as her mind was in chaos due to what her brother told her just now and left without even admonishing her for her wrongful actions.
[Jarien: Don't do anything stupid 'Lyn. Keep silent and grow from your mistakes. They know I was poisoned but not by who, so use your mistakes as experience to mature and grow.
Ps: It was Lim who did it. Deal with it before they trace him and prove it to yourself that you will grow.]
She had barely controlled herself but reading that message only made her start crying again, wettening the screen of the phone which fell from her hands and she also collapsed on the ground contrasting her pristine princess-like appearance and kept weeping to let out her hidden emotions after a long time.

On the other side, Jarien ran to his room barely controlling his emotions and after sending the message to his sister, he collapsed and threw away his phone, appearing to be deep in thought about something while his eyes were moist.
"Shit! Shit! Shit! What the hell happened there? Why are my eyes moist? Do I have dual personalities or what? Nothing's going my way today!" screamed Jarien sitting behind the closed door in a complicated mood experiencing a mix of different emotions after he touched his eyes to find that they were moist, as if he was on the verge of tears.
